Absolute power!- A UU RMT (note- aforementioned title may be a bit exaggerated)

Hi guys! I've created this team to have a go at the UU tier. I have a little experience in this tier, and I hope that I can get a bit more success with this team than my earlier ones. As you will know, Mienshao just dropped down from OU, and so I wanted to make a team based around him and CB Azumarill. So, seen here is a quick preview:

And the team:

620.gif

Mienshao (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Hi Jump Kick
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

Mienshao is usually used as a lead. Fake Out is useful to get a bit of prior damage, Hi Jump Kick is STAB, U-Turn to get regenerator recovery and heal Life Orb and Hi Jump Kick recoil. Stone edge is there for additional coverage, getting rid of Flying and Bug Types . Anyway, the set and EV spread are just standard, and work very well. This is probably one of the better pokemon on my team.

184.gif

Azumarill (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 248 HP / 4 SDef / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Return
- Ice Punch

Another completely standard Poke, Azumarill is posibly the best wallbreaker/revenge killer in the tier. You may have noticed the 4 EVs in Special Defense- I moved them from HP so as to prevent Download Pokemon from getting a special attack boost. Aqua Jet is the best move on this set, giving priority, and, thanks to Huge Power, doing massive damage in the process. Aqua Jet is all Azumarill usually uses, but the other three moves are there just in case.

082.gif

Magneton @ Choice Specs
Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon

Magnezone does a great job of a Steel killer in OU, so why can't its little brother Magneton do the same in UU? Magneton is alone a great special attacker- Choice Specs Thunderbolt from 120 base attack would obviously hurt quite a bit. Hidden Power Ice gives Pseudo-Boltbeam coverage, Volt Switch to escape and enemy and deal damage, and flash Cannon is really just a filler. I don't know why this guy isn't seen on more teams, but he works perfectly on mine.

145.gif

Zapdos @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Roar

Zapdos is my secondary Special Attacker. He hits almost everything hard, leaving plenty of room for my other mons to clean up. He synergises nicely with my team, patching up quite a few gaps in my defense. Thunderbolt is for STAB, of course, Heat Wave to hit Steels and Grass types, and HP Grass OHKOs Swampert. Roar is to Phaze, as my team has a bit of trouble with Substitute users and can also destroy baton passers.

330.gif

Flygon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- U-turn
- Fire Punch

Yet another Pokemon that seems to show up too much in UU is Flygon. He is greatly valued on my team as a strong revenge killer, although he can also sweep if given the chance. Earthquake and Outrage are for STAB, U-turn to scout and Fire Punch as filler. Pretty much the only thing he is scared of is Weavile's Ice Shard, and even then most Weavile I see run Ice Punch instead. Other than that, he can tear my opponent's team apart, and as such is probably irreplacable on this team

407f.gif

Roserade (F) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SDef
Calm Nature
- Spikes
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Rest

Roserade is the Standard Spiker set, but it rarely appears early in the game. Still, her entry hazards are greatly appreciated by this team, easily opening up holes for my sweepers to do their job. With the given EVs, Roserade is surprisingly bulky, and pretty much glues this team together. She has just enough bulk to survive unboosted Porygon2's Ice Beam, which is helpful, and the occasional poison from Sludge Bomb can greatly annoy my opponents.

Hi, looks like a fairly rock solid team, however i just want to make a few suggestions and you may use them at your discretion.

You're pretty right on about Mienshao, you should definitely replace HP ice with Stone edge and it should have a Jolly nature not hasy. Other than that set looks pretty good. EDIT: the 4 SpA ev's should be replaced with hp.

Azumaril is fine. Also i never see Azumaril, not that it's bad or anything, i just havn't seen it. So kudos.

Magneton isn't bad, but i feel using the Magnet family should be restricted to Magnezone in OU (i'm discounting magnemite in LC). In it's NFE form, it's 120 SpA is attractive, but it's real only purpose is Magnet Pull and if your opponent doesn't have a steel type, then it's a waste. Now i'm slightly Biased towards this pokemon myself, but I would suggest this Galvantula set, who albeit is fragile, but is much better as a special sweeper and hits like a truck. It also has HP ice so you're not losing coverage either
Galvantula @ Life Orb
QkqLZ.gif

Ability: Compound Eyes
Nature: Modest
Ev's: 252 SpA 252 spe 4 hp
Moves:
Thunder
Volt Switch/Hidden Power [ice]
Giga Drain
Bug Buzz

Roost on Zapdos is a decent choice, but i'm merely going to throw Roar out there, since you don't have any psuedo hazes, it ruins subpass sets and potential smashpass sets as well. however since you're losing your only form of recovery, I would recommend replacing the LO with leftovers.

