INTRO
Hello and welcome to another of my RMT’s :). Let’s get straight into it. Through either absolutely forgetting or just being completely unaware due to the lack of use, Abomasnow is UU 0_0. Being new news to me, and through having read through some other Hail RMT’s for UU, I have seen that they manage to perform extremely well! So I decided I would try to give one a shot! I have to admit it sure needs tweaking here and there, but it has to be one of my favourite and more ‘better’ teams out of those I manage to build myself ^_^. Hence, here it is!...

THE TEAM
494.gif

Victini @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- V-create
- Bolt Strike
- Zen Headbutt
- U-turn

Victini’s ultimate role is to both be a scout, and probably the most powerful revenge killer in UU with STAB V-Create. Victini fits this role of a revenge killer perfectly, despite the stealth rock weakness. It is also often more or less viewed as the lead most often played, similarly to a Mienshao, Ambipom or Frosslass on a team, meaning I can usually send out the counter to what they wish to counter a 'predictable' Victini lead with. Victini, with Zen Headbutt, provides some coverage vs most of the fighting types, which you will see cause the team quite the issue. Otherwise Victini, does what Victini do, and blast V-Creates at the opponents team wearing them down! Counters on the opponents team to constant V-Creates include; Snorlax, Chandelure, Bulky water types, Gligar to an extent, defensive Arcanine, and surprisingly Houndoom. Most of these can be covered with team support, or through playing around cleverly.

Yukinooh (Abomasnow) @ Leftovers
Trait: Snow Warning
EVs: 192 HP / 204 Spd / 60 Def / 52 SDef
Calm Nature
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain
- Leech Seed
- Substitute

I actually really enjoy this set of Abomasnow, since it allows me to come in on any bulky water types and proceed to setup a sub-seeding abomasnow! Though he doesn’t pack as much of a punch due to no SpA investment, he still manages to support the team with leech seed phenomenally, Substitute also causing some nice pressure since nothing wants to take a Blizzard at the risk of being frozen, abide Bronzong and Registeel. Otherwise he makes for a nice pivot in this team to most pokemon that enjoy coming out on Gligar/Victini.

615.gif

Furiijio (Cryogonal) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 98 Spd / 252 HP / 158 SDef
Modest Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic
- Blizzard
- Recover

This guy has to be my favourite member of the team by far :), his spinning prowess almost un-rivalled!. It can come in on just about any Hazard setter (abide Bronzong/Registeel) and proceed to do work. Since they presume I would spin 1st turn (due to 3 pokes having a weakness to SR) you can more often than not predict a switch in to a spin blocker. Should it be Cofagrigus, Cryognal can actually beat it out 2HKO'ing with Blizzard. Should Chandelure decide to come out, Snorlax makes his debute by effectively trapping and ensuring it never sees the light of day again. The speed EV's may seem rather wierd, but they actually just allow me to outspeed Modest Nidoking/Queen, allowing for the follow up Blizzard to cause some massive damage.

--> 0+ SpA Cryogonal Blizzard vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Nidoqueen: 312-368 (81.25 - 95.83%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
(Blizzard affecting a Bulky Defensive Nidoqueen, if it isn't bulky, it is an OHKO)

--> 0+ SpA Cryogonal Blizzard vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Nidoking: 342-404 (112.87 - 133.33%) -- guaranteed OHKO
(Blizzard vs a Life Orb Nidoking set, ensuring for an easy OHKO)

You may be wondering, well what happens if the Nidoking/Queen IS a timid variant. Well I can actually live a Fire blast, and counter with a Blizzard (perhaps not OHKO'ing Queen) and still dealing massive damage, or OHKO'ing in Nidoking's case. However, I can only live a Fire Blast assuming Cryognal isn't weakened by the presence of Stealth Rocks, still proving that they are difficult to play around and posing a threat to this team.

Guraiga (Gligar) @ Eviolite
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Aerial Ace
- Earthquake

Every team needs some form of a counter to those heavy Physical attackers that plague the tier, most notably; Flygon, Victini, Darmanitan, Mienshao, and Heracross. With the double STAB set, you can actually hit back or hit hard on the switches 4 of 5 of these mons. Of course he is my only hazard bringer since I am opting not to run Frosslass and can perform the bulky defensive role rather well for my team :)

143.gif

Kabigon (Snorlax) @ Choice Band
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Return
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

Snorlax's only real fit on this team, is its ability to trap/destroy Chandelure switch in's to Cryognal. I would opt to switch Snorlax to Porygon2, since he can reliably recover off any Hail residual damage, while still providing an effective counter-measure to Chandelure, whom can otherwise destory unprepared teams. He does, however, provide some nice synergy with Gligar, cushioning special Ice type attacks directed towards him, and retaliating effectively. Again, he is something I would consider changing due to him proving to be fodder more than effective in more than enough situations/battles.

245.gif

Suikun (Suicune) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SDef
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Scald

Suicune. Wat r u doin. Suicine. Stahp! That describes Suicune in a nutshell. It sweeps teams. Crocune is absolutely one of the best pokemon to use as a bulky water type in the UU metagame since it has a fairly reliable recovery (probably second best to Recover Milotic), and the ability to set up a calm mind or two and proceed to dominate. Suicune can also take most physical attacks rather well, not taking anywhere below 50%, crucial to continuing the setup of Calm Mind mayhem. Scald is also a nice touch apart from surf, offering a meagre -5% power, and a 30% chance to burn 0_0 I mean, who doesn’t want that?

