[SET COMMENTS]
Abomasnow, when paired with Choice Specs, becomes one of the most difficult Pokemon to switch into in the RU tier. Abomasnow is able to get past many of the tier walls due to its excellent coverage and ability to negate Leftovers with Hail. Abomasnow's dual STAB coverage is only resisted in the tier by Steel and Fire-types, many of which do not appreciate switching into Abomasnows other coverage moves while taking Hail chips. Earth Power itself is excellent coverage as it hits those aforementioned Steel and Fire types that like to try and switch into Abomasnow, such as Copperajah, Salazzle, and Ninetales. Alternatively, Focus Blast provides the same coverage against Steel types, while providing super effective coverage against Abomasnow's most common switchin, Snorlax. Giga Drain is a secondary Grass STAB that gives Abomasnow a bit of longevity while also allowing Abomasnow to stay in after clicking its STAB move in a trade off for significantly less initial power. The Speed EVs allow for Abomasnow to outpace Claydol and OHKO it with Leaf Storm.
Abomasnow weakness to all forms of hazards means it absolutely needs removal support if it is going to be effective, so Pokemon like Charizard and Cramorant are excellent teammates. Charizard specifically is one of Abomasnow's best partners, as it can remove hazards and pressure many of the Steel types that Abomasnow normally has to predict around. Charizard also appreciates Abomasnow's ability to remove bulky Water-types, as do other Fire-types like Ninetales and Salazzle. Abomasnow also has a tough time switching in due to its plethora of weaknesses, so U-turn and Volt Switch support from Pokemon like Alolan Raichu, Vikavolt, and Passimian. This biggest of these weaknesses is of course, Fire-types. As such, Water type teammates like Vaporeon and Gastrodon make for excellent partners to Abomasnow. If not running Focus Blast, Abomasnow has a lot of trouble breaking Snorlax, so teammates that can swich-in easily and handle it such as Bewear, Sableye, and Curse Steelix are greatly appreciated.

move 2: Wood Hammer
move 3: Earthquake

[SET COMMENTS]
Mixed Abomasnow has a solid niche in RU by being able to take advantage of many of the tiers staple bulky Pokemon, such as Vileplume, Vaporeon, and Gastrodon, while not having to stuffed by Protect. Heavy-Duty Boots removes Abomasnow's Stealth Rock weakness, giving it more chances to switch in and making it not have to rely on Defog or Rapid Spin support to be effective. Abomasnow dual STAB is incredibly difficult for much of the tier to switch into, and Abomasnow's ability to switch moves gives it a chance break past the Ice resists that commonly switch in. Earthquake is a solid coverage option that catches many of Abomasnow's switch-ins such as Coalossal, Copperajah and Ninetales. Ice Shard gives Abomasnow a chance to pick off some of the tiers cleaners if they are weakened, including Virizion, Braviary, and Rillaboom. Alternatively, Rock Slide can be used to lure in Charizard, a relatively safe Abomasnow switch-in. The EV spread allows you to 2HKO Max Defense invested Vaporeon with Wood Hammer while outpacing Claydol.
Abomasnow is able to take advantage of many of the tier's Water, Ground, and Grass-types. This makes teammates that struggle to break them, such as Charizard, Rotom-N, and Passimian, solid partners to Abomasnow. Snorlax is the Pokemon that gives the set the most issues, as even with Wood Hammer Abomasnow struggles to secure a 3HKO, so Pokemon that switch into it with ease, like Steelix, Vileplume, or Bewear are necessary partners. Due to this Abomasnow set being quite a bit weaker than Specs, Abomasnow also appreciates Spikes and T-Spikes support to break past Pokemon like Steelix and Jellicent, which makes Garbodor an excellent partners. After securing a KO, Abomasnow often invites in the plethora of Fighting and Fire-types in the tier, so having good switch-ins to them, such as Snorlax, Weezing, and Jellicent is valuable. Fire-types specifically are the probably the biggest headaches for Abomasnow, so support from Water-types that can switch in and support Abomasnow such as Stealth Rock Drednaw, Jellicent, and Vaporeon are all greatly appreciated.