Flygon is fine.

Roserade is mostly set, however i would recommend synthesis over Rest because even though you have natural cure, you're bait for shadow tag or other methods of trapping and 2 guaranteed turns of sleep leaves you wide open even despite black sludge.

All in all a fairly strong RMT. GL!

Thanks, but Galvantula is just way too frail. Also without Magneton my team is full of holes in its defense, so I don't really want to replace it.
The move changes are good though

Hey there man. This is quite a nice team you have here. However, there are one or two weaknesses.

Firstly, that Magneton set won't work particularly well. First off, Bronzong is the only steel type worth trapping, since Flygon has EQ against Empoleon and Registeel. However, Bronzong gets an easy 1HKO against Magneton with Earthquake, while Magneton fails to do so back. If Bronzong invests in defense, then Magneton won't even get a 2HKO with Specs Tbolt. To be fair, your team doesn't need Magneton at all-only Flygon gets walled by Bronzong, and Zapdos and Mienshao and Azumarill all have the ability to 2HKO him.

IMO, Roserade also doesn't fit that well on your team. For sure, it can get down spikes very well, but it also lets Chandelure come in for free-something your team can't afford. Magneton is your only ghost resist, while Flygon and Azumarill are your only fire resists. Safe to say, Chandelure can knock out your team 1 by 1 if it comes in on Roserade.

Since Magneton is not needed, and Roserade is too defensive and brings in Chandelure and other fire types that can destroy you(LO Darmanitan can also destroy your team pretty easily), I recommend using Shaymin over Magneton, and then Froslass over Roserade. Shaymin certainly does not lure in Chandelure thanks to Earth Power, and is incredibly hard to counter with Spikes support. Froslass would be the lead, and can get up Spikes pretty damn easily. If you would prefer both Spikes and Stealth Rock, then Smeargle, Crustle and Omastar are some other options. Out of these, Froslass is the most reliable. The others all fall to a specific lead quite easily(although Smeargle can run Magic Coat for Froslass). Final nitpick: run HP Ice over Fake Out on Mienshao. Fake Out is terrible on Mienshao, and HP Ice allows it to smash past Gligar. With Froslass, you should be able to run Roost over Roar on Zapdos. This gives you better longevity in switching in on Mienshao and Heracross, and Froslass can stop most Baton Pass chains easily. HP Ice over HP Grass is another option you could try-as it stops Flygon coming in for free on Zapdos, and Shaymin handles Zapdos's counters easily.

Here are the Shaymin and Froslass sets:

Shaymin @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 32 HP / 252 SAtk / 220 Spd / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Seed Flare
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Earth Power
- Synthesis

Froslass (F) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Spikes
- Ice Beam
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball

GL and hope I helped.

Your team seems cool, but it has quite a few problems that need to be fixed. The team has a huge weakness to Fighting-type pokemon, because your only sort of counter, Zapdos, is weak to Stealth Rock, which means Mienshao and Heracross won't have any trouble taking Zapdos down with their coverage move. The other problems are the lack of a Stealth Rock settler and lacking a proper counter to electric types; Raikou is especially dangerous because it can simply set up on Roserade and Magneton unlike the rest. As for Stealth Rock, it doesn't make much sense to use Spikes and not Stealth Rock on a team, because, simply put, Stealth Rock is better than Spikes because it hits every pokemon in the game, keeps in check dangerous threats like Darmanitan, Chandelure or Zapdos and is much faster to set up. While Silvershadow's ideas seem decent to fix some of your problems (especially the Fighting-type pokemon one), I have some suggestions to cover the flaws your team has.