THREAT LIST

492.png

ZAPDOS: This guy is a premier threat to my team. A simple 3 move movest can demolish and un-hinge everything I have built! Snorlax is my only decent counter to it, dealing respectable damage with Return, otherwise any other suggestions to beat it out would be great :)

SCRAFTY: As you can see, I can't stop him, apart from Victini, who can outspeed even after 2 Dragon Dances, and proceed to only deal, 80-94% with a V-Create :I. To make matters worse, if it is a bulk up set, and manages to set up, I may as well forfeit the game lol, any suggestions to beat him are needed despite him being uncommon for some reason lol.

RAIKOU: I thought I should post Raikou up anyway, since there's a trick to play around him I use. Should Raikou come in on Gligar, I can assume he is packing Hp Ice, should come in on Snorlax, I can assume he has Aura Sphere, by using this method and double switching to scout, I can usually uncover which move he has, and counter accordingly.

NIDOKING/QUEEN: As I previously mentioned, I can defeat non-Timid sets of either fairly well. However should Cryognal fail to check either, they can prove to be enormous threats to my team. The only backup plan to dealing with them are Victini/Snorlax, whom can't be as effective if the opponent decides to play them 'smartly'.

SHAYMIN: I'm not sure if it actually effects the team, I just have a personal hatred towards this thing hahaha. It hits hard, it lowers your special defence, and there my Cryognal can't do much to counter it. I can hit it hard with Victini/Cryognal regardless, but it is fairly effective vs a majority of my pokes.

CONCLUSION

Thanks to anyone who took the time to read through this RMT! I am always free to any criticism or feedback anyone may have :) whether they be first time raters, or veterans haha, I am always open for differing opinions! The exportable will be below :) thanks again!

Trade out cyrogonal for Hitmontop. A physically defesnive set with intimidate consiting of 252 HP / 252 Def with an Impish nature. This allows you to check scrafty rather well. A set of CC / Foresight / SE / Rapid Spin would be best. This minimizes the rock-type weakness. ns your team, as cryo does absolutely nothing for your team.

Next is to trade out suicune for CB Swampert as it can beat Zapdos and Raikou fairly easily. 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4. Def with a set consisting of Waterfall / Earthquake / Super Power / Ice Punch.

GL!

Edit: On second thought, forget all the above changes. All you have to do to fix all the holes in your team is to swap out suicune for physically defensive Unaware quagsire. Quagy beats scrafty, zapdos, and raikou courtesy of its typing and ability! A set with a Bold nature consisting of 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD with Scald / Blizzard / Recover / Toxic would be best.

Now that's the kind of feedback i'm talking about :)
At first I'll admit I thought the changes were a bit much haha, but hey that simple switch seems to work! It most definitely beats out Zapdos/Raikou (without the need for guesswork) and Scrafty!! Two of the teams most dreaded pokes, thanks a ton for your input man, you've improved the team enormously!!

Switching giga drain for seed bomb on abomasnow might work beating subcm Raikou. Also, you could try chesto resto Snorlax, rest could go over ice punch or earthquake. This allows you to switch into zapdos, shaymin and the nido's more often. As last change i suggest roar over calm mind on Suicune. This helps against Scrafty.

Hi and thanks for rating Exotic :)! I'll admit at some stage I was considering putting Roar on suicune, since it alone helped deal with opponent Crocunes, and pretty much any other setup poke, like Scrafty that you mentioned. I like the idea of chesto-resto lax, since it at least gives it some form of recovery, that which it severely lacked, and based on experience, a t-bolt from Zapdos does approx 30% to Snorlax, so something along those lines could prove to be pretty nice! I would prefer to keep giga drain on Abomasnow though, since it can hit any bulky water type harder since they all pack defence opposed to SpecD, otherwise it most certainly is an idea I would keep in mind :)
again, thanks for having a go at rating my team!

Cool team! There's one more threat that you didn't address; scarf mienshao. He can u turn on victini and trap with houndooms pursuit while you try to v create or zen headbutt. Scarf shao can ko abomasnow, cryogonal and snorlax with hjk. Hp ice demolishes gligar. Also, I find that if victini is gone, bronzong is a pain as you said. Im agreeing with the above post on hitmontop > cryogonal. Hitmontop can also stop heracross and rhyperior.

May I make a suggestion of fire punch over ice punch on snorlax to hit bronzong better?

Other than that you have a good team!

Nice ideas! I always thought I lacked anything to hit Bronzong/Registeel hard enough with abide Victini, and honestly didn't want to think how the battle would turn without it hahaha! I'm wary to change Cryo<Top since in hail, even with rest, his recovery options aren't quite the best, also then the Nido duo could cause more havoc then they already do >.< I guess test/try is the only way! Also Fire Punch on Snorlax is a great idea, in fact im changing that to the team right away :) I'll also fix the importable to have Quagsire on board as well! Hmmm hp ice Mienshao, now it's mentioned, is a beast to the team. I guess with Quagsire it can be dealt with a little easier I suppose, but point being a backup plan should always be ready, therefore I'll give Top a good run on the team to see how he fares :)
Thanks for rating my team man much appreciated :)

EDIT: Nm it won't let me change around the exportable haha :) you'd have to physically make any changes yourself, but if you do try it out and make changes, let me now!! :)
