ORAS OU A Balanced Team in need of ORAS Balancing (M-Venu)

Changes in bold!
Hello All;
I love making teams, started back in gen 5 and have been playing on and off competitively. I made a team when X and Y came out and reached 1450ish back then. It took me several team changes to get it this far from trial and error and criticism but with the new ORAS metagame, I fear I need help again to keep this team great =/. Please help me make this team solid again.

(Midori) Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Synthesis
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Knock off

My Bulky Special attacker. Venusaur loves to switch into grass moves like spore, grass moves aimed at Rotom, toxic aimed by walls etc, and fighting moves aimed at heatran. I chose a special attacking venusaur in order to make will-o-wisps less of a problem and still be able to hit back normally. Set was suggested by Specs Fake-Out in order to add more offensive presence. I've added Knock off despite the minus nature since I am always likely to get burned and prefer the special attack power. It helps me against grass walls like amoonguss that try to stall me with their black sludge recovery.

(Foundori) Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 204 Sdef / 52 Spe
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Roar
- Stealth Rock
- Ancient Power
My Sdef wall, phazer and rock setter. A talonflame counter and has great synergy with my team. I decided to use roar to help stop setups. SR because it helps against that zard y along with the ancient power to hurt opposing fire types. Speed EVs to help set rock on normally faster targets.

503.png

(Honeywell) Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

My Defensive wall, second bird spam check, and volturn core with landorus. Suggested by Specs Fake-Out again in order to have a heatran switch in. Will-o-wisp to help against physical threats and volt switch to provide a safe switch in for my pokemans Pain split for some sort of healing.

I looked at my bulky FWG core and realized I lacked real speed. The new metagame is full of fast mons which led me to include:
683.png

(Bumi) Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 28 HP / 252 Atk / 228 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Knock Off
My revenge killer and physical choiced sweeper. I lacked speed and Landorus-T had offense and speed when scarfed. Intimidate allows it to switch in more, which I tend to take advantage of against excadril (switch in and take a hit or on a predicted earthquake and scare it out or ko. U-turn for the momentum and dark types like Tyranitar, knock off for those evolite and psychic types, stone edge for flying types, and quake for stab.

380.png

(Chai) Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 Sp.Atk. / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- Roost
- Defog
Next was my defoger and special sweeper. Latias can switch in on quakes aimed at heatran and gets rid of hazards safely once bisharps are out of the match. Draco meteor as a before death fire work display or for a ko. Psyshock for the blissey/chansey I encounter. Roost to help give me more of 1 chance to defog if needed.
130.png

(Larimar) Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 56 HP / 220 Atk / 232 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Bounce
- Substitute
Next is my set up sweeper; Gyarados uses its offense to help clean up later in the match. Using sub and leftovers to help prevent a status affect, it ddances and threatens enemy M-Venusaur which I have had to outstall....with my own M-Venusaur...not fun lol. Also uses intimidate to help lessen switch-in damage when not on an Equake prediction and to cause switches. Gyrados is also my answer to Mega Sableye after a sub is up.

Welp, that's my team. Its taken me at least 13 team changes(lost count, tried so many ou mons, even Conkledur and espeon =/) to get to this point. I've only made it to 1450ish back then and am currently trying this new team out. Please help my team in anyway you can ^^.

Just bumping once more. Is there something else I can add to help critiquing my team or is this team just too bad now that ORAS is out?

