Partially Approved Adding spritework to the News section

Currently the News tab on PS! is very bland and has been for several years now, so much so that despite being on ps! pretty much every day I miss a majority of what's written in there. Adding a spritework to each news slot would add some level of visual flair that would make the news slot more eye-catching, on top of making it more obvious when a news slot has just been replaced (the orange coloring blends in so well that you don't even question it if you see it).
It would also open up more space for spriters to contribute to the site, given that they can currently only do so through custom avatars.

There's the concern of space given ads and multiple news slots and dms all go there, but if possible I think having news be multiple tabs/pages is a positive change, both because it would save space even with the artwork but because it opens up to unlimited news slot and even using that space for more than just news, like information and announcements. It would help modernize the look of ps even if just a little bit.

I was made aware by Hecate and Marty that this is by design and that it wouldn't be accepted, so given that space is a definite issue, I suggest a different approach with a smaller, 96x96 artwork being placed on the side of the text, like so:

This way the increase in length would only be marginal and it would still give more visual flair and a more immediately clear indicator of the fact that the event changed and what the event is. Note that I mocked this up quickly so the font I used is much taller and has more spacing between lines, so the increase in height would be even smaller than this.
This artwork would be optional to include and the news slot would remain the same if an artwork is not provided, which would reward hosts that spend more time sorting out details and make carefully thought out events pop out more.

I talked it over with the person who runs the news. We're not going to go with the artwork option (too much clutter and doesn't look great), but we'll add support for minisprites in post bodies at the discretion of the requester. Additionally, I'll look into making the 'new post' styling a little more obvious.

If someone else would like to make a PR for either of these, feel free, otherwise I will attend to it when I have the time.
