It was a late night at the Marriland forums. I had signed up for a tournament, and the creator asked me to complete my battle with my opponent. Since there was nothing else to do, I decided to try to complete it. I contacted my opponent, Squirtle_Masta, and I prepared myself for the battle, assembling my team. I knew it would be a tough opponent, as he was a “Marriland Donor”, which is similar to getting a badge over here at Smogon. I knew my opponent would be intelligent, but I didn’t know it would be such a great match.
I did record this and put it on Youtube. The reason I made this battle into a warstory was because nobody understood the meaning of each move, unless someone is there to explain it. So this is basically me explaining the battle… In style. :D

I take the time to set up Stealth Rock.

He knows my only way I can deal with Ape is my Crobat, which resists Close Combat x4. However, he has an idea of my prediction level, and so Flamethrower is the obvious choice, right? No, he knows I’m trying to be one step ahead of him, so I would keep in Blissey to take the Flamethrower, and I really can’t risk Crobat dying right now.

Aha! This confirms my suspicion of ScarfGar. Since he slept first, I knew it was Scarfed. On top of that, my only safe switch in on Gengar is gone, so this Hypnosis is huge. I have to play this very carefully.
