A team around Staraptor

I have a cool team to show this time while studying synergy and and my past battles I have crafted a rather unique team against the weather(I think...).

a team around the most amazing normal/flying type with the most amazing fighting type move other than Togekiss... Staraptor!

Team:

Tai Fong(Mienshao)M@Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 4Hp, 252Atk, 252Spe
Nature: Naive

~ Fake Out
~ Hi Jump Kick
~ Hidden Power (Ice)
~ U-Turn

Tai Fong my favorite martial artist pokemon and I wanted him to be used on this team very fast and an Excellent Fake out lead. Fake Out of course causes flinches. H J K is for taking care of Excadrill and Tyranitar who will use the weather of sandstorm. Hidden Power Ice get sandstorm abusers from the sky like Landorus and Gliscor. U-Turn hits Dark types as well as keeping the pressure on the opponents as I switch to one of the other pokemon of my team.

Kingdra_v_2_by_Xous54.png

Lucky Day(Kingdra)M@Life Orb
Ability: Swift swim
EVs: 92Atk, 252SpA, 162Spe
Nature: Mild

~ Rain Dance
~ Waterfall
~Hydro Pump
~ Draco Meteor

I do believe Kindra is by far an awesome pokemon with quite a few tricks up his sleeve I can use him to disperse permanent weather (other than rain) to keep my team from getting bombarded with weather enhanced moves and used the rain to his advantage. Rain Dance allows the use of swift swim and afterwards change the weather back to normal unless that politoed is the one generating the weather. Waterfall and Hydro Pump are two powerful STABs on both sides of the attacking spectrum and does a great deal of damage physical or special walls. finally Draco Meteor another STAB to just rip apart frail foes and foes that take Neutral damage of the OU tier and does heavy damage to other Dragons.

forretress.jpg

Grenade!!!(Forretress)M@Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252Hp, 112Atk, 144Def
Nature: Relaxed

~ Toxic Spikes
~ Rapid Spin
~ Gyro Ball
~ Explosion

If I wanted to hit a Dragon I have to have a Shield against them Forretress is the perfect pokemon to Tank against the Dragons the Metallic Bagworm seem like a better choice than Scizor because of the Grand Defense stats and Typing making for a tough opponent. Toxic Spikes are a good way to cripple my opponents I could replace it for Stealth rock If the situation arises and I want to rally take down Volcarona on the Chance there's a Sun Team on the Opposing side. Rapid Spin takes care of Stealth Rocks on my side and it really help My Staraptor who hate those rocks quite a bit. Gyro Ball a top notch STAB Move for taking out Rock and Ice type I could replace for Payback and a good way to take care of Spin Blockers like Jellicent. Finally Explosion is for ending with a Bang in the late game.

Staraptor_by_Xous54.png

Sven(Staraptor)M@Choice Band
Ability:Reckless
EVs:252Atk, 4Def, 252Spe
Nature: Jolly

~ Brave Bird
~ Close Combat
~ Double-Edge
~ U-Turn

Here the Star of the Team... Sven the Staraptor he is the Most amazing bird I have ever seen and he is from my most favorite Region Sinnoh now in the 5th Gen he is even better than he was then with Reckless at his Disposal Brave Bird and Double-Edge Two STAB are now the most Devastating attacks he has control of terminally decimating the OU tier. Close Combat his famous move allow coverage of rock types, Kyurem, during the Hail weather and Dark types. U-Turn turns my team into a double switch between my Mienshao and Staraptor and he has a vicious attack base and speed. He can damage a lot of foes before he is through just like it did to me in my random battle.

Jackette(Electivire)M@Expert Belt
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 4Hp, 252Atk, 252Spe
Nature: Jolly

~ Wild Charge
~ Earthquake
~ Ice Punch
~ Cross Chop

Jackette is the Perfect Synergy Buddy to Sven and cover each other very well. Wild Charge hit water types and other Flying types with Significant damage wild Charge is much stronger than thunder Punch and it would seem like a great Substitute. Earthquake is a powerful ground type move she has access to (just like Stunfisk) which hit Steel types for awesome damage. Ice Punch hit Grass types and Dragons and it also has a Freeze chance which may come in handy in some situations. Cross Chop hits Ferrothorn Generally that would resist Ice Punch and other Ice types.

