Let's Play! A journey through the insanity that is Pokemon Snakewood (Completed)

Jerry the great

Banned deucer.
Hello, I'm here for part 27. Let's go.

Edit: Hello, I'm just adding this to let you guys know that I'm going to try to make these parts a longer. This LP is kind of starting to drag on in my opinion, so I'd like to finish this sooner rather than later. It will also make these parts more interesting when more than one important thing happens per part.

CoolMan6001: Uhhhhh. . . . let me get back to you on that one lol

Yung Dramps: There really aren't any hints. I'm pretty sure if you went back to Usher, he just says the same thing. Also, if you think this is bad, wait until some of the post-game areas. Those are REALLY dumb.

Jerry the great: Yeah, I was thinking about it and the only way that I could think of that someone could soft-lock themselves is if they did something similar to Pikasprey's Electrode video. There is a decent chance that they knew about a potential soft-lock as well.

In the last part, I explored the S.S. Cangrejo, and dealt with it's dumb puzzles. In this part, I'll explore route 119, and visit the Prison. Before that I would just like to mention that while I was making this part, I almost lost a whole bunch of progress on my save file. I was moving files around and almost fu**ed everything. It's all good though. I only lost maybe 20 minutes.

Now we've got a new kind of zombie. Battlezombies. I don't remember if they explain why these guys are different, but if I had to guess it's because these ones "belong" to the big bad of the east.

The battlezombie wasn't too difficult to beat. It did have a new zombie Pokémon however.

I can't lie, I like the idea of the zombies being physically strong. In the normal games, when you beat the big bad guy of that game, they're all like, "Oh no you beat me in a Pokémon battle! I totally can't do anything!" I think that's kind of dumb. I mean, some of them could probably just punch the main character in the face and knock them unconscious. In this, the main character doesn't mess around with the zombies. Also I had to retake these next few images, so there's inconsistency with Reaves's HP stat, sorry about that.

View attachment 230645

And here we meet Larry. He sells Hyper Potions, so I pick some of those up. (In my main save). At least I can get some of these now, because I know in a rom hack like Dark Rising, by the time you get Hyper Potions you're Pokémon are like, level 60 or 70 lol.

Before entering the Weather Institute, which is now a prison, I'm stopped by this battlezombie. And I've gotta say, outside of the fact that is has no eyes, Miasmar is REALLY dope looking. What's unfortunate is that only two zombie Pokémon are found in the wild. But that's a rant for later. oh also I got flash but no one cares.

Before heading into the vault, I head south to see how far I can go before the game roadblocks me.

Now the next zombie has this thing. And I've got to say this: THESE THINGS CAN GO BURN IN THE DEEPEST PITS OF HELL. I ABSOULTUELY DESPISE THESE THINGS. You wanna know why? Because this thing has stupid dumb stats. Take Snorlax's stats, and add 20 to every one. Now you've got this things stats. Don't know Snorlax's stats? That's okay I'll tell you this things stats: 180/130/85/85/130/50. Yeah, that's not overpowered at all. Not one bit. Nope. Not at all. Why this zombie Pokémon has changed stats when pretty much every other zombie Pokémon has the same stats is beyond me. It's stupid. It's almost as stupid as pouring soda into a bowl. I totally didn't almost do that. It hits like a truck, and can tank tons of hits, even on the physical side. In my previous playthrough I always ended up fighting these things with Hyperegg, and every time it would end up being a PP stall until it eventually fainted.

He wasn't that hard to beat. Alicia War was much more difficult. I'm just going to spoil it, Alicia is probably the last "Hard" battle for a little while. Honestly that's a good thing. The first half of this game had too many super difficult battles that just came out of left field. But don't worry, the level curve will catch up really quick.

Wow. Certainly a great change of pace after the last 2 chapters. No joke, that was one of the best ones yet. Well besides that Snorlax, but hey at least you're over leveled, there was only one, and it's still rather slow so you can make a bunch of damage add up without much issues. So I feel like for me it's manageable to fight just one. I mean, would you rather have fought a whole team of them? ... Anyways. Getting to see Gleis again (and without a text wall thank god) was also pretty good, and I suppose he knew it was a bit late to convince you otherwise so that's why he didn't try lying to you. Also, I suppose the reason why most characters in the main games are like "Oh no I lost a battle I surrender!" is because when all their Pokemon are down, there's nothing to stop the player from just getting their Aerodactyl to tear them apart, Banette cursing them, ect. Although I say most, because Archie and Maxie still released their respective legendary into the world despite losing, and Lysandre unleashed the ultimate weapon despite losing.

