Invalid A new OM where you have randbats level balancing but you get to build a team of whichever mons you want. Probably should have to use a ranbats moveset

This was basically an idea I've had for a while that I think would be fun. I like how so many mons feel competitive with each other in randbats but sometimes I still want to be able to play with combinations of mons that don't come up very often. Would be cool to see who are truly the top tier Pokemon in randbats if you can pick and choose. (Volbeat)

Also I had another idea where we could have a mini PS tournament league where the different chat rooms play against each other. Since the different rooms have different regulars maybe the Ruins of Alph will fight the OU room to see if the OGs are just better at pokemon or if they're washed? Are randbats people able to beat PU people since we are so used to playing with their pokemon?

It could either be a bracket or it could be a system where certain rooms "challenge" other rooms and the winners get points or something. It could be one game where people from each room give input about what moves to make or it could be a team kind of thing where both rooms nominate x number of regulars to play against the other side 1v1s. I was thinking it could be either 1 game in each room's format with a tiebreak as something else or it could be whichever team challenges has to play the other team's format.

I don't think the Pokémon in randbats are necessarily anywhere near perfectly balanced per se, it's just that the randomness tends to balance things out on average. Being able to pick randbats sets would probably converge to a few ones that are clearly overpowered, which would need to be nerfed then. In other words, it wouldn't probably be quite as exciting in reality.

But sure, a metagame that seeks to make every Pokémon more or less viable would be interesting.
