A Rose in a Stormy Desert.....RMT

So here is another Sandstorm team :-p. It isnt the regular though and I need your help to take out the kinks!!

So here's a glance:

Ok so its a more offensive oriented stall teamish thing.

Strat-Roserade sets up Toxic Spikes, Ttar gives SS, and Forretress gives SR. The rest are for Support and stuff.

Without a further adeiu....

Roserade * ToxicRose
Item: Focus Sash
Nature: Timid
EV's: 252 Spe 252 SpA 6 Hp
Moveset:
~Toxic Spikes
~Grass Knot
~Sleep Powder/ Hp Fire
~Weather Ball/Hp Fire

Ok so its main job is to set up Toxic Spikes. Now this is the problem. I am not 100% sure on using Sash due to Sandstorm but it guarantee's at least 1 Toxic Spike. I was thinking of using Scarf but I dont feel it because now I'll be forced to switch a lot, and such.

Nextly, Sleep Powder is kinda redundant late game due to Toxic Spikes but might be usefull for Zongs or other levitating steels/immune to TS, but I can use it on the first turn to get in successful TS or two.

Tyranitar* Cataclysm
Item: Choice Band
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP 42 Atk 216 SDef
Moveset
~Pursuit
~EQ
~Crunch
~Stone Edge

Ok ok its Jibaku's Tyranitar....shoot me for not being orginal xD Anyways I really like this set and build. It is also perfect for my team being an offensive stall team.

dpmba485.png

Heatran* MagmaMech
Item: Leftovers/LO
Nature: Timid
EV's: 252 SpA 240 Spe 12 Hp
Moveset
~Substitute
~Flamethrower/Lava Plume
~Earth Power
~Dragon Pulse

With all those resistances, this is definately a great asset for my team. The ev's give it max neutral SpA and enough Spe to outspeed base 75. I am currently debating however if outrunning base 75 is important since most of them are BL/UU pokemon. Also most base 75 dont even use max speed (probably the most common is Absol).

Anyways the moves give it 100% coverage so thats good. Sub is because there are many pokemon that will switch out so I can Sub up they switch and I get a free hit.

Now for the items. LO gives me more of a punch while Leftovers allows me to maybe Sub up again later which is gonna be useful.

dpmba205.png

Forretress* Ironhide
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed
EV's: 252 Hp 252 Def 6 Atk
~Rapid Spin
~Stealth Rocks
~EQ
~Explosion

My Physical Wall. EQ is for those Magnezones and from experience, Infernapes, who seem to think switching into this is safe. The Ev's are because besides this, I am pretty weak on the defensive side. Stealth Rock and Rapid Spin are self explanatory.

dpmba480.png

Uxie* Acumen
Nature: Bold
Item: Leftovers
EV's: 252 Hp 100 SpD ??? Def
~Reflect
~ThunderBolt
~Psychic
~Rest

Mixape Counter. I just put in SpD to lighten blows from Flamethrower and other Sp. Attacks. I dont know what to do though about Defense ev's though. Should I max it out now?

For the attacks, Reflect for my glaring Physical Weakness, Thunderbolt for Gyarados and Psychic for STAB and for Ape. Rest is for healing. Also in my case it actually not sucky because I sort of have a Breloom weakness also and know it cant go on a rampage because of Sleep Clause.

dpmba448.png

Lucario* Aura
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 252 Atk 252 Spe 6 Hp
Moveset:
~SD
~Crunch
~ExtremeSpeed
~Close Combat

Excellent for this team! As my opponent gets crippled by poison and as damage start to accumulate, this finishes them off. I am using this over Garchomp atm just because of the fact that it can use ES. Also beats up a lot of other pokemon badly after that SD which I can put up easily because of all its immunities.

Ok now there is the team, however there are some things that I cant seem to fit in here:

1) AntiSpin- Since I pretty much depend on my Spikes, it is pretty obvious that I need a ghost. I just cant seem to fit one in however so I really need help here. My main candidate is Obi's ResTalk Spiritomb

2) Celebi- Celebi is just awesome. It counters Breloom nicely and can support the team with Heal Bell as well as stall with REcover. Again I cant fit it in anywhere.

NOTE: I just FEEL like putting in the aforementioned pokemon atm. I dont find them as a necessity yet. So yeah please comment and all help will be useful.

Thanks in Advance

Hmm thats true. Theoretically I might be able to stall it with poison. Other than that, you migth be right, it might rip my team apart.

yeah but even then pert is resitant to poison and if they have a rapid spinner then you have to way to stall him.....might look into putting Explosion on Forretress for just that occasion

Whats the point of Roserade leading if you want to take advantage of weather ball if you plan on using it?

And whats with the recent Roserade influx? It's like becoming the new trend. Looks like ScarfGar is going bye bye. :(

Just try giving Uxie Grass Knot over one of it's current moves.

Plus Zap Cannon is ghey. Replace it with Earthquake. Replace Stealth Rock with Spikes, and use an Uxie set like this. Stealth Rock / Yawn / Thunderbolt / Grass Knot.

Zap Cannon is shit. Uxie already beats up Gyarados terribly so why even use it?

Not to mention Waterfall's 20% flinch will really fuck with your already terrible 50% accuracy.

Ok I'll take off Zap Cannon for Explosion. Now, about spikes/SR. I thought of that as well but now I will REALLY need a ghost to counter a spinner.

Lastly what do you recommend the ev spread for uxie?

As already said you have a Gengar weakness, and also Lucario weakness. Replacing Uxie with Snorlax would be good. Weezing over Foretress can help with fighting types and Gyarados. If you really want a spinner you can try to add in Starmie somewhere.

Uxie is there as a mixape counter. Lax cannot do that. Besides w/ out sleep ttar can handle gengar pretty well. Weezing isn't so good imo. Tress is much better.

Oh darn...lemme guess THEY can only put one pokemon to sleep? I think I have been misinterpreting sleep clause...I guess now I probably really need Celebi now.

Lol, I think I made that roserade starter popular... heh

Also, this team has amazing synergy for a SS team. Nice work!

If you want a ghost and breloom counter, don't forget banette!

I find it strange how nothing has a recovery move.

Replace Uxie for Starmie or Vaporeon since they can counter Infernape just as well. They'll also absorb the water attacks aimed at Heatran better than Uxie could.

I was really also finding a way to add vaporeon so that might work also. I'll think about replacing Uxie with Vaporeon so I can have Wish Support.