Hello, I'm here for part 28. Today's part will be a little longer than usual. Let's go.

Edit: Updated the to do list to be accurate

Jerry the great: Yeah, Gorelax is really dumb. I have NO idea why Gorelax gets a stat upgrade when every other zombie Pokémon stays exactly the same. Also I guess guns don't exist in the Pokémon world. (I know it's a kids game shh)

Yung Dramps & CoolMan6001: Most of the music is just from Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. Although I believe that one of the caves in this game has music from Johto, but according to a video by the previously mentioned Pikasprey, there's apparently remixed Johto music in the files of the Hoenn games, so that really isn't unique.

This guy here has a new fakemon. Psypig is a Fire/Psychic type Pokémon with the following stats: 75/65/100/120/60/80 and Flash Fire and Hustle as it's abilities. And I know some of you are wondering, no it's not an evolution of Grumpig. It just looks REALLY similar to a Grumpig. It's pretty decent. It's not an amazing Fakemon, but it can do some decent damage. Sp. Defense and Speed are a letdown though.

SnakewoodLP244.png

SnakewoodLP245.png

SnakewoodLP246.png

SnakewoodLP247.png

And immediately after the Psypig is another Fakemon. And this one has Wonder Guard! OH BOY! Fortunately, this isn't another Kingmadio, beacause this thing is a Poison/Psychic type with the following stats: 1//97/74/107/74/99. It's not that bad to deal with, but if you don't know it's typing, it can cause some issues. You can't find it in the wild though, and it also isn't related to Mysteryegg or it's evolutions. The creator just thought it would be a good idea to have another Fakemon that's just an egg.

SnakewoodLP251.png

On route 118, I encounter this guy. He seems important, so let's hear him out.

Well that was kind of random. He did have some new zombie Pokémon, and I've gotta say, Yuck is terrifying.

Also, out of curiosity, I remembered that Snorlax's zombie form had it's stats increased, so I checked out Yuck, and Yuck actually has different stats, it's Attack and Defense are 10 points higher than a normal Muk. It's base stat total is 100/115/75/65/100/50. Out of curiousity, I checked, and the only other zombie Pokémon other that Snorlax and Muk to get changed stats were: Mariil and Azumarill. Azumarill got 20 points in every stat except Sp. Attack, which only got 10 for some reason. So it's base stat total is 120/70/100/60/100/70. Marill's new stats are: 80/35/65/35/60/50. I would guess that these three got their stats buffed because spoiler alert, they're the only zombie Pokémon you can catch in this game. Every other zombie Pokémon are only used by trainers. This doesn't explain why Snorlax got a ridiculous buff however. Strangely enough, regular Snorlax is in this game, the chefs on Route 117 had one. Regular Snorlax has the same stats it does in the original. But for some reason, the zombie version has 20 extra to every stat. This game is weird. Side tangent over.

If you guys remember all the way back to part 2 or 3, a guy in the Rustboro Pokémon Center gave me that Much Mask. It took this long to find a person to trade it to. If you also remember back to an earlier part, before part 10 if I rememeber, there was a guy in the catchy sayings area that said he was thirsty. He's the guy I give the cologne to. I'm pretty sure. I don't know why he would want to drink cologne, but . . .

SnakewoodLP302.png

That makes 6? I believe. Only 4 more.

SnakewoodLP303.png

Since we're on a nostalgia trip, if you remember back to the first time I came to route 118, I said I would have more to say about this rock formation. I will now say those words. RANT WARNING

So if you remember, the only reason I got past these rocks in the first place was because I jumped onto the S.S Cangrejo, which was conveniently right where I jumped. As far as I know, there is NO way to get past these rocks, which means, at the present moment, west Hoenn is completely blocked off until I get Fly. I didn't get fly on route 119, meaning that it is given to me at a different time. Spoiler alert, it doesn't come until MUCH later. An entire section of the game that I've ALREADY BEEN TO is completely inaccessible. Unless there is some other way to get back to west Hoenn, that half of the game is blocked off. I could understand blocking east Hoenn off, but not letting the player go back to areas they've already been to seems retarded to me. This is one of the three things in this game that p*ss me off. The first was the Horsemen being removed halfway throiugh the game. This is second. There is a third thing, but I'll get to that when we get to that point.

