A fOUtball team ~ an italian RMT
Hey guys, what's up? Today I'm giving you a team that make me for the first time in my life to 1600 (with a my secret alt) in OU, and this is also my first RMT so let's start to talk to this team that, in my opinion, is very easy to use.
https://pokepast.es/d8c2a041c1accb63
TEAMBUILDING PROCESS

First thing, I need to decide which type of team I would make, balance, offense, semi-stall (because stall is not viable at the moment) or maybe a weather/terrain team?
There are so many options actually so it was very difficult to choose but I started with a pokemon that in my opinion is very effective actually: nidoking

now I thinked at which pokemon nidoking struggle and they are all weak to dark or fighting (or both) so I putted urshifu, and I noted that urshifu struggle versus fairys/buzzwole, that are obliterated by nidoking so we have the main core of the team: nidoshifu

this offensive core lack speed, so I needed someone who was speedy, but who? I've thinked at dragapult initially, but then spectrier was better for this role, besides it struggle versus dark, that are destroyed by urshifu. There isn't any defensive core that can beat effectively this fantastic trio.

now I needed a defensive backbone, an hazard removal, and something to break rain. There's a pokemon that can do effectively this is zapdos, my set is different from the standard but we'll see this later

this team is still weak to physical threats, in particular urshifu, so I added clefable with a classic utility set

The last thing to do was a special wall and a spectrier check, so I added blissey with shadowball to check it better

I noted that blissey was too passive, so I added slowking galar, that also stop qd pheromosa and provide future sight, that's one of the moves that make shifu so powerful actually. It also have regen so we have a good answer if needed in stall battle

My team was still to weak versus heatran and aromatherapy doesn't give the status control that I had in my mind, so I putted Tapu fini instead of clefable. Fini can also cripple opposing pokemon with nature madness so we have finally the team

IN DEPTH

NidoKingsley Coman
Item: Life Orb | Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 96 Def/252 Spa/160 Spe | Timid Nature
Sludge Wave/Toxic Spikes/Earth Power/Flamethrower
Let's talk about this monster. If we look at its stats we haven't nothing of fantastic, just an impressive coverage but the main point of this pokemon is its ability: sheer force. With sheer force there's no recoil of life orb (so 1.3 power at all the moves boosted by the item) and also 1.3 power thanks sheer force. Thanks to its quality it can easily destroy balance core. The problem is its speed: 85 speed is not so good because it's outspedded by a lot of mons so it can be a problem versus offensive teams. This set isn't conventional because it has a particular moveset and EVs. The main innovation of the moveset is toxic spikes that can be very useful for a lot of matchup and nidoking can also pressure all the deffogger and can also destroy poison type that usually switch in for remove toxic spikes. I have chosen flamethrover over ice beam because the dragon and ground that wants to hit are all faster than it, instead flamthrower is good for pokemon that usually switch in on nido, like corvi that can wall nido without flamethrower. The EVs are very particular in the speed, because with 160 speed and a timid nature it reach 270, so it will always outspeed heatran and wins tie with 85 base speed mon with 252 in speed and a non + nature on speed. Thanks to its typing is also the volt switch immunity and the 96 EVs in def helps him to resist at u-turn, so it can be good verusus voltturn core.

UrshCafù
Item: Black Glasses | Ability: Unseen fists
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Spd/252 Spe | Jolly Nature
Wicked Blow/Sucker Punch/Close Combat/Bulk Up
The strongest physical mon in the tier with fantastic offensive attributes. The stats aren't so high, but let's start with all its quality. First, the typing Dark/Fighting is so good, only resisted by fairy, so this force a lot of switch-in, and create momentum, Its ability is also good, a bit situational, but perfect fot the role because it can bypass all the protective moves like protect, baneful banker and king's shield and can bypass their effect (poison for baneful banker, -1 in atk for king's shield) so opposing pokemon cannot scout yout moves. It doesn't so much coverage, because the stabs are all it need. Wicked blow is just fantastic because it's basically a 120 dark move that ignore drop in its attacks and the opposing boost in defense, destroy a lot of mons. Black glasses make this move more powerful! Sucker punch at +1 does a lot of good damage and provide an answer for possible spectrier sweep with sucker. Bulk up is very good because when you make momentum you can boost your attack and make this moster even more powerful. Close Combat is the move that you'll choose less, but it's essential for destroy dark mons that can be a problem for the next mon, Spectrier. EVs and nature are the standard, but if you want more power you can choose adamant, but then thiss team we'll be very slow

