[SET COMMENTS]
Voltorb is a good revenge killer, wallbreaker, and potential cleaner thanks to its high damage output with moves like Explosion and its speed. Hidden Power Ice hits the Grass- and Ground-types that would otherwise resist Voltorb's Thunderbolt, notably Gloom and Cubone. Explosion is a great burst damage option that lets Voltorb break through special walls and get in an ally for free. The combination of Substitute and Petaya Berry lets Voltorb become even more scary, boosting its Special Attack to points where it can nearly always OHKO uninvested Tropius with Hidden Power Ice and Corsola with Thunderbolt. Substitute also lets Voltorb scout for potential switches. A Naive nature lets Voltorb avoid an OHKO from Tropius's Earthquake without lowering its power and speed.

Offensive Voltorb finds itself on hyper offense and offense teams. thanks to its wallbreaking capabilities, Voltorb is able to create holes in the opposing team for sweepers like Beedrill and Anorith to clean up. Voltorb is able to set itself apart from other fast attackers by threatening Water-types. However, Voltorb does struggle with lots of Pokemon that other fast attackers like Ponyta and Anorith. Most importantly, Voltorb takes care of the Water-types in the tier. Voltorb, however, still loses to Electric-type resists and immunities such as the aforementioned Gloom and Chinchou respectively, as they are able to easily take even a boosted Hidden Power Ice and force Voltorb to the to use Explosion. Partners that can threaten these bulky Grass- and Electric-types such as Beedrill and Cubone greatly benefit Voltorb. Chlorophyll and Swift Swim boosted Pokemon such as Tropius and Seaking are also struggles for Voltorb, as most are able to outspeed and deal good damage to Voltorb. Ponyta is a very good check into most Grass-types that resist Thunderbolt, hitting hard and fast with Fire Blast. Seaking, on the other hand, deal with the rarer Ground-types like Rhyhorn and Onix, while strong physical attackers like Beedrill and Anorith can deal with Chinchou, once they are set up. Using bulky yet still strong Pokemon such as Mightyena and the aforementioned Seaking can help deal with most weather sweepers, eating a hit and retaliating hard.

Moves such as Light Screen, Toxic, and Thunder Wave can lend Voltorb a more supportive option, but it means that Voltorb must drop either a great offensive tool or a otherwise better utility tool. Voltorb can also drop some Speed for more Attack to beef up Explosion, but this will mean that Voltorb will always lose in the mirror matchup.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Grass-types**: With their high bulk, Pokemon like Gloom and Lileep can easily switch in on a Electric-type attack or Hidden Power, meaning Voltorb must use Explosion to break through them. Lileep in particular threatens Voltorb, as it resists Explosion.

**Special Walls**: Special Walls such as Porygon and Delcatty force Voltorb to use Explosion to break through them.

**Ground-types**: Without Hidden Power Water or Ice, Ground-types like Rhyhorn and Cubone become very difficult for Voltorb to deal with.

**Electric-types**: Due to Chinchou's ability Volt Absorb and other Electric-type's resistance to Thunderbolt, Voltorb has virtually no way of hitting them outside of Explosion. Magnemite leads to even more trouble, resisting Explosion.

Voltorb is a potent (potent is a little overselling Voltorb, which is just good at best, so consider changing the word choice here) revenge killer, (AC) wallbreaker and potential cleaner thanks to its high damage output (It would be good to be more specific bc Voltorb's Tbolt isn't super strong on its own and a lot of its threat comes from Explosion, so mention that) and speed. Thunderbolt is the main STAB option of choice, being overall more consistent than Thunder (RP) (You don't need to explain basic STAB moves in analyses) Hidden Power Ice hits the Grass- and Ground-types that would otherwise resist Voltorb's Thunderbolt, notably Gloom, Tropius (Trop takes neutral damage, ig you can mention that it hits it for 4x damage), and Cubone. Explosion is a great burst damage option that (emphasize that Explosion is for wallbreaking and mention some special walls it beats) lets Voltorb get in an ally for free. (Add that Sub helps Voltorb by scouting switches) The combination of Substitute and Petaya Berry lets Voltorb become even more scary, boosting its Special Attack to points where it can nearly always OHKO uninvested Tropius with Hidden Power Ice and Corsola with Thunderbolt. The EV spread aims for as much damage as possible, using an A Naive nature to lets Voltorb avoid an OHKO from Tropius's Earthquake without lowering its power and Speed.