Rant over.

And here we have a bunch of Fakemon Denjuu. Disclaimer, I've never seen anything related to Denjuu. I'm not sure if they have types or stats or anything like that, but they do have them in this hack. Kuripito is a Grass type Pokémon Denjuu with the following stats: 75/100/87/50/50/70, and Bulletproof. It's kind of strong, but it's Stab coming off such a weak Sp. Attack really hurts it. Ooshe is a Rock type Denjuu with the following stats: 80/80/95/60/60/40 and Rock Head. It can do some damage, but is slow and like other Rock types, can easily be dispatched with a quick Surf. Roodanse is a Flying type Denjuu with the following stats: 55/100/50/45/45/175 and Speed Boost/Clear Body. This thing is a lot better than the other two, it's really fast and can dish out some damage. The only problem is the only Flying type move it learns is Fly, which it learns so early that the trainers don't have it on their movesets. I say that because I don't believe you can catch these. Not really the end of the world because honestly, they suck. Their stats aren't great, and their movepools aren't incredible either. They would be cool to use though.

This lady has a new Denjuu. Fangasu is a Grass type Denjuu with the following stats: 110/80/60/35/35/105 and Speed Boost. This thing isn't terrible, but it would be much better as a Normal type, given it's much higher attack, and the fact that at level 47(ish) it gets Extremespeed.

Ok, so I just did a little bit of research, and these things are from a game series called "Keitai Denjū Telefang". In these games, Denjuu do have types, but there are a lot less, and they appear to be based off of where the critter is found? There's Grassland, Forest, Desert, Moutain, Sky and Aquatic. Fangasu is Grassland, thus meaning it's grass type in this game. Pretty neat. Shame they're kind of sucky in this game. It would be cool if there was a rom hack where someone took these Denjuu and replaced the normal Pokémon line-up with them.

And here we have the final two Denjuu in this hack. Goosuboa is a Ghost Dark type Denjuu with the following stats: 76/90/86/55/55/100 and Levitate. It's alright, it can do decent damage and is decently fast, but can't use it's Dark typing because of an awful Sp. Attack. Also, interesting that the creator made this thing Ghost/Dark, because this thing is Grassland type in Telefang. (Yet he still added two grass type Denjuu) According to the wiki it's a ghost boar? The other Denjuu, Nigera (Spelled almost exactly like Nigeria, or Niegra lol) is Water type with the following stats: 60/88/150/50/150/71 and Intimidate. Now this thing is pretty damn good. It's Hp sucks, but anyone whose played gen 7 OU or is familiar with the metagame will know that Toxapex, a Pokémon with a similar type and stats, is really annoying to fight. This thing is pretty similar. Also, Wraith really is a jerk, lol.

Yung Dramps

awesome gaming
Huh, a Keitai Denju Telefang reference. Would be pretty cute if they didn't try to make it a serious plot device and the primary way of introducing yet another new villain. Seriously, this plot is a directionless mess that feels more like a conglomerate of smaller stories than one focused, satisfying narrative. How long is this game? Because with all the twists and turns it feels way, way longer than it probably actually is.

Jerry the great

Banned deucer.
OK, this part was just downright odd. The whole reference thing... To a game that even I didn't know about? Come on! I can easily manage stuff like zombie outbreaks, demons flying around, powerful psychics trapped in eggs, fisherman scamming you into getting a "cursed" rod (they should've made it a variant of the ultra rod though considering he said brutally strong Pokemon come after you, and it wouldn't be unfair because you should be in the 40s by then), death being part of the 4 horsemen, and a whole lot of other stuff. Besides, they're all either comedic or interesting in some way, shape, or form. But this really makes no sense. Making games that aren't even all that well known a crucial part to the story, NPCs that are odd even for this game's standards (like the "Scottish" perverted fool), and lot's of other stuff... Isn't amusing, cool, or anything. It's just odd and weird... You weren't kidding when you called this game "the insanity" in the title. It's completely bonkers and no part can show that better than this one.

