A Literal Random Team
by RedGalaxy
Introduction:
A couple of days ago, I decided I was tired of choosing pokemon for my own team. So, I found a site that can choose random pokemon to your own specifications. (i.e. whether you want legendaries, or nfe pokemon on your team, or how many pokemon to choose from, and such things.) The site gave me the following six pokemon, and I worked together the movesets. So... let's get to the team now that we've got this out of the way.
Azumarill (M) @ Choice Band Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Ice Punch
- Superpower
A pretty common set, if I'm not mistaken, but doesn't mean that it isn't a beast of pokemon. Choice Banded Aqua Jet handles some faster fire pokes that I've seen in the UU, including scarf'd magmortar. Choice Band Waterfall also works, for pokemon who I can't OHKO with Aqua Jet, but don't resist Water moves. Ice Punch for Donphan, Aerodactyl, a weakened shaymin, and others, and Superpower to take other pokemon that might try to wall me, otherwise.
Uxie @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Trick
- Thunder Wave
- U-turn
Uxie. I usually lead with Uxie, trick to enemies lead. (Machamp is a common lead, I've noticed, who 3hko with payback.) T-Wave to the pokemon I trick, to completely ruin them. SR, being the most used move in the game for a reason, is here to set up my only entry hazards. U-Turn, if I know I won't get a chance to set up my Rocks in the early game.
Gallade (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Steadfast
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Atk / 156 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Shadow Sneak
- Ice Punch/Thunder Punch/Leaf Blade
Gallade is a monster, all by itself. Bulk-up and Drain Punch keep it in the game for a long freaking time, no joke. Shadow Sneak for a priority that, while not STAB, can do a heafty amount to opposing pokemon after a couple of bulk-ups. Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, and Leaf Blade are completely interchangeable, depending on whatever I feel I'm having trouble with.
Aerodactyl (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Hone Claws
- Roost
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
My own personal Aerodactyl. Hone Claws and Roost let me set up a mighty powerful STAB Stone Edge. Pursuit is the only move that I'm not entirely sold on. It helps handle certain psychic pokemon, who can't out speed me, as well as pokemon who are just scared of me, and want to switch away. Focus Sash is here just to make sure that I can live to set up one Hone Claws, though I might switch it to Life Orb, depending.
Eelektross (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Ground]
I got to say, I don't get a lot of chance to use this guy. On the 2-3 times I've got to bring him in, he either died, or just Volt Switched right out. What he's suppose to do is survive a move, and throw around a Choice Specs T-Bolt or Flamethrower. Volt Switch lets me ease on different pokemon's set. Hidden Power Ground actually works well on Rhyperior, even if it doesn't OHKO him.
Rotom-C @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Leaf Storm
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Fire]
My Life Orb sweeper, and the only pokemon that wasn't of the six chosen. (Cherim was here instead, but I couldn't make a set that worked here.) T-Wave lets me make sure I'm faster then all the other pokemon that come in, including other Rotom, who are usually Rotom-H. Leaf Storm is the mighty STAB, and OHKO a few pokemon even after the S.Atk drop, (mainly Rhyperior) Volt Switch lets me go to another pokemon, to handle a current foe, and HP Fire other grass types and such things as that, though I might change it to ice, just in case.
