Hey oomfs, after building my Drampa team, I wanted to build a trick room team around Drampa, since I have very little experience with using trick room I took a huge chunk of this team from Abhi ( on this thread https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/trick-room-hyper-offensive.3689482/#post-8950358)
anyways I have been doing rather decent with this team and I wanted to show it, as always I would appreciate any suggestions you guys make to make this team better.

Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 152 HP / 56 Def / 252 SpA / 48 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe

Drampa will always have a special place in my heart and in all my teams, choice specs allows it to nuke everything not named blissey or AV slowking, I played around with both berserker and cloud nine but sap sipper has allowed my team not to perish to choice banded Rillabooms wood hammer, which this team has a very difficult time with dealing with if trick room goes down.
Marowak-Alola @ Thick Club
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD

- Bonemerang
- Flare Blitz
- Poltergeist
what is trick room in singles without alolan Marowak? this Pokémon is quite possibly the best trick room mon in the entire game, it hits everything incredibly hard and after a swords dance boost, nothing absolutely nothing can live if it they don’t resist both poltergeist and flare blitz. Lightning rod makes it a great counter/check to tapu koko and regieleki that doesn’t have ancient power.
Cresselia (F) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 232 HP / 184 Def / 92 SpA

IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe

Cress was chosen over Uxie because of its insane bulk allowing it to survive pretty much every move in the game and the amazing lunar dance, lunar dance has won me a lot of games, a weakened marowak or Drampa to come in and safely nuke things, magic coat is always good as anti hazards or status and rocky helmet helps me really crucial chip to allow me to ko things that may barely survive any of Drampa or waks moves.
Melmetal @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 232 HP / 252 Atk / 24 Def
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Double Iron Bash
- Superpower
- Thunder Punch
- Ice Punch
Yet another trick room mon that hits everything incredibly hard double iron bash nukes everyth it hits neutrally and both ice and thunder punches have amazing coverage and ensure I don’t get beat by lando,corviknight, chomp etc. Melmetal is honestly the second best trick room mon in my opinion.
Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 192 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Ice Beam
- Magic Coat
- Teleport
porygon 2 does what it does best, sets up trick room and teleports away with almost no risk of dying due to its insane bulk, ice beam allows it to beat both chomp and lando T and magic coat is incredibly helpful against status moves, not much else to say other than this rivals cress in terms of sheer reliability at setting up trick room.
Hatterene (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpA
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Mystical Fire
- Misty Explosion
- Healing Wish
Hatterene is almost always my lead magic bounce and focus sash ensures that I set up trick room 100% of the time unless I’m fighting melmetal, mystical fire allows it to hit ferrothorn and corviknight hard and misty explosion is a good way to pivot out and to deal great chip damage to most mons and healing wish is amazing at recovering the nukes of my team.