Fun fact: Keitai Denjū Telefang actually got an English release... an unofficial one. Like Pokémon, the first Telefang game was released on the Game Boy Color in two versions: a Power version and a Speed Version. Some bootleggers poorly translated each game and rereleased them in the west as Pokémon Diamond (no relation to the real Pokémon Diamond that was released in 2006) and Pokémon Jade. I'm guessing this is what prompted the creator of this hack to include the Denjuu in a Pokémon game.

I played part of the bootleg Diamond by the way. Wasn't my cup of tea.

The GBA sequel also got pirated by the way, but I haven't played that one.

CTNC

Doesn't know how to attack
Glad you posted on April Fools Day. I'd say this part feels like an April Fools joke, but this entire hack already feels like an April Fools joke... Meh, might as well say it. This part's dumber than usual... This part feels like an April Fools joke.

Hello, I'm here for part 30. Let's go.

Yung Dramps: Yeah, it's pretty cool. Agree on the villain part, kind of dumb that there is another new villain. There's so many characters in this game. I kind of miss early game when there were not many characters. Also, this game is pretty long. I blame part of it on how long it's taken me to upload these.

Jerry the great: Yeah, that part was really goofy. What makes it worse, is I had no idea what the types of any of them were. I think the creator just did whatever they wanted, and just made stuff up as he(?) went along. Also, I guess the title ended up being good, I just put one of the first things that came to mind.

Mega-Pokebattlerz: Yeah, they probably named them Pokémon to trick people who don't know any better. It's a tactic many bootleggers do. Really kind of scummy if you ask me. But you know, money. People love money.

CTNC: I assure you, it wasn't an April Fool's joke, I'm not smart or clever enough for that lol.

I feel like this is a good time to mention that trainers are REALLY annoying to fight at this point in the game. They all have like, 2 or 3 Full Restores. And they love to spam them. It makes it really unfun to fight regular trainers. Zombies also have Zombie Liver, but that's just a renamed Fresh Water.

SnakewoodLP297.png

The wild Pokémon here are pretty high leveled around here. That's something I can give this game at the moment. The wild Pokémon aren't too far behind regular trainers.

Um, they're Witches, not Zombies, they're two completely different things. I'm HIGHLY offended.

SnakewoodLP102.png

I imagine. I currently don't have Secret Power. What's weird is I do believe you get Secret Power later in the game. I don't remember where. I'm pretty sure it's somewhere stupid. Just like Titan Holefish. Stupid.

SnakewoodLP103.png

SnakewoodLP104.png

Yeah, Big D sells some animals. You can give them to a person somewhere in this reeg, and you can get Pokémon from it.

SnakewoodLP105.png

Bro that's so real right now. People are wildin with that Toilet Paper. And soap. And Hand sanitizer. The last two at least make sense. You don't need twenty rolls of toilet paper everytime you use the white oval chair.

The random references are getting annoying. I thought I would try to show how sometimes saying random stuff can be funny, but saying random stuff all the time can get annoying. This game would be better as either a super serious game, or just wacky the whole time.

But that will do it for this part. In the next part, I'll see what's up in the University, and things will be back to normal. Well, normal in the sense of my text, not so much so the game being normal. Have a nice day.

Hello, I'm here for part 31.

SnakewoodLP100.png

In the last part, I made my way to Foretree City. Today's part will be the conclusion to Foretree City.

SnakewoodLP207.png

Here we are in the university. I'm not sure if that tiling is new, or if it was in the original. It looks familiar.

SnakewoodLP208.png
SnakewoodLP209.png

I find one of these, but it's completely useless because I already have a similar item, God's Tear. I'm not sure what's going on with the spacing. Just normal Snakewood goofyness.

I apologize for the word to being on the side, I don't know why that happens. But let's go see what's up with this camera thing.

SnakewoodLP35.png
SnakewoodLP36.png
SnakewoodLP37.png
SnakewoodLP38.png
SnakewoodLP39.png

The camera is a fakemon you can capture. It's an Electric/Steel Type with the following stats: 110/120/100/110/60/80 and Levitate as its ability. It also has a custom move called "Data Stream" that is a 100 base power Electric move with 5 pp. It's supposed to have priority, but the creator didn't set it's priority above 0, so it has the same priority as every other move. Now this thing is really strong. It's got a good defensive type, high stats - minus Sp. Def. - and a great ability. It doesn't learn any moves by level up other that the four it starts with, but it can learn some good TMs. I would definitely recommend using it. I won't however.

