A good ol' rain team!

Meet the rain team!
Alright so this a well, pretty in depth guide on my newly formed rain team!

I'm sorry in advance for not having any pictures, sorry.

The team currently Consists off Politoed of course, every rain team pretty much has to have him! Rotom-w which i'm thinking of switching for a jolteon, Ferrothorn as the defensive wall and Tentacruel as his partner in crime as a special defensive wall and rapid spinner. Then there is the main attackers in Toxicroak and Tornadus, but i'l get more in depth to all these pokemons in just a second :)

So right off the bat is Politoed!
Politoed - The lead pokemon, Rain inducer.
W/ Leftovers
Ability: Drizzle
Nature: Calm
Attribute: Water
Ev's 252 Hp / 252 SpDef / 4 SpAtk
Moveset;
- Scald
- Protect
- Toxic
- Ice Beam / Perish Song (Not to sure here)
Description: Politoed is the heart and soul of many rain teams, especially mine. Politoed acts as a second specially defensive wall and i love the combo with Leftovers, Protect and Toxic. Not to sure between perish song and ice beam, as perish song really can stop teams setting up on me.

Next inline is Rotom-w
Rotom -w - The special attacker
W/ Leftovers or Choice specs/scarf
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Modest
Attribute: Electric and Water
Ev's = 252 SpAtk / 252 Speed / 4 Hp
Moveset;
- Thunder
- Hydro pump
- Volt switch (Maybe will-o-wisp)
- Hidden power ice/fire/ghost (I'll be running trick if i have Choice Specs/Scarf on)
Description: Rotom-w is one of my special attackers, but i cannot decide if i want to replace him with jolteon, pelase help here. Rotom-w has a good amount of bulk which is why i sort of like him and why he has a place in the team at this point of time :) Rotom-w can do damage and maintain switch control with volt switch, and may screw the opponents walls up with trick giving it Choice scarf if the pokemon is for say a ferrothorn!

Definitely earning a place in the team, Ferrothorn! the Defensive wall.
Ferrothorn - The defensive wall, also lays my hazards.
W/ Leftovers (I've been wanting to try rocky helmet but just never got around to doing it really.)
Ability: Iron barbs
Nature: Relaxed
Attribute: Grass and Steel
Ev's = 252 Hp / 252 Def / 4 SpDef (Also thinking about evening out the Ev's between Spdef and Def)
Moveset;
- Stealth rocks
- Leech seed
- Gyro ball
- Power whip
Description: Like i said, hes a great wall in pretty much any team and i personally think he fits in well. He lays my hazards he pack a punch and take a pretty big punch too! If someone on my team needs to take a hit, normally it's going to be ferrothorn cause i pretty much know he will come out on top :)

It's ferrothorn's partner in crime the other wall, the Special defensive wall, tentacruel.
Tentacrul - The special defense wall, also my rapid spinner
W/ Black sludge
Ability: Rain dish
Nature: Calm
Attribute: Poison and Water
Ev's = 252 HP / 236 Def / 20 Spe OR 236 SpDef instead of Def
Moveset;
- Rapid spin
- Toxic spikes
- Scald
- Protect
Description: Tentacruel like i said is the special defensive wall to my team, not just my wall but my rapid spinner. I have toxic spikes over toxic, so i don't have to poison individual targets, and again the Protect, Toxic/Toxic spikes, Black sludge and rain dish stall. Great stall pokemon and wall.

Getting to the business end of the team is the Physical attacker/sweeper
Toxicroak - Physical attacker/sweeper
W/ Black sludge - life orb, can't really decide.
Ability: Dry Skin
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
Attribute: Poison and Fighting
Ev's = 252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 Hp
Moveset;
- Swords dance
- Ice punch
- Drain punch
- Sucker punch
Description: There isn't to much to say about this toxicroak, he just gets out there when the time is right and sets up that swords dance and goes ham. I'm also indecisive between his item, Black sludge and life orb.

