A fun UU Stall Team.

Being bored at my Grandma's house and thinking about Spiritomb being such a cool wall, and how Sableye could be like a UU one, I came up with this odd idea. It plays defensively, I believe, but since I can't test it, I don't know. Also can't really look at natures, so if I can't remember, might just say what it does.

Persian @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
Nature: Jolly(- Sp. ATK, + Speed)
EVs: 252 Speed, 128 ATK, 128 HP
Fake Out
Hypnosis
U-Turn
Bite

Fun lead. Fake Out + Technician = God yes. Hypnosis means fastest sleep in UU and a good sleeper, not to mention great to work with Fake Out. U-Turn when it's time to leave, Bite for ghosts. Is it possible to outspeed things w/o max speed, though?

Pikachu @ Light Ball
Ability: Static
Nature: + ATK - Sp. DEF
EVs: 252 Speed, 200 ATK, 52 Sp. ATK
Volt Tackle
Hidden Power Grass
Brick Break
Encore

Works like a CBer or CSer. Volt Tackle for major damage, HP Grass for coverage, Brick Break for coverage. Encore for stat-uppers.

Miltank @ Leftovers
Ability: Scrappy
Nature: +Sp. DEF - Sp. ATK
EVs: 252 HP, 128 Sp. DEF, 64 ATK, 64 DEF
Heal Bell
Curse
Milk Drink
Body Slam

Heal Beller, a nice touch to pick through. Milk Drink for massive walling ability, Curse to help average ATK and excellent DEF. Body Slam is all that's needed after Scrappy.

Sableye @ Leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
Nature: Bold(- ATK + DEF)
EVs: 252 HP, 152 Sp. DEF, 106 Sp. DEF
Recover
Knock Off
Dark Pulse
Taunt

Kind of like some UU Spiritomb, except without Spiritomb's moveset. Recover is a fun recovery move, Knock Off to hit Items off and generally own. Dark Pulse gets STAB. Taunt is...well....Taunt.

Shedinja @ Focus Sash
Abilility: Wonder Guard
Nature: Jolly(-Sp. ATK, + Speed)
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 ATK, 4 HP
Swords Dance
Baton Pass
X-Scissors
Agility

Passes Agilities if it knows a faster switch-in is coming and on first outing, Swords Dance if it can. X-Scissors for STAB and an attack. Jolly to outspeed more counters.

Claydol @ Leftovers
Abilitity: Levitate
Nature: Bold(+DEF - ATK)
EVs: 252 HP, 202 Sp. DEF, 56 Sp. DEF
Reflect
Rapid Spin
Light Screen
Earth Power

Hyper defensive Claydol. Can set up both screens for the team, Rapid Spins everything away. STAB Earth Power is nice.

Being bored at my Grandma's house and thinking about Spiritomb being such a cool wall, and how Sableye could be like a UU one, I came up with this odd idea.

Sadly, it can't ... well having recently retested Sableye, I was perhaps a little harsh on it, it can wall, to an extent, but it cannot do it as easily as Spiritomb.

The gap between Sableye and the top end of the tier is just too big for it to function as any sort of long term wall.

Spiritomb's base defences 50/108/108 + its Pressure ability actually allow it to stall ...

Sableye's base defences 50/75/65 just aren't good enough to stall in the same way.

I won't rate the remainder of your team at present, because it seems to be built around Sableye, however if you are determined to use it, can I suggest that

1) You make it a dedicated wall - either physical or special - rather than attempting to cover both ends of the spectrum, maxing out whichever defence you decide to specialise in. Physical seems to be the better option.

2) Reconsider Dark Pulse as your main form of direct damage. Coming off a base 65 SpA with no EV investment, its not going to being damaging a lot. Night Shade or Seismic Toss really are your best option for non-passive damage.

3) Think about Taunt. With Sableye's less than stellar base 50 speed its not going to stop too many opponents inflicting it with status or getting one stat boost in.

4) If you're going for a physical "wall" Will-O-Wisp would be useful, as it would actually give Sableye a reasonable chance of walling a physical attacker.

Something to keep in mind...

Shedinja @ Focus Sash
Abilility: Wonder Guard

Swords Dance, Agility, and Baton Pass together is an illegal combination on Shedinja... it can only have one of them.

Yes, it can work on Shoddy, but people will not be amused when facing it, for good reason.

Daaaaaw. It is illegal?

That explains why I never saw it before...

My main complaint is the leftovers on the Persian. Give it a life orb or a silk scarf. The point of Perisan is that he doesn't show his face for long so it should not need a leftovers. Props for using it though, Persian is a long time favorite of mine.