Dusknoir_v_2_by_Xous54.png

Paranorm(Dusknoir)M@Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252Hp, 28Atk, 228Def
Nature: Impish

~ Will-O-Wisp
~ Pain Split
~ Shadow Sneak
~ Earthquake

"Huuurrr, Huuuuurrrr this will be fun..." Dusknoir is the best I am starting to hear that this pokemon is being outclassed by his Pre-evo I going to show that he is still useful with this Standard OU tank Set Will-O-Wisp is for crippling the opponents physical attackers like Lucario and Excadrill. Pain Split is great against Bulky foes like Blissey and Snorlax as well as allowing more survivability better than Dusclops in Certain cases. Shadow Sneak is for Priority, STAB and Revenge killing after my Staraptor has don the damage and it has more power over his Pre-evo form. Earthquake is for the case that there is an opponent that would block Will-O-Wisp with flash fire like Heatran and other Flash Fire user like Typhlosion and Arcanine.

Threats...

Offensively

472.gif
Gliscor can make quick work of Tai Fong and Jackette if I predict incorrectly as I have seen in past battles.

637.gif
Volcarona in Sunny weather can definitely overwhelm Grenade!!! before he can even set up move to be very cautious of would be Quiver dance

612.gif
Haxorus after on dragon dance and a Life Orb will do some serious damage especially if the Pokemon has Aerial Ace or Night Slash which will hurt Paranorm, Jackette, Tai Fong and Lucky Day
479-h.gif
Rotom-H with trick will cripple Grenade!!! with Trick and can do some damage to my team with Overheat Neutrally the but that play will be thwarted by Lucky Day

645.gif
Landorus just like Gliscor can make quick work of Tai Fong, Jackette and Sven on the chance I mispredict taking out some of my pokemon early on in a match

Defensively

423_e.gif
Gastrodon Defensively can make quick work of Jackette as well a cripple my team with Burns or Poison if not Dealt with immediately. Sven can take him out with Close Combat
593.gif
Jellicent is a great Spin Blocker to Grenade!!! as well as a Good threat to Sven blocking 50% of his move set, Water Absorb will also put Lucky Day at a Disadvantage making my only counter Jackette best choice to thwart this ghost

598.gif
Ferrothorn can wall most of Lucky Day's set Putting him at a Disadvantage Thunder Wave can really suck for my team the best way to deal with him would be to hit him with a Powerful fighting type move

thanks for checking out my new team give me you Ideas and tips as well as critiques for future teams Thank you and good Night ^V^

Eviolite Dusclops is infinitely better than Dusknoir and Electivire isn't that good. Definitely there are better options Electric wise.

I don't see a means to stop Shell Smash Cloyster......maybe you should give Forretress Stealth Rock instead of Toxic Spikes. This way, it can stop the oyster from sweeping your team.

Cloyster isn't that common, and the only poke it can really setup on is Forry. plus, SR does a quarter of its health, which while helpful won't make or break a threat

Get a eviolite dusclops as it is much better of a wall. On him, keep Shadow Sneak, Pain Split and wisp. I think you can drop EQ for Pursuit, as most opponents will switch out if they are walled(which is pretty much everything). Also i see gengar subbing up and calm minding on fortress and completely ripping your team apart. On dusclops i really recommend some spcl defense ev's, as you always have a physical tank. Elective? Seems pretty out of place, possibly change that? Anyways good luck.

Hey man, i dont have a lot of time right now, i'll just give you some quick stuff:

You have ALL physical attackers which is a huge problem. I imagine stall is a total bitch to this team. Skarm takes your whole team, save electivire.

Explosion nerf makes it useless on Forretress, try volt switch for momentum.

I'd help more if i had the time, but I have to jet. To be honest, this team needs work.

You have nothing for ferrothorn. Switch meinshaos HP with fire, as electivire already beats and outspeeds dragonite& adamant haxorous. the HP is always good for skarm.

i always facepalm when i see these rates. ALL physical/special attackers puts MORE pressure on stall, and skarm will be weakened enough that one sweeper, primarily starraptor can break through. Also at above poster, mienshao HJK's ferro into oblivion, along with E-Vire's Cross Chop AND starraptor's CC.
