Just started playing but managed to get to the 1300 Elos with this team. Nothing too creative, just 6 strong pokemon with some attempt at balance. The team can be found here: https://pokepast.es/40f341dcc752df8a
Corviknight: Good to have a bulky pokemon to switch into. Protects me from obvious earthquakes, from excadril, etc. A number of times I've been able to spam bulk up and roost, and then crush the opposing team with brave bird. Also a useful defogger, which I should use more.
Azumarill: One of my favorites. Use belly drum when I think I can survive it. Then often can take down multiple pokemon with aqua tail. Knock out or play rough if I don't think aqua tail will be enough. Bit useless if I the belly drum doesn't work out though. Very vulnerable to faster pokemon who also have priority.
Dragapult: Fast speed and strong special attack lets me kill a lot of pokemon. Can survive fire attacks well for the switch in. Sometimes I'll lead with it but I've had better results with cinderace. Shadow ball is for flipping on the coin on killing an opposing dragapult. The diverse movepool helps me handle a lot of different threats. Draco-meteor can one hit a diverse set of mons, and can easily switch out after and do it again when possible.
Clefable: Often try to get a few calm minds with the soft-boiled. Flamethrower has been really helpful against magearna, scizor, etc. Moonblast for everyone else. Counters dragapult well and is a reliable switch-in. Can be hit hard by physical attackers since calm mind only increases special defense.
Cinderace: Often lead with it. High speed and high physical attack. U-turn first move if I don't like the opponent. Gave it a band because I didn't find its attacking power strong enough with scarf. Zen-headbutt to counter toxapex, which I've had a lot of trouble with. High-jump kick is a good counter to urshifu.
Magearna: Usually will try to get a calm mind in, and kill with flash cannon if I can since fleur cannon lowers sp attack. Use fleur cannon if I need to. Volt switch to switch out or against water/flying types. Often find it dies kind of early and don't get as much use as I'd like from it. But when it works, it's a lot of fun getting the sp attack boosts from killing. If it were faster, I think I'd have more success. Can't really play it like dragapult or cinderace.
