My geography teacher once told me that "the Mongols ruled the world."

I was curious. So I looked up "The Mongols" and saw this.

How do 5 guys take over the world? How is this possible? Are we really all this weak?

I'm still shaken by this discovery. Please help me out by sending other things you were lied to about.