It's a zombie Lugia! Yep, a gym leader has a legendary. It's just like Yung Dramps said. But are any of you really surprised? No? That's what I thought.

SnakewoodLP77.png
SnakewoodLP78.png

Her Lugia gives me a lot of trouble. It's moveset is: Psychic, Areoblast, Cosmic Power, and Earthquake. Only two of those moves are legal at this level. At least with the Claydol in the last part, it was only one move, and Claydol isn't a stupid strong Pokémon. I could easily see someone being swept by this thing. But whatever, it's over with.

SnakewoodLP81.png

SnakewoodLP95.png
SnakewoodLP96.png
SnakewoodLP97.png
SnakewoodLP98.png
SnakewoodLP99.png
SnakewoodLP100.png

For some reason, the creator thought it would be a good idea to give this guy a Ho-Oh. Another legendary, yay! At least it isn't level 60 or something.

SnakewoodLP101.png
SnakewoodLP102.png
SnakewoodLP103.png
SnakewoodLP104.png

Just like the Lugia, it also has a ridiculous moveset. I'm pretty sure it also has Sacred Fire, just like the Lugia had it's signature move.
SnakewoodLP105.png
SnakewoodLP106.png
SnakewoodLP107.png
SnakewoodLP108.png

It eventually goes down, and once it does, the rest of his team doesn't stand a chance against reeves.

Sheesh, I feel sorry for the gym leaders in this game.

Roxanne - Dead
Norman - Dead
Brawly -OK this is an exception since he just left the region to go train with Bruno.
Wattson - turned into a killer
Now Winona, who YOU pretty much murder! But before that though, she was turned into a zombie!

Yung Dramps

awesome gaming
I'd make a joke about a future major trainer having a mascot legendary, but honestly it'll probably actually happen.
Thank you 6 months younger me, very cool!

Y'know, the whole Winona mini-arc is actually neat because for once the game remembered that it started out as a zombie-oriented thing and did something kinda interesting with that premise.

About Emolga, I believe development of this hack was during the BW hype, and western players only had Japanese names. This is why Zoroark has such ridiculous name here.

Emolga is yes, エモンガ Emonga in JP, and they still called it Isshu region, which would be translated to be Unova, the only time a region name is completely changed in translation....

Hello, I'm here for part 32. Today's part is filled to the brim with random humor, and TONS of Fakemon. Let's go.

pileosand: Yeah, the people in the university feel more like normal NPCs than in other parts of this game. It almost feels like an actual game. Almost. I normally don't mind inanimate Pokémon, (I actually kind of like the ice cream cone) they usually at least look like Pokémon. The camera is just a camera. But that's just my opinion.

TMan87: I did not know that, thanks. I'm not surprised that it's a reference. Although, it may have made more sense if he never showed up in that case.

Jerrythegreat: I can actually enter the Petalburg gym, all you need is the Arclight Spanner that I got from the S.S. Cangrejo, so we'll see what happened to Norman. There's a reason I haven't done it yet.

Jerrythegreat & Mega-Pokebattlerz: If you remember, I still don't have Flannery's badge yet, so we may run into her later. . .

Yung Dramps: Was it really 6 months ago? Damn time flies by. That was a pretty good guess, especially since this game doesn't go as overboard with legendaries like Dark Rising. It is cool to see what actually happened to some of the gym leaders, considering most of them are gone, and it does seem like the game forgets about the zombies. That's something that also happens in the Walking Dead a couple times too doesn't it? Kind of weird that that happens. I guess that's different because they have to put on all of that make-up.

PscychicAcedemic: That would explain why there are a few Gen 5 Pokémon in the game. What's weird is that when talking about Gigawolf, the creator said that he would change it eventually. That never happened lol. I believe that the creator gave up on the game, so :blobshrug: . I wasn't around for the "hype" for gen 5. I just saw there were new games and said "Oh new Pokemon Games cool"

In the last part, I met Veracity inside the Hoenn University. I then made my way to the gym where I beat a zombified Winona, and a non-zombified Veractiy. In today's part, I'll make my way to Lilycove City.

