A Weally Fun Time

Hey guys, so this is my first pokemon team and I decided to base it around Weavile. Tell me what you guys think, all that I request is I would like to keep Weavile on the team, everybody else could go if needed. I would like to stress that I am very new at this and my team might need a lot of changes. So here it is:

Weavile @ Life Orb
Pressure
EVs : 252 Spd/ 252 Atk/ 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
Swords Dance, Ice Shard, Night Slash, Low Kick

Weavile has been one of my favourite pokemon, if not my favourite pokemon for a very long time since I was a kid. Honestly, this was my main reason for choosing. I also like physical sweepers the best and since Weavile fits that role perfectly, he was my choice. I find that this set's main threat is faster choice scarf users such as flygon. For this reason, I chose to run Ice Shard over Ice Punch as it might get me that insurance kill I need.

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Levitate
EVs: 252 SDef/ 252 HP / 4 Def
IVs : 0 Speed (for gyro ball)
Sassy Nature
Stealth Rock, Gyro Ball, Toxic, Earthquake

My special wall. Also my flying type coutner (since I have hitmontop on my team). He's one of my most reliable pokemon on my team as he cripples bulky water types with toxic, puts entry hazards up and once again, walls flying types for hitmontop; a crucial spinner on my team. However, I don't know if I should run SDef EVs since Flygon is kind of a threat to my team and a speciall defensive Bronzong won't help against a physical flygon. However, since my team is weak to fire and it's almost crucial for me to get my stealth rocks up, I don't know if I should be running him. Should I substitute him for another entry hazard, special wall?

Hitmontop @ Leftovers
Intimidate
EVS: 252 Def/ 252 HP/ 4 Spd
Impish
Rapid Spin, Foresight, Stone Edge, Close Combat

Since I have two pokemon that have a 25% weakness to Stealth Rock (Darmanitan and Weavile), I thought that it would be crucial for me to have a rapid spinner. I also wanted a bulky physical wall as I didn't have one and I thought that hitmontop found the role perfectly. He also synergizes well with Weavile as Weavile can switch into any psychic types that threaten Hitmontop. Also since Heracross is one of the biggest threats in the UU tier, I needed a heracross check and Hitmontop somewhat fills that role as he can intimidate and hit hard with a close combat. Overall, hitmontop is crucial on my team to get rid of entry hazards.

Kingdra @ Choice Specs
Sniper
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest
Draco Meteor, Surf, Dragon Pulse, HP Electric

Choice Specs Kingdra, while it may seem a little odd, fits my team perfectly as I need a special sweeper and a wall breaker. Bulky water types threaten Weavile as he has trouble getting past them, so Kingdra can hopefully weaken them with HP Electric and other high hitting moves for Weavile to come in and finish. If he has to die to make Weavile's job easier, than so be it. If he were to die, he definitely would weaken the enemy poke with a very powerful Draco Meteor. However, Kingdra is my only somewhat fire resistance, and I might need him alive in certain situations. Again, I don't know what to do to change this and need help in this aspect.

Darmanitan @ Choice Scarf
Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Adamant
Flare Blitz, Earthquake, U-Turn, Superpower

Darmanitan is my revenge killer, hence the choice scarf. Since he has very high attack, a mid speed stat, and is a fire type, I thought that he would be great for my team as a revenge killer. Weavile also synergizes well with him because as Slowbro is the number one counter to Darmanitan, Weavile can switch in on Slowbro and force the switch or take it out. Just incase my Weavile dies early on whether its from a misplay or an outplay by the opponent, Darmanitan can always come in and sweep as his attack stat is very high.

Shaymin @ Life Orb
Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk/ 4 SDef/ 252 Spd
Timid
Seed Flare, Earth Power, Psychic, Rest

Since Weavile and Darmanitan struggle against bulky water types, I figured I could use a special attacking grass type pokemon. Shaymin could take bulky water types out with ease. However, the problem I had with doing this was that it is another fire type weakness on my team. I run rest on this set as it has natural cure and if I can predict a switch at a certain time, I can get a free rest off and switch out to get out of sleep. However, shaymin does function well with Darmanitan as he can take the water attacks for him. I guess you could call my Kingdra, Darmanitan and Shaymin my FWG core as they cover each others weaknesses perfectly.

I understand my team is very weak to fire but I don't know how to get around it. Any suggestions?

Hey there. You have a good team going on here, especially for a first attempt. There is one change that I would make though. Your team is Fire weak. Therefore, I'd suggest changing Bronzong to Chansey. This will give you rocks and a special wall as well as wish support so that your sweepers may get a second chance. GL and I hope I helped.

Sorry, I might be mistaken but isn't Chansey in the BL tier? Since I'm playing UU I don't think I can use BL pokes.

I do agree that your team has a fire weakness, but keep in mind you do have Kingdra. You should only change Bronzong to something else if you have problems with fire type attacks even with Kingdra. If you are, I would suggest running Snorlax. I know that you would be left without rocks, so you can switch Hitmontop with something else. It really depends what is more important to you; rocks or Rapid Spin. Seeing that your team is more offensively based, I would stick with Rapid Spin because the extra 12% won't help out your team as much as saving another switch-in will.

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Trait- Thick Fat
Body Slam
Whirlwind
Rest
Sleep Talk
252 hp/ 4 atk/ 252 sdf
+sdf/-spa nature

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely try it out and yes I do agree with you about using Rapid Spin over Rocks. Your reasoning makes perfect sense.

Actually, what do you think of specially defensive swampert? He can resist fire types, lay out rocks, and most people probably won't see a specially defensive bulky water type coming.

That really depends on if you want to have rocks or if you want your special wall to stay alive. I say this because Swampert doesn't have any form of reliable recovery, and Snorlax still takes Fire hits far superior to Swampert. Since your team seems to be more offensively based, I would still suggest Snorlax because setting up rocks kills momentum hard.
