I am a beginner in the metagame so I only select pokemon I am familiar with.
I am not good at using defensive strategies, like protect, roost and rest

Arcanine (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- ExtremeSpeed
- Wild Charge
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
This dog is used to tackle tyranitar with close combat, though not effective with blissey
Fire moves are for ferrothorn or scizor which is usually switched for gyarados or jellicent, so I need to switch it away
hidden power (ice) is used for countering dragons but replaced with wild charge after boosting its attach evs
It is not useful in front of chandulure
Lapras (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 196 Def / 216 SAtk / 96 SDef
Hardy Nature
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Toxic
- Thunderbolt
If it is in full health, it can be used to remove dragons with ice beam, though opponent can switch in ferrothorn
It is also useful in dealing with cloyster, gyarados and starmie
For vapareon, tentacruel and jellicent, multiple moves are required. This may lead to the risk of being poisoned and burnt
Sing is initially used but its accuracy is very low
For donphan and hippowdown, however, lapras can only remove them with 2 hits so the opponent can successfully apply stealth rock
Metagross @ Leftovers Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Zen Headbutt
- Explosion
- ThunderPunch
It is used for fighting, especially conk before bulking up and drain punch
It can also used for taking toxic after knowing
Explosion is to destroy dangerous pokemon which will be revealed in the bottom
Earthquake is originally included but replaced with stealth rock
Garchomp (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs:
Hardy Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge
It is prone to ice punch, ice beam
but I think it is safe to include a dragon
Earthquake is sometimes in vain for floating pokemon
I am not so sure with fire blast as attack is boosted
The accuracy of stone edge is low
Heracross (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Guts
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Earthquake
- Night Slash
Its powerful moves can be used for grass, rock, steal, , dark, ice and finally psychic, though risky if it is slower
But it can only 2HKO Blissey, reuniclus, porygon 2 and ferrothorn which may cause it poisoned or paralyzed
It is also used for 2HKO fighting type
Switched out when gliscor and confrigigous
Jolteon (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Shadow Ball
It can 2HKO most 1X opponent with choice specs
Volt switch lose its effect when there is a ground pokemon
Therefore it can only come out when ground type is knocked out
Garchomp can OHKO it with earthquake
The side impact of choice specs is very obvious when Jolteon is the last pokemon
Greatest threat
Reuniclus after heracross is dead
Floating heatran
All forms of Rotom as there is no type advantage
Nidoking as it has favourble type advanatge
Kami trio with their very high speed and no type advantage
Water/Ground due to lack of grass moves
Faster Garchomp when lapras is affected by stealth rock
Floating Excadrill which can OHKO Jolteon
I also want to know ways to deal with stealth rock and toxic spikes.