Before leaving Foretree, this gal stops me to give me Veracity's badge. But his badge isn't the 6th one - the one that let's you use fly - it's the 7th. Thanks game. It would make more sense for Veracity to be the 6th Gym Leader, considering he replaces Winona as Leader. But what do I know.

SnakewoodLP145.png

Back in the Rainy Cave, there's a new area we can explore.

SnakewoodLP146.png

I head back and cut the tree by Mt. Pyre. I beat these trainers here, they aren't even that weak despite what they say.

SnakewoodLP208.png

If you remember a few parts back, I entered this cave and simply said "Nope" and left. There was a reason for that, well, two reasons. Number one, you can't progress to Lilycove - which is where this cave leads - if you haven't beaten Winona and Veracity. The second reason is because this cave CAN F*CK ITSELF.

SnakewoodLP02.png

This is the cave, or rather, one section of the cave. The other section looks exactly the same, except it's pitch black like the screenshot above it. Every exit and every ladder takes you to another cave that looks exactly the same, except it isn't. So unless you have a guide, or know you're way through this cave, you'll be here for a solid hour, potentially even longer. I hate this cave so much. What makes it more annoying . . .

SnakewoodLP210.png

. . . are these guys. Earthmadio is a Ghost/Ground type Pokémon with the following stats: 80/70/80/20/70/40 with Lightningrod and Rock head as it's abilities. It's nothing incredible, most of it's stats are just meh. What makes these guys annoying is that they all have Teleport, making them annoying to catch. Most of them suck, so it doesn't really matter.

SnakewoodLP214.png

I referred to them in a plural sense because there are multiple different "Madios". Aeromadio is a Ghost/Flying type Pokémon with the following stats: 40/95/25/4/60/220 with Early Bird and Keen Eye as it's abilities. It's alright. It's frail and not too strong, but it has great speed. It also learns Fly, which would mean something if I had the badge to use Fly, but nope. The creator isn't nice enough to give you Fly at a reasonable point in the game. What are you talking about, I'm not mad. Not at all.

SnakewoodLP225.png

Seamadio is a Ghost/Water type Pokémon with the following stats: 55/40/55/70/55/85 with Arena Trap and Run Away as it's abilites. It's ok. It's Speed and Sp. Attack are just ok, and it's Attack is too low to make use of it's Ghost type. It's also my least favorite solely because it has Arena Trap, and makes it annoying to find the other "Madios"

SnakewoodLP229.png

Treemadio is a Ghost/Grass type Pokémon with the following stats: 255/15/75/15/75/45 with Chlorophyll and Effect Spore as it's abilities. It's decent. It has the max HP you can have, combined with ok bulk when you consider it's HP. It also learns some decent support moves. If these things didn't come at licherally the lowest level possible, a couple of them could be pretty decent additions to the team. I guess if someone wanted to use one bad enough I guess they could train them up.

SnakewoodLP244.png

Normadio is a Ghost/Normal type Pokémon with the following stats: 200/60/65/40/65/100 with Clear Body and Hustle as it's abilities. It's pretty alright, it has high HP and ok bulk while also having a unique type. It's nothing crazy, none of these "Madio" are, but this one is one the better ones. (Also I apologize for overusing this format, it's just a good way to quickly explain a Fakemon in my opinion.)

SnakewoodLP240.png

Bonemadio is a Ghost/Disease type Pokémon with the following stats: 55/80/63/62/85/95 with Levitate and Speed Boost as it's abilities. It's one of the more interesting "Madio" because it's Disease type. It has two good abilities, but it's stats are just ok. Unfortunately it doesn't get any Disease type moves, so that typing means nothing basically. The same thing goes for the other disease type Pokémon in this game.

SnakewoodLP248.png

Gluemadio is a Ghost/Poison type Pokémon with the following stats: 70/100/60/30/65/30 with Liquid Ooze and Air Lock as it's abilities. It's disappointing. It's the first "Madio" to have a stats that isn't HP or Speed that is at or above 100, but it's bulk and speed let it down.

And now time for a compilation of Pokedex entries and nicknames.

SnakewoodLP222.png

Near the beginning of this cave is this nice lady, who not only heals your team, but acts as a way to tell where you are.

SnakewoodLP224.png

This is obviosly meant to hint about the "Madio" infestation.

SnakewoodLP233.png
SnakewoodLP234.png
SnakewoodLP235.png
SnakewoodLP236.png

And now I'm in the Inquisition base? WHAT IS HAPPENING? I AM CONFUSION. I do get a Master Ball clone however. And stand on top of a glitched rock, nice.

SnakewoodLP252.png
SnakewoodLP253.png

And here we are back on Route 120, over here by this bird.

SnakewoodLP254.png

LOOK AT THAT. OH MY GOD. IT'S KIND OF ADORABLE.

SnakewoodLP255.png
SnakewoodLP256.png

Cinderco is a Fire type Pokémon with the following stats: 60/80/40/50/40/30 with Run Away and Flame Body as it's abilities. It's stats are weird. It's a Fire type, but it's Attack is quite a bit higher than it's Sp. Attack. It's also surprisingly slow for a bird. It's also only Fire type, not Fire/Flying. The Flying type would help considering it has Wing Attack.

SnakewoodLP257.png

SnakewoodLP275.png
SnakewoodLP276.png

Back in the cave I meet this guy. He's actually in the first room, just on a lower level. This area is a dead end however.

SnakewoodLP278.png

And here we have the last of the "Madios". There is another in the dex called Crazymadio, which is a Ghost/Fighting Type, but it was never implemented into the game, it doesn't even have a dedicated sprite. There's also Kingmadio, the Ghost/Dark type with Wonder Guard that Haruko the second gym leader had. Unfortunately you can't find that here. It's found on Mirage Island I believe. Burstmadio is a little different compared to the other "Madios". Instead of Telport, it has Explosion. It is also MUCH rarer than the others. But besides that, Burstmadio is a Ghost/Fire type Pokémon with the following stats: 30/50/30/67/48/60 with Magma Armor and Flash Fire as it's abilities. It's pretty bad , but there is something special about this one.

Unlike the others, this one can evolve using a Fire Stone. Which is funny considering it's holding one. Blastmadio is a Ghost/Fire type Pokémon with the following stats: 50/75/55/105/85/90 and the same abilities except Flash Fire becomes Drought. This thing is pretty dang good, especially compared to the others. Drought is a powerful ability, and it's Attack isn't too bad meaning you can use it's Ghost typing effectively. It also learns Solarbeam, which works really well with Drought. I don't plan on using it, but it's a pretty good option for a team. Just watch out if you have a Water type obviously.

Although I must say, these "Madio" are all pretty lame. Their designs are pretty lame, there stats range from bad to ok to great - but only if it's HP or Speed- and it just makes them inconsistent. Some of them have mediocre stats across the board, making them not worth running, or they have really lopsided stats, with one stat being much higher than every other stat. The only one with a decent stats spread that isn't lopsided is Blastmadio, and that one is the rarest. They also have Teleport or Explosion, making them hard to catch. If that wasn't bad enough, they come at level 1, meaning you have to put maximum effort into leveling them up. These guys were most likely added in as a joke, if I had to guess what they were doing in the game. They're jokes, just like Telson the recolored Qwilfish probably was.

Back on Route 119, I grab this Leaf Stone that I forgot about earlier. I can actually use this one a Pokémon. Which one? Well. . .

SnakewoodLP21.png

It's the bird I caught earlier in the part. What could it possibly evolve into? Maybe a Grass/Fire type? That would be cool. Let's see!

SnakewoodLP22.png

It's an orange. A F*CKING ORANGE. THE BIRD EVOLVED INTO AN ORANGE. ONLY IN SNAKEWOOD. ONLY IN THIS RIDICULOUS GAME. Radioorange is a Fire/Dark type Pokémon with the following stats: 97/75/90/150/40/35 with Intimidate and Pressure as it's abilities. It's pretty good. It can hit really hard with that 150 base Sp. Attack, but it's Speed and Sp. Defense are pitiful. Funnily enough, it's similar to the "Madios" considering it has lopsided stats. I also think it would be cooler if it was Fire/Grass instead of Fire/Dark. That's a type we've yet to see in the actual Pokémon games. Once again, I don't plan on using it, but it's cool nonetheless. I head back into the cave. Quick side tangent, a Grass/Fire type with Chlorophyll would probably be damn good on a Sun team.