SpectrAurier
Item: Choice Scarf | Ability: Grim Neigh
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe | Modest Nature
Shadow Ball/Hex/Mud Shot/Will-O-Wisp
Well personally I think this is the most overcentralizing mon in the tier actually, it forces a dark or a normal type in every team or an offensive answer like another spectrier or urshifu. My team lacks speed control so I decided to give a choice scarf. This mons is one of my favourite cleaner actually because grim neigh help to sweep opposing team with shadow ball or hex (use hex only if the opposing team is poisoned by tspikes, or paralyzed/burned by spectrier or zapdos). It doesn't have a real coverage, only ghost and dark moves, but all the target that are hitted supereffectively by dark pulse are also hitted supereffectively by ghost moves. Mud shot can be good for opposing heatran, but you aren't going to use it really. Will-O-Wisp is good to burn dark mons like mandibuzz, to hit them better with hex and to cripple opposing pokemon. Use this pokemon when there's no dark or normal mon in the game or they are chipped a lot because otherwise it can be stopped easily. If the opposing team hasn't a good answer you can use spectrier in the mid game, but this happen very rarely. EVs and nature are standard, this mon just need to hit hard.

Zap Dos Santos
Item: Heavy duty Boots | Ability: Static
EVs: 248 Hp / 28 Def / 232 Spe | Timid Nature
Hurricane/Volt Switch/Defog/Roost
One of the best counter to rillaboom, rain, shifu and others. Its weakness to steath rock is covered by the heavy duty boots, and personally I love static because is an ability that is very good in a meta with too much physical attackers. It's a very good role compression because it can be the role that I said before but also create momentum with volt switch and also hazard control, with defog. The EVs are the best part of this set imo, because with 232 speed and a timid nature it will outspeed urshifu, unless it's scarf, so it can be surprising for opposing urshifu that (I don't know why personally) stay in, and are going to be hitted by a strong hurricane. In the most matches it will be the lead because it has a pretty good matchup versus the opposing lead. An important thing that with hurricane it hits hard ground type, and with confusion it can be a pain for inpreparated teams. Do not sack it if you are versus rain, because it's one of the best answet that this team have.

Papu Fini
Item: Leftovers | Misty Terrain
EVs: 60 Hp / 252 Def / 196 Spe | Bold Nature
Moonblast/Surf/Nature' s Madness/Taunt
One of the pokemon most underrated, it fits so well in offense team. Misty Terrain is just fantastic and protect my pokemon from status, but this doesn't protect to tspikes and to status flying pokemon, so you can burn my zapdos with will-o-wisp, but zapdos cannot para grounded mons. Use this mon very carefully because it doesn't have a form of recovery, only leftovers. Nature's Madness helps a lot to break pokemon without recovery or with inaffidable recovery, and with taunt they can't recover. Thanks this move you can cripple a lot of mons. I've chosen surf insted of scald because with the misty terrain you'll rarely burn someone, insted with surf you have more firepower. The EVs are to reach 280 in speed, to outspeed base 80 mons with 252 in speed and with a neutral nature, the rest of the EVs are to maximize the defense and to resist shifu better. This can be good in mid/early game because you can cripple opposing mons and check physical attackers.

Joshua King-Galar
Item: Assault Vest | Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 176 SpA / 80 SpD | Calm Nature
Future Sight/Sludge Bomb/Flamethrower/Surf (Psyshock)
This is the mon that suffers more the 4MSS because it wants a lot of moves but we have only 4 for pokemon(gamefreak make some broken mechanics with 5 moves mons please) so the moveset is quite flexible. Initially I added slowking-galar because I needed a pheromosa check, but then I discovered the qualities of this galarian form: first thing, it's one of the best special sponge in the tier, and with AV it maximize its bulk; with regenerator helps the stall matchup, because it recover 33% of the health every time it switches; future sight helps urshifu to break bulky pokemon like buzzwole or toxapex. The coverage helps to break a lot of mons, sludge bomb is the main stab, and with flamethrower does big damage at bulky steel types like ferrothorn, and the fourth slot is the most difficult to chose: scald is pretty useless, because the only mon that you want to hit with scald is heatran, and it cannot be burned, surf does more damage then scald, psyshock can help to break blissey, can is one of the most problematic mons for this team, but I haven't tested this yet so I don't know if it works. For the EVs are standard and helps slowking-galar to do slowking-galar better.
Do you think that this RMT was finished, well no because I want to do big shoutouts to a lot of user:
