A [Double battle] Team (4 gen OU)

Hey,
So I'm sort of newish to pokemon, especailly to double battles, but here is my best attempt at a good double battle team. Also, it's important to note I've made this team with a teammate, so It is split into two groups of three.

On one side:
The Swords/Speed Passer
291.png

Ninjask - Focus Sash
Jolly, 252 Att, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Swords Dance
X-scissor
Protect
Baton Pass

Ninjask's Role Is to pass speed and Swords Dance to Metagross, and It is almost guaranteed that he can pass +2 in both of these. He can also do decent damage after a Swords Dance with X-Scissor. Protect allows him to stall while getting speed boosts. He can also Swords Dance while under the cover of Follow-Me from a team mate. Focus Sash ensures any multi-target move doesn't kill him.

The Backup Swords Dance (?)
251.png

Celebi - Leftovers
Impish, 112 HP, 144, Def, 252 Spd
Swords dance
Recover
Seed bomb
Baton pass

In a nightmare scenario in which Ninjask is teamed up on by two Multi-target move users, he can at least pass some speed, to Celebi who could in turn pass swords to Metagross. She also has the ability to go on the offensive herself, and stab'd seed bomb does decent damage. With her bulk she can often set herself up if needed, especially with recover, and do some damage of her own using seed bomb.

The Sweeper
376.png

Metagross - Life orb
252 Att, 252 HP, 4 SpD
Bullet Punch
Earthquake
Thunder punch
Ice punch

Metagross' aim is to get passed speed and attack from ninjask, and then sweep. This set gives Metagross great coverage, and also allows him to use earthquake while Togekiss is out, or when Medicham uses Protect. with 810 attack after one swords dance Metagross can easily OHK almost anything it hits for neutral damage. It's also bulky enough that it can take a hit.

On the other side:

The Attention Seeker
36.png

Clefable -Lum Berry
Bold, 252 HP, 152 Def, 104 Spd.
Follow Me
Light Screen
Reflect
Substitute

Clefable is cable of set up screens rather effectively, especially if your opponents attack a protecting ninjask on the first turn, as they often do. Clefable' real goal however is to protect Ninjask while he passes stat boosts. and I mean just look at her picture! She's clearly a drama-queen! She can also protect herself from an opponent trying to put her to sleep with substitute, after being woken up by a lum berry.

The Second Attention Seekekr

Togekiss - leftovers
Calm, 252 HP, 252 Spd, 4 def.
Protect
Extreme-speed
Roost
Follow Me

Togekiss is superior to Clefable both in bulkiness and in the fact that she allows Metagross to use earthquake. She is harder to kill, and can heal with roost, which removes most of her weaknesses. In a pinch she could finish off an enemy with extreme-speed, or break a shash, but not much else.

The Second Sweeper
308.png

Medicham - Focus Sash
Adamant, 252 Att, 252 Spe, 4 Spd
Psych Up
Bullet Punch
Hi-Jump-Kick
Rockslide

Finally we have Medicham, who is capable of aiding in a sweep even without a boost, but can also copy Metagross'. Hi-Jump-Kick is downright deadly with stab behind it, and rockslide allows Medicham to hit both enemies, and bullet punch has priority.

The idea behind the set is that Ninjask will pass speed and swords to Metagross, who, along with Medicham, will become a monstrous sweeper. On turn one, normally, Ninjask would use Protect while Clefable uses either Reflect or Lightscreen, depending on the need. Togekiss would then use follow me while Ninjask Swords Danced. On the following turn Ninjask would either baton pass to Metagross, or Swords Dance again. Metagross could start sweeping while hopefully having a few more turns of follow-me support. Once it runs out of Follow-Me support, it's time for Medicham to join in the fight! Medicham could either Pysch-Up to gain Metagross's speed and attack, or put his already magnificent 480 attack to good use immediately.

Ninjask is almost guaranteed to pass +2 Att, and +2 Spe, unless the opponent brings 2 double hitters (like surf or discharge), in which case Ninjask could Baton-Pass early to Celebi, who could rack up the Att boost. Substitute and Lum berries on Clefable are for dealing with choice scarfed Brelooms leads and the like. On turn 1 Ninjask would protect, and Clefable would use Substitute. Either the opposing Breloom goes after the Ninjask, in which case no problem, or he goes after Clefable, in which case Lum berry kicks in, and then a sub goes up. Safeguard could also be used instead for similar effects.

The teams does have some major threats to it. A taunt on Clefable or Togekiss will shut them down. Multi-target moves, as previously stated, can really hurt this team. Heatwave, Eruption, and lava plume especially kill this team as Ninjask, Celebi, and Metagross are all weak to them. Haze will also shut this team down very easily.

So what do you guys think? I know it might not be very good, but this is my first double battle team. I'm also not quite sure how to invest Clefable/Celebi/Togekiss' defensive EVs for maximum defenses, and Celebi, and Medicham don't seem to be as usefull as they could be to the team...

Well, in the last day I have been extensively testing the team on Pokemon Online, and I've made a few changes that I think are for the better;
Changes indicated in red*

On one side:
The Swords/Speed Passer

Ninjask - Focus Sash
Jolly, 252 Att, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Swords Dance
X-scissor
Protect
Baton Pass

The Backup Swords Dance (?)

Celebi - Leftovers
Impish, 112 HP, 144, Def, 252 SpD
Swords dance
Recover
Seed bomb
Baton pass

The Sweeper
308.png

Medicham - Focus Sash
Adamant, 252 Att, 128 Def, 128 SpD
Protect
Brick-Break
Rockslide
Zen-Headbutt

I removed Medicham's Speed Ev's and replaced them with defensive ones since he will now be getting baton-passed stats in this new layout rather than having to go after them himself with Psych-Up. Rock Slide hits both his enemies, and under gravity has perfect accuracy. unfortunately however, due to gravity Hi-jump kick had to be removed, so I replaced it with Brick-break. Protect is also an extremely useful move in double battles. It is especially helpful if used in conjunction with Metagross' Psych-up, as Generally both enemies will concentrate on the frail, but boosted Medicham, and ignore the lurking Metagross, allowing him to get boosts of his own. Protect can also be used to protect from a Earthquake if the need arises. Finally Zen-Headbutt is a powerful stab move that has perfect accuracy under gravity, and hits many pokemon for neutral damage.

On the other side:

The Attention Seeker
473.png

Togekiss - Lum Berry
Calm, 252 HP, 252 SpD, 4 def.
Protect
Safeguard
Roost
Follow-Me

Safeguard is simply generally a better way to protect against status than sub, as it works for a guaranteed three turns, and protects the whole team.

The Second Attention Seeker
36.png

Clefable -Leftovers
Bold, 252 HP, 152 Def, 104 SpD.
Follow Me
Light-Screen
Reflect
Gravity

With access to Gravity and Screens Clefable was better used as the second follow-me-er. In this position she can support her sweeping buddies by allowing there moves to have perfect accuracy, and allowing Earthquake to hit everything. If manages to get off screens as well that is fantastic.

The Second Sweeper
376.png

Metagross - Leftovers
252 Att, 252 HP, 4 SpD
Meteor-Mash
Earthquake
Psych-up
Ice punch

Bullet-Punch, I realized, is not really worth it when your so fast, Especially considering Meteor Mash, like many other moves, now as perfect accuracy under gravity.

I don't really know much about double battle so I can't really give you any feedback or anything but your team looks alright to me! :toast:
