Introduction
First things first I want to give a big shout out and thank you to my tutor Lizardman for helping me build this team.
Okay this is one of my favorite teams right now and it has been doing me a lot of good, so I thought I'd go ahead and post it here. This team is a rain offense team built around one of the metagames strongest threats: Substitute Calm Mind Jirachi. I naturally decided it needed to be used in rain as this particular set really flourishes when it has its fire weakness removed and its Water Pulse's power increased. With that Politoed became the obvious next pick for the team and I orginally had a scarf toed to stop things from setting up and revenging but as the team changed and I added members I decided to change it to a defensive set helping me win weather wars far more easily and spreading more status around to help Jirachi out. As for the other members hazards were an obvious necessity so I chose Ferrothorn to lay down spikes and cripple opposing Pokemon giving Jirachi an even easier time setting up than normal. Along with the benefits it already brings Ferrothorn also gives me a defensive pokemon with a solid amount of reistances to help the team out. The next thing I wanted was a way to really help Jirachi out and add some speed to the team I noted that my team really hated hazards and that I couldn't do anything about faster pokemon that could hit hard. I added Starmie in to spin away hazards for my team and to give me an extra power boost with STAB Hydro Pumps and 100% accurate Thunders. I still wanted to keep with the trend of the team being bulky so I did just that with Starmie maxing its speed and then giving it enough SpA EVs to 2HKO Jellicent 100% of the time with Thunder. Since I was using Rapid Spin and Recover in the last 2 slots and Starmie wasn't running max SpA I gave it a Life Orb to increase its damage output. While I was building this team with my tutor Lizardman, we noticed that Jirachi really likes having rain out and hates having other weathers out so I wanted to give my team an edge in the weather war by having a surefire way, should I play correctly, to win the weather war. Just like many Sun teams use Dugtrio to trap Tyranitar and weakened Politoeds, I use him to trap Tyranitar and Ninetales. With weather wars being more easily won I thought that the last slot would be great if I used something that could hit hard but still take a hit. Dragonite became that pokemon being able to abuse rain wonderfully between 100% STAB Hurricanes and boosted Aqua Tails he makes an amazing wallbreaker. On a closing note the name of the team stems from the name I often use on PO: Fortunato and the obvious being a rain team.
The Team

Politoed (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Toxic
- Protect
Politoed was chosen for the team for obvious reasons, its ability Drizzle. Without it Politoed really isn't that great but it still makes a great defensive pivot and typically beats the other weather inducers besides Abomasnow. I chose defensive toed over something like Scarf Toed because the team really needed some extra bulk to help it tank hits while I prepare for a Jirachi sweep, and defensive toed is far better at winning weather wars than scarf or specs. With Scald Politoed can hit stuff with a STAB boosted by rain that burns stuff, which is pretty cool. Ice Beam helps hit stuff like dragonite or grass types switching in that think they get free set up cause I'm defensive. Toxic is an awesome move and helps ware stuff down mainly Gastrodon and Jellicent who come in for free on Politoed. Protect is there to scout stuff like Rotom-W and make the appropriate switch and can be helpful for getting leftovers recovery. Other than that Politoed doesn't really do much, but thats okay because its few jobs are vital to this teams success and its kind of a cute pokemon!

Ferrothorn (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Thunder Wave
- Power Whip
Ferrothorn is a super defensive pivot and the main hazards man on this team. He performs his job so well too laying hazards against many common OU mons and really helping the team out as a whole. Spikes is obvious and it really helps Jirachi and Dragonite destroy teams when everytime something comes in it gets knocked for damage unless they are immune. Particularly other weather inducers. Leech Seed is Ferrothorn's best way of recovering HP and it helps wear stuff down too often times being able to stall something out or giving me an extra layer of spikes before he goes down. Thunder Wave is what really makes Ferrothorn a team player though. With it he can spread paralysis slowing down faster teams and allowing Jirachi to use the hax to make its set up easier. Not only that but when Dragonite is able to outspeed something it usually results in a 2HKO. Power Whip rounds off the set giving Ferrothorn something to attack with and allowing it to smack stuff like Gastrodon around should they try anything funny. Ferrothorn provides me with many useful resistances particularly a dragon and water resist which are both handy for this team.