This is a pretty balanced team, but I feel like Conkeldurr isn't so viable anymore with Gallade, Metagross all these fairies running around. My suggestion would be to replace it with Mega Altaria. Which would mean you'd have to replace Mega Venusaur as well. Amoonguss fits perfectly as they both play the same role for your team by the look of it. That alone wouldn't solve everything though. You could replace Gyarados with Slowbro. Slowbro could be cool as it gives you a nice regenerator core also allowing you to deal with Gallade and Metagross a little better.
Sets:

Altaria-Mega @ Altarianite
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Return / Hyper Voice
- Heal Bell
- Roost
- Roar / Earthquake

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 240 HP / 228 Def / 32 SpA / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Spore
- Sludge Bomb / Clear Smog
- Giga Drain
- Foul Play / Hidden Power Fire / Synthesis

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 240 HP / 228 Def / 40 SpD
Bold Nature
- Slack Off
- Thunder Wave
- Scald
- Psyshock

I agree with needing something for Gallade and Metagross. I have never really had a safe switch into M-Medicham and Gallade seems like a better one.

Would just replacing Gyarados with Slowbro be enough?

M-Venusaur has always been so great at beating fairies and I used Conkledurr to resist dark and threaten enemy Bisharps.

Do they really need to be replaced? I know I bumped twice asking for criticism and want to seem unappreciative for the advice, I just feel replacing 3 pokermens is pretty abrupt. I hope that makes sense.

Yeah I guess you could just replace Gyarados with Slowbro. I was thinking you should change your mega to a fairy mega because of how big a problem Mega Sableye is

I have always loved slowbro, and before you suggested it I was thinking about incorporating him into the team somehow because of gallade etc.

The set you suggest is great, thank you. It gives me some nice needed speed stopping status. My latias already has psyshock and the SAtk EVs to hit hard with it. Is there a better move I can replace Slowbro's psyshock with or is that necessary?

Hmmm I see your point about Sableye. I only have experience with regular Sableye and seem to be lucky enough to not have run into a M-sableye. I also lack a fairy move. I was thinking about it and want to know your opinion on azumarill taking a spot on the team. Perhaps instead of Slowbro/Gyarados or Conkledurr. Perhaps something like this:

Azumarill @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Superpower
- Waterfall
I am not the best with EVs but would this help? HP evs to take hits from both sides, particularly from hard physical hitters like gallade and gross since it doesn't have bad defenses. Assault best to help against special attacks on the switch. It could form a core with my latias. It would provide a fighting move for Bisharp, Play rough for M-Sableye, Waterfall and aqua jet for stab and priority. Just trying to throw things out there for your opinion and the opinion of other raters since I suck at this team making stuff. It took me about 13 changes to get this team this far =/.

Hello there! I say keep VenuTran. It was and still is, a very solid core. However, I feel the team lacks any true offensive presence. Scarf Lando, sure. Lati? Cool. Conk?... Meh. My suggestion is to first make mega venu offensive. A minor nitpick on Tran, but make the HP EVs 248 for less residual damage and a lefties number. The extra 4 now can go into Spdef. I'm fine with lati, lando, and gyara, but conk should be replaced. Gyara checks the mega psychics just fine although slowbro is definitely an option. The team is now annoyed with no Tran switch ins should you choose to keep gyara so defensive rotom wash would be my suggestion over conk. Gyara can handle sab just fine because it has sub imo.
Here you go:
Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Synthesis
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power Fire

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Specs Fake-Out
I find it funny that I originally ran a Rotom-w over my gyarados when I first created this team. I'll change Conk for Rotom but I have concerns over the change in Mega-Venu. I use him as a defensive part of my team. Would the change in nature and EVs still allow it to take hits well or is he just an attacker now?

Update:
Yeaaaa Rotom and Tran are great enough to form most of the defense my team has. Thank you for the Venusaur and rotom suggestions man.

Bringing this RMT back up because I have tested it further and would like some more advice. I am climbing the ladder steadily and have come into a problem with outrages.

Without a defensive steel or fairy it can be hard to take a hit and allows dragons like Black Kyurem, Garchomp, and Dnite to poke holes in my defenses. Perhaps its my prediction/decisions but Rotom-W can't take a hit and burn most of the time from lets say a D-nite outrage when I come in on the switch, take a hit, and fail to burn because I faint.

Is there any way I could remedy this? Perhaps better Def evs or a replacement on the team?
