Ok I have been working on this team for well over four months now and after giving up on it due to boredom I have began work on it once more. The main problems before was due to stall teams and like most trick room teams stall is always there main problem and after looking at a few stall team I figured out that toxic spikes could work in my favour, with the only common spinners not effected by them including forretress and tentacruel both being hurt a lot by my setter, and what's more is that the only other common spinner which doesn't mind them that much is starmie which is usually seen on offensive minded teams and so with a simple switch from breloom to my new pokemon I have think I have solved the main problems for trick room teams.
Hippowdon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
- Slack Off
Ok. First things first I have chosen hippowdon for so many reasons now where to start? Reliable recovery, which is very useful for any support mon, stealth rocks and whirlwind which pairs hand in hand with each other and STAB earthquake, which hurts like no tomorrow. Now I have chosen the mixed wall set as I felt as I needed a defensive pivot of sorts and its works very well however there times I miss the mass defensive bulk other sets provide but, on the whole I am pleased as I can easily come in ninetales and politoad, although the specs variants hurt.
Landorus (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Now this is my scarfer, any good trick room team needs a scarfer and this one is no exception. Sand force and choice scarf is to outspeed as many things as possible and to abuse sandstorm. Earthquake and stone edge to abuse sand force to the fullest, u turn to bullied up precious momentum and hidden power ice, although rarely used is to dispatch dragons and gliscor.
Scizor (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
- Superpower
Well , now we come to my first true abuser of trick room, the ev,s are to maximise both bulk and power, and to reduce speed as much as possible, sword dance is to set up, bullet punch is to continue the possible sweep once trick rooms effects lift, superpower is a powerful generally useful move, and bug bite although rarely seen on scizors nowadays is so useful for getting neutral
damage on water types and for nabbing kills on grass, psychic and dark types also the secondary effects is always quite useful for stealing berries like lum berry.
Omastar (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Toxic Spikes
- Earth Power
- Surf
- AncientPower
Ok this is new addition. Toxic spikes is to make stall teams life a living nightmare, and earthquake power ties in nicely with the spikes by taking down grounded poison types and denting most steel types, earth power and ancient power provides a from of edgequake, and surf is reliable STAB. The evs and nature is to reduce speed as much as possible and to improve bulk as he already has a decent physical bulk and with the storm, special defensive aswell
Slowbro (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Trick Room
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Flamethrower
Well offensive bro! Trick room is self explanatory as this a trick room team, ice beam is for dragons that he can easily switch into with his natural bulk, surf is reliable STAB and flamethrower is somewhat unique as I needed a pokemon to take down both scizor and dragons in one package and its just a bonus that it fits so well with taking down ferrothorn and other steel types. Lastly with regenerator he can last till almost the end of the match.
Reuniclus (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 196 HP / 56 Def / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Trick Room
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
Well need I explain? This is my wall breaker and general smasher. Life orb with that special attack will break most things. Shadow ball and focus miss provides great coverage, psyschock is to cripple blissey and Chansey and the evs is to maximise bulk and power.
I will continue rate later but I need to go now, by thankyou for reading and I hope you guys can leave feedback. Also I now know how to put images on!!!!!!! :)
