A not so effective team

Hi smogon!
After messing around with this team for a while i decided to tend to the RMT forums because i basically lack knowledge of 6th gen. I feel like i'm stuck at the moment and can use any advice. The team is based around sticky web -> most pokemons used are at the slower side of the spectrum but come with added bulk.

The team in detail:
galvantula.jpg

Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder
- Giga Drain
- Bug Buzz
- Sticky Web

Galvantula was chosen as he was the only pokemon i knew of at the time that could set up sticky web. To my surprise however he has been doing a really good job at taking care of some common leads. Often people lead with a talonflame that is OHKO'd by thunder, wich trough compound eyes is rather accurate.
Also some people think donphan can check it but then giga drain makes them cry. Bug Buzz is there as a strong STAB move that also helps get rid celebi and friends. 0 Atk IVs to take less dammage from confusion and foul play.

Scizor.jpg

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SDef
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- Superpower

Scizor was added mainly because i wasn't up to date with the newest threats, but scizor beeing the beast he always was still checks a big part of the OU metagame. The set used is the basic choice band set. With bullet punch beeing super effective against fairy he became even more versatile. This set doesnt really need explaining i think. U-turn for scouting obviously.

Florges (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SAtk / 30 Spd
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Toxic
- Hidden Power [Fire]

I told myself at the start of making this team i was going to have atleast one 6th gen pokemon. In order to do this i looked at some of the stats and florges immediatly caught my eye. Even without any investment in SDef he reaches 344 S Def, but with it he goes up to a scary sounding 447 SDef. Along with 360 HP this thing has such a great special bulk! His moveset was rather interesting aswell, having acces to wish is never a bad thing. Together with scizor the defensive core was formed, with wish passing to scizor to prolongue his capability. Toxic is there because i really didnt know what other moves to use. Moonblast is a nice STAB that 2HKO's most dragons i faced so far. HP fire is mainly a filler, the idea was to check scizor/aegislash but florges sadly cant do that. The IVs allow a 60BP hidden fire with an as low as possible attack stat for foul play/confusion.

azumarill.jpg

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Superpower
- Double-Edge

Azumarill was nobody's favorite in 5th gen because so many pokemons outclassed it in terms of power. However with the addition of Fairy-typing and a second STAB attack azumarill just became awesome. I expect it to be in OU in this gen because who wouldnt want to OHKO anything that switches in to a play rough? Even if it is resisted it will do a great chunk of dammage wich is allways welcome. His bulk is not something to forget either, he can take some hits! I opted for Double-edge over waterfall but i find i'm not using it much, then again i wouldnt use waterfall too much either i think because play rough is just so powerfull. Superpower is there for heatran/tyranitar and so on.

Gengar @ Gengarite
Ability: Levitate (Shadow Tag)
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Bomb
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast

Mega-gengar is such a theat. He looses his levitate sadly but he gains a very powerfull shadow tag instead. With sludge bomb now beeing a viable move because of fairy he can run 2 STAB moves. Thunderbolt is there for watertypes aswell as slow flying types. Focus blast, or fail blast as some would like to call it, is there for Ghost/fighting coverage. However i find myself not really using it that often because i hate how a miss can turn around a game. 0 Atk IVs in case of confusion or foul play.
Sadly this pokemon doesnt check kangaskhan because of his sucker punch. Actually he dies to alot of priority, however i found him surviving some attacks i didnt think he could because of his slightly improved bulk.

excadrill.jpg

Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Slide

Last but not least is excadrill. He is used as a rapid spinner but he also outspeeds alot of pokemon affected by sticky web wich makes him able to sweep some threats. Also trough mold breaker he can catch levitating pokemons off guard like gengar and latios. I felt like i needed a rapid spinner after sticky web was used against me wich makes the idea of my team fail. Therefor excadrill had to come into the picture to keep my momentum up. He also brings stealth rock to the table wich i didnt have on any other pokemon so i took that over iron head. Rock slide is there for pseudo edgequake coverage. He is Adamant nature because he can still outspeed what he has to without speed investment.

Conclusion:
This was my currently used sticky web team. It doesnt perform too great at the moment, i feel like i have a gaping aegislash weakness. Other then that i've been able to win some games however the win/loss ratio at the moment is far from what it should be. I'm stuck at 1550 showdown rating, wich lets face it is the bottom of the barrel.

Thanks in advance for all the suggestions.

If im not mistaken, Mega gengar is banned. Otherwise i am not playing pokebank simulators like PO, or showdown so im not 100% sure how the pokebank meta is there. That being said i think Defensive Mega scizor, opposing excadrill, and aegislash can really give you a hard time.

Scenario 1: Your lead galvantula is crippled, or dead. Opponent brings in 252 hp mega scizor with some defense investment on your azumaril's play rough, your excadrill, your florges, your scizors pursuit or bullet punch or even your gengar after it has killed something and proceeds to set up a swords dance. Your whole team will be swept, as you have nothing to handle it. I would recommend switching out florges for bulky assault vest goodra, as you already have a fairy in azumaril.

scenario 2: Air balloon Aegislash, very simmilar to the previous scenario, can set up easily on azumaril or scizor. If it manages to get +2 from Swords Dance you have nothing to stop it with, Adamant excadrill your best option cannot kill it with earthquake due to air balloon and will die to sacred sword. I would reccomend turning scizor into a mega set like (252hp/252atk/4sd.def/adamant) with (Bullet Punch/Thief/Swords Dance/Roost)

Excadrill is a threat in a different way, he can easily come in and remove your hazards. I think the suggestions i made above though, would remedy this. Hope i have helped, peace :)
