Hello!
Recently I have started to get in to the UU tier on Pokemon Showdown. I find that it has a bigger variety of Pokemon, and you don't see the same Pokemon on every team like the ever so monotonous OU tier. I've made a few teams for UU, but this is definitely my favourite. I only started Teambuilding and playing more seriously a short time ago, so my W - L Ratio and GXE isn't very high, however I do know that I peaked in the mid 1350's. Anyway, on to the team~
My team is broken into 3 parts, so that is how I'll display it.
Victini @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- V-create
- Bolt Strike
- Zen Headbutt
- U-turn
Victini is my usual lead. It's an excellent wallbreaker, with access to moves like V-Create, which do an insane amount of damage. In fact, V-Create does the exact same amount of damage as a super-effective Bolt Strike would do. With max speed investment and a Choice Scarf, it can still outspeed many Pokemon after the speed drop from V-Create. Scarf U-Turn is also a very nice combo. Zen Headbutt is there for STAB, but I don't use it very often.
Florges (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Symbiosis
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Aromatherapy
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
Florges is currently the most used Pokemon in UU, and for a reason. It's great specially defensive bulk and access to moves like Wish and Aromatherapy make it an amazing support Pokemon. I've decided to run a physically defensive Florges, as people simply don't expect it. I distinctly remember one opponent saying he was very shocked after I told him I was not running specially defensive Florges. Florges' special bulk is great naturally without investment, and Moonblast also has a 30% chance to lower Special Attack, improving my Special Defence even more.
Aggron @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Head Smash
- Stealth Rock

[ ~ The Orbers ~ ]
These Pokemon have great coverage, and both do a respective amount of damage with their Life Orbs.
Mienshao @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- High Jump Kick / Drain Punch
- Fake Out
Mienshao is a personal favourite of mine. Its access to moves like Knock Off and U-Turn, its coverage and the viability of it are just amazing. I decide to go with this set because I really liked the idea of it. Knock Off is a great move just by itself, and can check some dangerous things like Victini and Metagross. I'm debating as to whether I should go with Drain Punch or High Jump Kick. Personally I like High Jump Kick, as it has much more power and if I miss, I can regain most of the lost health through Regenerator.
Nidoking (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Wave
- Ice Beam / Earth Power
- Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt
Nidoking's coverage, good STABs and power with the Life Orb + Sheer Force combo is what got it a place on my team. This thing is just amazing. A lot of the time things stay in on it, and straight after I OHKO. It's a great check to some dangerous things in UU, such as Florges, Metagross etc. However, it's lack of defences mean that it gets knocked out quite easily. Max speed investment is necessary, as Nidoking has a mediocre 85 base speed.
[ ~ The Choicers ~ ]
These Pokemon do the real damage on the team. Their choice items allow them to hit hard, and hit fast.
Noivern @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Boomburst
- Air Slash
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
I always like to try and fit a spot for Noivern on my team. It has INSANE coverage, and hits extremely hard with Choice Specs. Boomburst is there in case I don't want to risk missing, but I still need some power. Air Slash and Draco Meteor are Noivern's two STAB moves, and Flamethrower counters Ice-types while providing coverage as well. This thing outspeeds (I think) anything that isn't Scarfed. The only real problem Noivern has is Sturdy Donphan with Ice Shard, and Florges. These Pokemon have great coverage, and both do a respective amount of damage with their Life Orbs.

This is by far my favourite part of the team. The synergy of this core is unmatched - they work unbelievably well together.

It's the same kettle of fish with Mega-Aggron. It's natural defence is higher then most fully invested physical walls. It's synergy with Florges is amazing - Florges counters many of Mega-Aggron's weaknesses, and Mega-Aggron counters many of Florges' weaknesses. It has the ability to set up Stealth Rock, can counter Fire-types with Head Smash and Earthquake, and does a decent amount of damage with Heavy Slam. Most Physical STAB fighting-type moves are a 3HKO, and a super-effective Life Orb + Sheer Force Earth Power from a Nidoking doesn't even OHKO - that is some serious bulk.
[ ~ Conclusion ~]
Overall, I've really liked how this team's worked out. I love the synergy and certainly love battling with it. Please add your suggestions and comments, I'd love to hear what you think! Thank you for reading,
