Tyranitar: Azelf and Electivire can dent it. I’d have to see if Azelf’s Energy Ball would be enough to OHKO it, since I doubt it would last a crunch attack or something.

Gyarados: He doesn’t stand much of a chance, due to Electivire. Rhyperior could also get it on a switch.

Infernape: Azelf can damage it pretty badly with Psychic. And if Rhyperior is lucky, he can survive a fighting attack and OHKO it with EQ

Azelf: Since Dusknoir specializes in Spc. Defense, he’ll last a psychic and get it hard with a Payback.

Rhyperior: Azelf can kill it with energy Ball, and Rhyperior can get it with Avalanche. Electivire can also hurt it badly with Ice Punch.

Electivire: Unless it has Ice Punch, Rhyperior will kill it with EQ.

Heracross: Electivire’s Fire Punch can do quick work of it.

Salamence: Rhyperior can avalanche or Stealth Rock it, Electivire can Ice Punch it. Forretress could do some decent damage with Gyro Ball as well.

Togekiss: All my Ice, Steel, and Rock moves will kill. All the ones that use those moves can probably survive one of its attacks.

Gengar: Azelf can Psychic it, and Roserade can Shadow Ball it on the switch

Garchomp: Since Electivire can outspeed it, it will OHKO it with Ice Punch.

Raikou: He’ll provide some trouble. The only way Rhyperior could get it would be on the switch. But Electivire can most likely stall it and such, and could wear it down with his attacks.

Lucario: Electivire’s Fire Punches can take care of him.

Rampardos: Once again, Electivire’s Cross Chop can take care of him. Azelf’s Energy Ball will damage ti pretty badly as well.

Tauros: I think Electivire can outspeed, thanks to his Adherence Scarf, so Cross Chop saves the day yet again.

Starmie: … All of my Pokemon can counter fairly well.

Weavile: Electivire’s Fire Punch can damage it pretty well.

Dugtrio: Rhyperior can Avalanche it pretty well, Electivire can Ice Punch it, and Azelf can get him on the switch with Energy Ball.

Alakazam: Dusknoir and Roserade easily kill it. Not sure if Roserade could survive one of its attacks though…

PorygonZ: Electivire can successfully Cross Chop it.

Medicham: Dusknoir can WoW it, which makes it practically useless.

Staraptor: Electivire and Rhyperior can faint it no prob.

Slowbro: Electivire’s and Azelf make short work of it. So does Dusknoir if he has Shadow Punch.

Jolteon: Azelf can damage it decently, and Electivire can stall it like there is no tomorrow.

Aerodactyl: Rhyperior’s Thunder Fang can get it pretty good. Rhyperior also soaks up all of its attacks as well.

Snorlax: Electivire can Cross Chop it, but he is screwed if Snorlax lives after the attack, due to EQ.

Zapdos: Dusknoir and Electivire wall it pretty nicely.

Blissey: Rhyperior and Electivire… ‘nuff said.

Suicune: Azelf and Electivire faint it real easy. Rhyperior can damage it on the switch as well.

Sceptile: We still call him a threat?

Slaking: Cross Chop gets it good. Rhyperior can wall it and hurt it pretty badly as well.

Ninjask: Since most of the time it BPs to grounds and such, Gyro ball will damage them, (And Ninjask) pretty badly.

Metagross: Rhyperior’s EQ and Electivire’s Fire Punch “shred” it.

Celebi: Roserade can get it good with STABed Sludge Bomb. But then again, Celebi’s psychic can damage It pretty well… as well.

Jirachi: Rhyperior can EQ it, but Jirachi can damage it badly with its Special moves.

Manaphy: Electric moves say hi.

Drop Thunder Fang for Stone Edge on Rhyperior. It doesn't out damage Earthquake and Stone Edge against anything.

Dusknoir has no use for Payback, drop it for Earthquake, Brick Break, Focus Punch or an Elemental punch. Shadow Punch or Shadow Sneak over Embargo.

You've got some severe flaws in your threat list. "Gyarados doesn't stand much of a chance" ? He will outspeed your Electivire after a Dragon Dance and easily OHKO it with Earthquake.

Sceptile is indeed a threat, especially if it's a SubSeeder with HP Fire which can cause massive problems for your team.

Azelf countering Tyranitar? Never.

A counter must be able to switch in the majority (ideally all) of the opposing Pokemon's likely moves and survive to either scare them off or KO them.

You should lurk around a bit more, check out other RMT threads and read some of the articles in the ADV section of the site.

I always get Stealth Rock and Stone Edge confused. :P

It has 100 base attack power most of the time, and counters two of my weaknesses. I'd ened a better reason to switch it.

Couldn't Electivire's Thunder Punch faint it before it even uses DD?

Roserade could deal with subseed, but I agree, ti would get owned by HP fire.

Well, Azelf has high Spc. Attack, and Energy Ball is super effective against TTar... do you have a linkt to a damage calculator? I could use one of those.

Well, he'd always be attacking, and Shell Bell heals 2 times more than leftovers when you attack. and Rhyperior has enough attack IMO
Leftovers heals 1/16 of your total HP.
Shell bell heals 1/8 of the damage you do.
They're different, and Shell Bell isn't double.

He would heal 25 per turn with leftovers (With your EVs, and a 31 IV), and have to deal 200 damage each turn for shell bell to tie it.

Hes awesome and everything, but I don't think he can do that one.

Electrivire can get Gyarados before a DD if he comes in right away. If you get trapped or Electrivire doesn't come in right away and Gyara gets a DD off, Electrivire is toast.
Also, if Electrivire is dead, you've got major problems.

What about the times Rhyperior switches in and isn't at full HP, and would have recovered HP from Leftovers after that turn is over? Or the times he misses the enemy opponent thanks to Stone Edge's mediocre accuracy or Earthquake whiffing on a Flying type or a Levitate pokemon? Or the times that Rhyperior doesn't inflict enough damage thanks to high defense pokemon, a problem that could be remedied by using Choice Band?

We know what we're talking about when we suggest things dude, Leftovers has been preferable to Shell Bell since 2003 and that won't change in DP. I suggest, in addition to listening to everything Phuquoph says, that you play NetBattle right now and become familiar with some of the finer points of battle that will translate to DP, because it is clear to me that you aren't quite experienced enough to understand the many details that going into how to both build and use a team. (And as usual, yes, I am only saying that to be mean.)

... I'm sorry for being a pain. Guess I never knew what I talked about. I knew I'd just embarass myself. Thanks for helping me though. And if you thought I sounded emo, I'm not : D I'm starting over. :)