What I think would be the best way of improving your team would be using Swampert instead of Azumarill and Offensive Cofagrigus instead of Magneton. Although Azumarill gave your team a strong hitter and priority user, Swampert fits your team much better for a couple of reasons. First, it can set up Stealth Rock, which helps your sweepers to tear holes on opposing teams, and also keeps in check threatening pokemon like Chandelure. Secondly, Swampert is inmune to Electric-type moves, which means that, when coupled with Flygon, they can stop any Electric-type pokemon in the metagame (as they can't have both Hidden Power Ice and Hidden Power Grass, obviously). I know you are a bit iffy about replacing Magneton with Cofagrigus (or anything for that matter) because Magneton ''is the defensive backbone of the team'', however, this is not quite true. Despite Magneton great set of resistances, its poor defensive stats simply don't cut it down, even more considering it has no investment on defenses, which means Magneton will get 2HKOed even by resisted hits, such as LO Zapdos Thunderbolt (Thunderbolt: 54.95 - 64.46%) or Special Kingdra versions (Draco Meteor: 72.72 - 85.53%, Dragon Pulse: 47.1 - 55.78%). For this reason, Cofagrigus would be a much better pokemon for your team, as it doesn't just stop the Fighting-type pokemon your team is weak to, but it can also fill the role of a spinblocker (preventing the opponent from removing the Spikes/Stealth Rock layers that you have set up) and it can even act as a sweeper, courtesy of Trick Room and Nasty Plot.

Sets:

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 Def / 240 HP / 16 SDef
Relaxed Nature
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Roar / Protect

Cofagrigus @ Leftovers
Trait: Mummy
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Quiet Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Trick Room

Hm. Fairly nice team here. I'm going to agree with Destiny Unknown and say Magneton isn't really defensive for your team. However, I know a pokemon who has quite a few good resistances like Magneton, but is immune to ground, resists fire, and not weak to fighting, who commonly runs a specs set: Rotom-H!!!

Rotom-H is simply amazing, at least in my experience. Here's a basic Specs set:
Rotom-H@Choice Specs
Nature: Timid/Modest
EVs: 252spatk,252speed
-Overheat
-Thunderbolt
-Volt Switch
-Hp Ground/Trick/Other suitable HP

HP ground is what I use, because of Raikou and other electric types, as well as for non-scarf Chandys that think they outspeed, for whatever reason. but you can use Trick there, or whatever HP you want. Mind you, HP grass usually fails to OHKO swampert, somehow, iirc. HP ice is a maybe, I guess, If you come in on an EQ-locked Flygon... but w/e. Rotom-H can't really trap steels, you can bet he can take them out. Only things you really need to watch out for is Cobalion's Stone Edge, and boosted Bisharps Sucker Punch (Although Mienshao's better for that)

And also, your team seems to be a bit hazards weak, which is fine, a ton of teams are. I know this is a main part of your team, and I think this may be a stretch, And Azumarill is great, but I was thinking possibly Blastoise over Azumarill.
I know what you're thinking: Whuuuuut??? but there is an offensive Blastoise set, if you want it. I use it on my more offesnive team, and it's usually fine for my momentum.
And plus, this way, you can have a spinner! woohoo! This is the basic set, for offensive. Of course, a defensive set is usually fine too.

Offensive:
Item: Lefties
252spatk/252speed
Timid
-Rapid Spin
-Hydro Pump (Scald is usable here, but it's really meh in my opinion)
-Ice Beam
-HP Electric (basically just coverage, especially on other water types. plus Pseudo bolt-beam)
Uninvested blastoise is fairly bulky, and will usually be fine in taking a hit. However, be very careful of status.

For defensive set, just use the Smogon Standard.

Continuing on, I see your Roserade is sortof a momentum killer. I suggest you either switch it for something or change its set. If you want to switch, look for something that can set Rocks (there's too many options for me to simply specify), and maybe can keep some kind of presence. If not, I would say make it a more offensive set that abuses Sleep Powder. Basically,
Max Speed/Spatk, Timid, Life Orb, LeafStorm/SleepPowder/SludgeBomb/Rest or Synthesis. I think that's the standard set.

TL;DR version:
Rotom-H > Magneton: both have a ton of good resistances, Rotom-H runs better specs set.
Blastoise > Azu: A Spinner is great, always, and there is such a thing as an offensive blastoise.
Different Rose set/Rose replacement that can set Rocks: this is just to help your momentum and your team's main idea. the really bulky Roserade you're using now is for more balanced/Defensive teams.

Well, That's All I really have to say. Hopefully I don't make your team too terrible! D:!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