The very last pokemon of the team, Tornadus.
Tornadus - Special attacker/sweeper
W/ Life orb, Choice specs/scarf
Ability: Defiant
Nature: Timid
Attribute: Flying
Ev's = 252 Speed / 252 SpAtk / 4 Hp
Moveset;
- Superpower
- Rain dance / Hidden power ice/ghost/fire
- Hurricane
- Taunt / Grass knot / U-turn
Description: I don't know if he really fits in the team.. but in saying that i feel he can also be very viable and useful in certain spots in a game, the last move in his moveset will be either Taunt to stop them setting up, and U-turn to maintain switch control with some damage.

Overall i sort of like the team but there are pokemon i would like to have in my rain team, i'll give a breif description of them. Let me know if i should add these, and if i should what should i add them for :) and i'm really only going to have one Choice item pokemon at the end of the day too.

Dragonite, would probably replace tornadus as he is a Special attacker/sweeper
W/ Lum berry - Dragon gem - Haban Berry - Choice specs/scarf
Ability: Multiscale
Nature: Modest
Attribute: Dragon and Flying
Ev's = 252 SpAtk / 252 Speed / 4 hp
Moveset;
- Outrage / Draco meteor
- Hurricane
- Thunder
- Roost
Description: i'm thinking of adding dragon dance but i don't know what for, and i personally think he's a better option then tornadus.

There is also ludicolo with swift swim that i like special attacker and another special attacker in keldeo, but i just like these pokes :)

so, that is the end of my rain team, i would love to hear all of you thoughts don't be shy, and i also believe my team needs a lot of improvements, if you would like please leave feedback and advice on what should be replaced and replaced for what! Thank you :)
Anything and everything is much appreciated :)

Hello, cool tea, you got here!

Now first off I would definitely suggest changing up Toxic Spikes on Tentacruel to Toxic. Toxic Spikes is just now worth using anymore due the the metagames resistance to the hazard. The use of Toxic Spikes is completely outdated and does not specifically benefit you in any way. Toxic is far more superior and is definitely worth using. Toxic allows you to poison Salamence, Lati twins, Dragonite, and many other Pokemon that are immune to Toxic Spikes, which are far more important to spin away. Even bette Toxic cannot be instantly absorbed or spun away. For the most part Toxic is a far better move to use m the metagame at the moment. And it will definitely help patch some weaknesses very quickly. I would also definitely advise going with Bold on Tentacruel due to its weakness to physical attacks more than special. This way you can handle stuff like physical Close Combat and Secret Swords much better. This will also help you survive stray Earthquakes and such which otherwise would be extremely detrimental to Tentacruel's ability to survive. Another adjustment you should make is changing up Ferrothorn's spread to one of 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SDef Relaxed to give it more overall defensive prowness. Kyurem-B is very dangerous to your team, and so are stray Outrages which can overcome Ferrothorn if it is consistently weakened. It is very important to be able to take hits on both sides of the spectrum, and it is not hard to see that even though it may be very strong defensively it can be cracked with little effort if consistently hammered. You should also consider running a 0 Speed IV because of Gyro Ball, making sure it hits as hard as possible. Ferrothorn doesn't need to be fast, and it is best if it is actually slower than most threats. It can avoid Rapid Spins by Forretress and beat out Trick Room users like Reuniclus.

Now for other slight changes, it definitely advise changing Tornadus - I up a bit. Tornadus obviously is a great Poke to use, but I feel that although it is a very good Pokemon to use, it just doesn't fit the team that well. I definitely feel Dragonite could do the role much better due to it's bulk and overall valuable resistances. However I would suggest a different setup than you are currently using. Instead of the more all out offensive setup you use, I would definitely suggest running a more bulky spread and moveset. Toxicroak is rather in need of support against stuff like Hippowdown and Gyrados. A Life Orb mixed attacker variant will definitely help your overall offensive front out greatly.

Dragonite @ Life Orb
76 Atk / 252 SPAtk / 180 Spe
Mild Nature
- Hurricane
- Aqua Tail
- Thunder
- Roost

Good luck!

Thanks for your reply it helps a lot getting feedback, and i will change the tornadus to dragonite. But should i change the rotom for the jolteon?
