ORAS UU A team with Mega Aggro! RMT

Greetings everyone I'm mrnastyafrican and this is a team i been testing for awhile and I just thought I would share it. I started building this team mainly around Mega-Aggron because he's one of my favorite pokemon.

like I said I wanted to build a team around mega-Aggron so he was my first and obvious choice.

Aggron @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 120 SpD
Impish Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Heavy Slam
- Stealth Rock
- Roar

I chose megaAggro because he isn't really used and i like his mega form. This EV spread puts megaAggro in "tank" mode. I gave aggron T-wave because he's bulky enough to take hits and spread paralysis with roar. Heavy slam is Aggron main STAB move and can be replaced with iron head for constant damage but heavy slam OHKO's florges after stealth rocks so its up to the user. Stealth rocks are almost guaranteed with aggrons sturdy while roar is used over toxic simply because it stops setup sweepers who think they have a chance to setup on Aggron.

My next step was finding a pokemon who can counter aggrons main weaknesses so i thought of crobat.

Crobat @ Black Sludge
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Defog
- U-turn
- Roost/taunt

Crobat is great partner for aggron bkuz he 4x resistent to fighting moves and is able to hit fighting types back hard with brave bird. The EV spread is nothing special just invested it in attack and speed. Brave bird is used as check for the fighting types and is crobats main STAB move. Defog is used for hazards removing and U-turn is usually used to scout slower pokemon. The last move is filler, lately I been using taunt and its been working very well.

After observing my team I noticed I didn't have a Fire resist so I thought vaporeon was a good fit.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Def / 56 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Baton Pass/heal bell
- Scald
- Wish
- Protect

Aggron has no reliable way to recover so i needed a wish passer on the team and vaporeon fills the role perfectly. With Vaporeons resistance to fire spam and Baton pass+wish, aggron can live longer and keep being a tank. The EV spread allows vaporeon to take 2 flare blitz from scrafed Darmanitan. Baton pass is used as a slow pivot to pass Wish to a weaken Ally, wish+protect is for recovery and scald is STAB.

My next process was finding a pokemon who can threaten grass types who threaten vaporeon and i decided to go with aracanine.

Arcanine @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- ExtremeSpeed
- Flare Blitz
- Wild Charge

I decided to go with CB Aracanine because i needed a wall breaker and plus I like the idea of CB+ESpeed. Aracanine was added to the team as a wall breaker, with flare blitz as it main STAB attack and Wild Charge for coverage. Close Combat is used to hit dark types and ESpeed is for priority.

I started noticing my team was weak to bulky water types and I just wanted to add a grass type for a FWG core so i chose shaymin.

Shaymin @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Air Slash
- Earth Power
- Seed Flare
- Healing Wish

Shayman is one of the most dominant grass types in UU and it takes the bulky water types out like swampert and suicune. The EV nature is assured that shayman packs a serious punch while having speed. air slash is for fighting types and with aggron spreading paralysis i have para flinch hax sometimes :). earth power hits predicted fire types switch-ins seed flare is its main STAB and i put healing wish as a filler but it turns out to work pretty well.

After looking at my team i decided i needed a choice scarfer so, I added a Haxorus since aggron checks most of his counters.

Haxorus @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 36 SpD / 220 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Poison Jab
- Outrage
Haxorus is a strong scarfer who can benefit from aggron. Earthquake to hit levitate pokemon dragon claw just in case i dont need to lock myself in outrage. Poison jab to hit fairys and outrage for its most powerful STAB.

I would like to hear what you guys think about the team and try it out and see if it works for you, thank you for reading :)

Maybe consider EQ instead of T-Wave on your Aggron. I found that set way more useful. But that's my personal preference. Awesome team nonetheless, I like to see Shay being used!

Sup dude, nice balance team. I'm a big fan of the Aggron, Vap, Bat core myself, so it's nice to see someone else use it. I just have a few things to comment on about your team so I'll just get into it.
  • As a banded fire type, Entei outclasses Arcanine. Entei is stronger and bulkier and also has access to Sacred Fire a.k.a no safe switch ins and has access to prio espeed as well. The only thing that Arcanine really has over Entei is Wild Charge to hit bulky waters, however you can just burn them with Sacred Fire :]. But really, banded Entei is much better than Arc haha.
  • I think you made this team before the drops, but I would use Salamence over Haxorus (while you still can). Mence's base 100 speed vs. Haxorus's base 97 speed really helps it alot, allowing you to outspeed Scarf Dreigon and speed tie other Mence after they DD. Moxie is also fantastic allowing you to boost your attack after every kill which really helps you sweep late game.
  • These last 2 suggestions I have are kind of preference, but I'll lay them out for you so you can see other options you have with your team. You can opt for 200 Speed Crobat so that you can creep Noivern which is the fastest mon below 130 speed in the tier, and then invest more into bulk so you can take hits better which is something that I would recommend because of this meta becoming much more fighting type oriented you're gonna be switching this in to take their hits quite a bit. And the other suggestion is for is Rest over Healing Wish to provide some longevity for it. Again, these last 2 things aren't as mandatory as the other things I went over.
Hope I helped! Gl in future battles :]

Hey, nice cores on this one indeed. As Toenail stated above, Aggron/Vaporeon/Bat is very solid defensively, while you also keep a nice traditional F/W/G core in terms of Arcanine, Shaymin and Vaporeon (even though we're all the way up in Gen 6.5 now, it'll always be solid).

There's not much to really improve here, however I do have one minor suggestion:

- Crobat should at least run 40HP EV's. This might look very trivial, but it serves a purpose, namely, the return of Heracross.

252+ Atk Choice Band Heracross Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 204-240 (65.5 - 77.1%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

252+ Atk Choice Band Heracross Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 40 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 204-240 (63.5 - 74.7%)

Generally, players tend to simply click Knock Off early game with CB Heracross to ease predictions and getting rid of passive recovery for its checks. As Toenail suggested earlier on, 200+ speed EV's generally suffices on bat to outspeed Noivern. The rest you can put in HP and add a little bit to the bulk and longevity of your defogger.

Finally, even though I tend to agree that yes, Entei outclasses Arcanine as a pure Band mon for the reasons stated above, I don't quite agree that Wild Charge is the only benefit Arcanine holds. Because you are running Intimidate, you can easily bluff a defensive Arc set early game, something that can be very beneficial to get a surprise KO or big hit off putting you ahead of your opponent (the lack of leftovers isn't even that much of a problem, as Rocky Helmet is just as common). This is purely because over the past years, Arc has almost exclusively functioned as a defensive pokemon in UU, which gives you the opportunity to abuse a Band set.

These were my 2 cents, good luck man! :]
