Hello! Thank you in advance for looking at my RMT. My team is a very offensive team, as I dislike stall and defense in general. The main purpose of the team is to sufficiently weaken and/or cripple the opposing team through the use of my choice band/specs/scarf pokemon in order to set up a sweep for either my agility Porygon-Z or my speed boost Sharpedo. Here is the team at a glance:
Donphan
And now the detailed overview:
THE LEAD
Infernape@Choice Band
Ability:Blaze
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Speed
Jolly
-Flare Blitz
-Mach Punch
-Stone Edge
-U-turn
Infernape does an incredible job as a lead. I'm not one to play any sort of defense, so an anti-lead is perfect for me. Plus, in the current metagame, it is hard to run a dedicated lead with all the priority taunts running around, so, this is great. First of all, it is by no means dead weight if I decide to switch it with another pokemon in the lead position, as the choice band allows me to deal fine damage. As far as I can tell, there is no top ten leads at this point. This is preforming its job very well.
THE TRICK SCARFER
Mew@Choice Scarf
Ability:Synchronize
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Speed
Modest
-Psyshock
-Shadow Ball
-Aura Sphere
-Trick
At first I thought I was insane when I thought of this, but it has been somewhat effective. Mew is meant to screw up a defensive pokemon like chansey or dusclops by tricking a scarf and then hitting with the appropriate move. This is doing an adequate job. I am open to any suggestions.
THE SPECS
Sceptile@Choice Specs
Ability:Overgrow
4 HP/252 Sp Atk/252 Speed
Hasty
-Leaf Storm
-Dragon Pulse
-Hidden Power[FIRE]
-Focus Blast
This is the hole puncher in my team, meant to hit anything and everything with ridiculously powerful leaf storms. HP fire was chosen over ice because I do mind ferrothorn that much, and dragon pulse takes dragons easily. I hate focus blast, but I have no choice. This is fine.
THE SURPRISE ATTACKER
Donphan@Expert Belt
Ability:Sturdy
252 HP/252 Atk/4 Sp. Def
Adamant
-Earthquake
-Ice Shard
-Fire Fang
-Stone Edge
Donphan catches a lot of people off guard with its high powered Earthquakes. Ice Shard is neccesery, because the rest of my team has trouble with dragon dancing pokemon. Fire Fang is so that Bronzong and skarmory can't stop me. I changed rapid spin to stone edge. The flexibility has worked much better than the constant switching with the CB. This is greatly improved and I like it.
The AGILITY SWEEPER
Porygon-Z@Life Orb
Ability:Adaptability
4 HP/252 Sp. Atk/252 Speed
Timid
-Ice Beam
-Tri Attack
-Shadow Ball
-Hidden Power[Fight]
EDIT: I removed agility and made it max speed. I replaced agility with Ice Beam. This is still not working great.
THE SPEED BOOST SWEEPER
Sharpedo@Life Orb
Ability:Speed Boost
4 HP/252 Sp. Atk/252 Speed
Rash
-Protect
-Hydro Pump
-Hidden Power[DARK]
-Ice Beam
This is my other sweeper. EDIT: I made this purely special with HP dark as dark pulse is illegal. This is now doing fine.
Overall, this team is functioning OK, winning about 50/50. I especially need help with Porygon-Z.