SnakewoodLP33.png

Beofer doing so, I teach Mewtwo? Flash. Flash is actually changed in this game to being an attacking move, and Electric type. I think that's pretty good considering Flash was the worst HM in the originals.

I eventually make my way here, wherever this place is.

SnakewoodLP10.png

SnakewoodLP11.png

Poor guy, quite a few people have made there way into the Madio Cave (That's not the actual name, but that's what most people call it).

SnakewoodLP12.png

I guess this is Victory Road? Where else does this cave lead? *gasp* Maybe it will lead me to Littleroot? That would be cool.

And now I'm in the Isle of Calm. I'm not surprised. This is the Boss's Garden.

This is an area that I'll need to come back to later. I'll add it to the list. Also, bit of a fourth wall break there.

SnakewoodLP42.png

I've made it to the exit. I also get Ice Beam. Now get me the hell out of here, this place took me way to long to get through. Easily one of the worst areas in the game.

Cake? Oh no, that could only mean one thing.

you WHAT.

SnakewoodLP52.png

WHAT IN GOD'S NAME IS THAT ABOMONATION. WHAT DID YOU- WHY DID YOU- JUST WHY? DEAR GOD WHY? OH THE HUMANITY!

This abomination of a beast is a Disease type "Pokémon" with the following stats: 200/110/110/110/100/200 and Cute Charm as it's ability. It also has 4 moves: Ice Beam, Cross Chop, Tri Attack, and Earthquake. This thing is a beast, seriously, look at those stats. Sure, 100-110 isn't stupid high, but it has base 200 HP and Speed. Not to mention it's 4 moves are pretty strong. This thing is also probably a joke. Come to think of it, a bird that evolves into a sentient orange is ALSO probably a joke.

SnakewoodLP53.png

I eventually beat it. Even if it does have high stats, I have the number advantage, and those offenses and bulk aren't THAT crazy. It ain't no Ultra Necrozma, that's for sure. (Seriously what was Game Freak thinking when they made that fight lol)

SnakewoodLP54.png
SnakewoodLP55.png

You are a monster. You are by far the most vile thing I've encountered in all the lands.

SnakewoodLP57.png

That old man said people were waiting with cake. Some of you already knew who it was. Get ready, because the Deadly Seven are back(again). But that's for the next part. Before ending off, I have a few things left to show that I didn't earlier.

Firstly, I teach Steven Cut and see what's going on behind these trees.

That sounds like an abusive relationship, and you should exit said relationship. Thanks for the TM though, I probably won't use it. Parasect learns Giga Drain by level up.

SnakewoodLP196.png

And the last thing is that back by Foretree, I find Fire Blast. That would be useful if I had a Fire type. But it's still useful anyways.

That will do it for part 32. Part 33 may take a while to come out, it's a lot longer than most parts. As a matter of fact, it will most likely be the largest part in the entire LP. I'm dreading it. But the LP has to end eventually, so a super part is necessary. And it will probably give a lot of you something to do during these times when everybody has nothing but free time. I'm also going to potentially change the way I make these to prevent it from uploading while I'm making the part. Have a nice day.

The real monster here...the real abomination here...the real disease here.......is this fucking hack. There's so much,"Like why?" in it. This shit was made on drugs man. It had to be. Or by a childish, edgy committee (also probably on drugs).
I like to believe the real problem is in their odd storytelling.

They managed to avoid several potential unwinnable lockouts, telling me they ar least know what they're doing with the codes enough.

... except the gym toilet part.

Well, this part was... Interesting...
But in all honesty, how do these parts upload early on accident if you have to click post reply for these to come in the first place? I don't think these automatically upload. I'm more than certain in my own thread that I had to click post reply for my parts to come out.

I'm not entirely sure, but I don't make these in one sitting, I'll come back to work on a part a few hours/days later, and when I press the enter key, sometimes it will upload the part. I guess either the "editor" (not sure what this thing I'm typing in is actually called, I feel stupid) thinks that I'm highlighting the "Post reply" button? It could also be my computer. I'll definitely be writing the script for the next part in Google Docs; for those who didn't know, I work on parts in Smogon's editor. I thought it would be simpler to explain it here, instead of in the next part because I don't know if everybody reads the reply section. I'm also going to set a deadline, part 33 will be up by May 8th. Have a nice day.
