Yep, this is my first stab at a Dream World Challenge team (No auto-weathers, so don't suggest Politoed, Tyranitar, Hippowdon, Ninetails, or Abomasnow)
It's met with very limited success, so I'm in desperate need of help.
Iron Thorn (Ferrothorn) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Leech Seed
- Spikes
- Thunder Wave
- Power Whip
I use Leech Seed mainly as a way of forcing my opponent to attack sooner, or switch out, onto Spikes. Thunder Wave is there to slow down fast attackers (such as Gyarados) so that even if they boost their speed, it won't matter. Spikes are my hazard; I use that because of the reliability. I use Power Whip as a way of dealing with pesky Politoeds and Gastrodons. Other water types (and anything else without massive defense), too.
Guard (Gardevoir) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Trace
EVs: 96 Def / 252 SAtk / 160 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
I use Gardevoir for the anti-weather aspect. With a Choice Scarf and the given speed investment, Gardevoir can outspeed Max+ Thundurus and Gengar (no scarfs). Gardevoir also can outspeed Excadrill in the sand. Focus Blast is there to deal with almost every sand sweeper that exists, and Tyranitar, too. Thunderbolt is handy against the odd flying or water type. Shadow Ball is for coverage against other psychic types. And Psychic is for a strong, reliable STAB.
Swim (Kingdra) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SAtk / 4 Spd
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Rain Dance
- Waterfall
- Outrage
- Hydro Pump
After Rain Dance, Waterfall and Hydro Pump are just rediculous in the amount of damage they can do. And Kingdra is just rediculous in what it can outspeed after the dance. I'm considering Damp Rock over Leftovers so I can attack more. What do you think? Outrage is for STAB and coverage.
Psyburn (Reuniclus) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SAtk
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Trick Room
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
With the given EVs, this is bulky enough to withstand an attack or two and then Trick Room. More offensive teams tend to have less defenses, so Reuniclus is my go-to for swatting those sweepers down. If they're more stallish, I go to Kingdra to wipe them out with rain-boosted attacks.
Scorp (Gliscor) (F) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 248 HP / 184 Def / 76 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
My other stallbreaker. Really bulky, and able to boost its attack to really good levels. I find Taunt awesome against recovery and boosters. Earthquake is the main attack; I use it for finishing off certain Fire types (Arcanine, Heatran) and other things as needed. Ice Fang is coverage and for dealing with Flying Types in a pinch.
Shineharp (Bisharp) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Defiant
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
- Sucker Punch
- Brick Break
With a STAB Sucker Punch, quite a few weakened threats will find themselves easily defeated. Substitute is for if I can find an opportinity to boost my stats, which leads into Swords Dance. Brick Break is for reliable, useful coverage.
It's met with very limited success, so I'm in desperate need of help.