Starmie @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 216 HP / 40 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Thunder
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
Starmie plays a major role on this team: Spinning away opposing hazards. I chose Starmie because it absolutely destroys every common spin blocker in the metagame with a combination of Hydro Pump and Thunder. Not only that but it wrecks everything else with that coverage bar bulky grass types like Celebi and Shaymin. Hydro Pump is obligatory STAB and destroys a lot of pokes especially with hazards down making it a very dangerous pokemon in rain. Thunder brings up the other half of its offensive moveset and smashes stuff like bulky waters and flying types who resist Pump. Thunder also comes with a great 30% paralysis rate further helping Jirachi and Dragonite. Rapid Spin does what its name implies and spins away hazards that the opponent might try to stack on my field. I chose Recover in the last slot because with Life Orb, hazards, and general damage Starmie can get worn down fast and easily so having reliable recovery really helps with its Staying power. The EVs are designed so that it will always 2HKO standard Jellicent, with the max speed and the rest dumped in HP for extra overall bulk.

Dugtrio (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Reversal
Dugtrio is a really cool and interesting Pokemon in today's metagame. He brings a lot of interesting things to the table particularly his ability: Arena Trap. Other than that he has mediocre attack great speed and terrible defenses. Thankfully he has all he needs to do well. With Focus Sash and no hazards on the field I'm guranteed a trap with him which is great. He really helps balance out the team and makes a great revenge killer by taking a guranteed hit and hitting something very hard in return often times KOing it. Stealth Rock is a necessity on any team and Dugtrio makes a great user of it since he can trap something and then lay down the hazard before he is KO'd by the next Pokemon they bring in. Earthquake is obvious STAB and hits a lot of things really hard. Stone Edge has good coverage with it and hits flying types like dragonite or gyarados who think they'll get a free turn off of him. Reversal is a great move in tandem with focus sash reaching a whopping 250 base power and hitting anything that doesn't resist it extremely hard. Dugtrio not only traps opposing weather inducers but things like Heatran who like to annoy Jirachi if Rain isn't out and I don't get any confusion hax.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 108 Def / 148 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Water Pulse
- Psyshock
Jirachi is the Pokemon I decided to build this team around and I can say with enthusiasm that it is my favorite pokemon ever. It has so many different things it can do that it can often times keep the opponent guessing on what my 2 attacks are alongside Substitute and Calm Mind. Speaking of which Substitute helps me block out status and gives Jirachi an extra turn of setting up or attacking which is pretty cool. Calm Mind gives Jirachi a huge boost in power and allows it to sweep through unprepared teams like nothing. Water Pulse is the first of its 2 attacks and gets a nice boost from the rain hitting stuff like Heatran and Gliscor who try to come in and wall me. It also gets a solid 40% confusion rate with Serene Grace letting me boost myself even more. Psyshock is the other move I chose to use because it means that Gastrodon, Breloom, and other bulky pokemon who resist water/electric don't stop my sweep prematurely. It also lets me beat other Calm Mind users like Reuniclus, Virizion and Latias. The EVs are simple, 148 Speed with a timid nature lets me hit 300 Speed which outspeeds neutral base 100s and below which is a pretty good benchmark, 252 HP gives Jirachi a ton of bulk and 101 HP Subs which means it can beat Blissey and Chansey 1v1, and the rest were dumped into Defense to give Jirachi a bit more bulk against things like Tyranitar's Crunch.

Dragonite (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SAtk / 4 Spd
Rash Nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Hurricane
- Aqua Tail
- ExtremeSpeed
- Roost
This Dragonite set is what really seals the team together, because it wrecks so much stuff its retarded. STAB Hurricane boosted by a life orb does a retarded amount of damage, and defensive behemoths like Tyranitar, Bronzong, Jirachi, and Hetran who can stand to eat a hurricane really hate eating a rain boosted aqua tail. Speaking of Aqua Tail it has saved me countless times and helps win the weather war a lot easier. Extremespeed helps pick off weakened foes particularly Rotom-w who can live a Hurricane and threaten immediately. Roost rounds off the set by giving me reliable recovery with which to re-activate multi-scale to reek more havoc on the opposing team. The EVs are simple max Att and SpA so he hits like a truck while still taking advantage of his natural bulk and Multi-scale. This guy really makes the team what it is and has been such a huge contributor in all of my games. I really love seeing opposing teams that have something like Rotom as their only flying resist because it means Dragonite gets a kill everytime he comes in. Dragonite is also super helpful against Stall breaking through most walls with relative ease, especially the new wave of Sand Stall teams, making Jirachi's job that much easier.
If you want to try the team out yourself, you're more than welcome too.
