Zarude pairs well with allies like Zamazenta that can get rid of Roaring Moon and Kingambit. Zapdos is also a good partner, as it can check fast Fire-types like Cinderace and Iron Moth as well as Corviknight, which is Zarude's best check. Ground-weak allies like Gholdengo, Iron Hands, and Pecharunt appreciate Zarude's Grassy Surge, which weakens Earthquake from Great Tusk, Roaring Moon, and Landorus-T.

Grassy terrain getting replaced almost never matters in practice so its kinda weird to mention latios, instead of something like corv which is the number 1 answer
