With the combination of Sheer Force + Life Orb and its enormous Special Attack stat, Thundurus-T is able to blast through virtually anything, including common special walls such as Heatran, RegenVest Manaphy, and Roaring Moon. Focus Blast snipes the aforementioned Roaring Moon as well as Electric-immune foes such as Ting-Lu, Volt Absorb Corviknight, and Empoleon. Psychic lets Thundurus-T further threaten Fighting-types such as Great Tusk, Iron Hands, and Zamazenta, while Dark Pulse targets bulky Gholdengo and Latios and deals hefty damage to Bulletproof Iron Treads, which is otherwise a huge nuisance. Agility is what truly takes this a step beyond, as after a boost, Thundurus-T is able to outspeed virtually the entire metagame, preventing revenge killers such as Deoxys-S, Choice Scarf Gholdengo, and Roaring Moon from outpacing and KOing it. Entry hazard support from teammates such as Ting-Lu, Skarmory, and Hisuian Samurott is crucial, as they help annoy Swampert on top of letting Thundurus-T pick up crucial KOs such as 2HKOing Iron Treads with Dark Pulse and OHKOing Heatran with Focus Blast after a layer of Spikes.