Offensive Voltorb finds itself on many types of teams, but most notably are more offensively oriented hyper offense and offense teams (RC). (AP) as (Restructure this next part into two sentences on Voltorb distinguishing itself by threatening Water-types, which otherwise better fast attackers don't, but be careful about making it seem like Voltorb is better overall than any of these Pokemon) Voltorb is able to pressure a vast majority of the meta that other Pokemon like Ponyta and Anorith can't. Most importantly, Voltorb takes care of the Water-types in the tier. Voltorb, however, still loses to Electric-type resists such as the aforementioned Gloom and Chinchou (Chinchou is immune), as they are able to easily take even a boosted Hidden Power Ice (I wouldn't phrase this as Voltorb losing outright, more that it has to explode. Mention some partners here that can check bulky Grass- and Electric-types if you're going to bring up this downside to Voltorb here too). Chlorophyll and Swift Swim boosted Pokemon (mention a couple) are also struggles for Voltorb, as most are able to outspeed and deal good damage to Voltorb. (Since Voltorb is a wallbreaker, mention some Pokemon that benefit from the holes it breaks in certain cores)

(Add a section on special walls like Porygon, Delcatty, etc)

**ChinchouElectric-types**: Due to Chinchou's ability Volt Absorb, Voltorb has virtually no way of hitting Chinchou outside of Explosion. (Mention that Magnemite beats Voltorb 1v1 and Flaaffy can force it to explode)

Voltorb is a good revenge killer, wallbreaker, and potential cleaner thanks to its high damage output with moves like Explosion and its speed (i would personally recommend saying "its ability to outspeed the entire metagame" though. makes more sense when you have your two listed points have an even amount written by them instead of saying "its high damage output with moves like Explosion" and then just "its speed" for the second part. kind of like how the last sentence in this paragraph ends with "its speed and power" which are both short. does that make sense? if not then dm me). Substitute also lets Voltorb scout for potential switches and status moves.

However, Voltorb does struggle with lots of Pokemon that other fast attackers like Ponyta and Anorith (what can help take these on?). Most importantly, Voltorb takes care of the Water-types in the tier (this is redundant since you mention it above. can remove either sentence). Voltorb, however, still loses to Electric-type resists and immunities such as the aforementioned Gloom and Chinchou respectively, as they are able to easily take even a boosted Hidden Power Ice and force Voltorb to the to use Explosion. Partners that can threaten these bulky Grass- and Electric-types such as Beedrill and Cubone (Cubone doesn't really matchup into chinchou well as a specific mention, maybe use onix as an example or swap chinchou to like flaafy) greatly benefit Voltorb. This section is a bit of a mess. It would be good to refer to some writing miss or zpice has done to see what the formatting for this paragraph is supposed to look like. you kind of jump around a bit and some sentences seem out of place. let me know in dms if i can help with this directly, i would be happy to help. it really should be like = mention teams it works on, teammates that it needs to help cover defensive mons that wall it + things that offensively threaten it. then teammates who may thrive off of the wallbreaking voltorb can do + teammates who can break down the defensive walls that voltorb struggles into so it can clean games, etc (a lot of these defensive checks it needs to overcome should be stuff mentioned in checks and counters section too)

Moves such as Light Screen, Toxic, and Thunder Wave can lend Voltorb a more supportive option, but it means that Voltorb must drop either a great offensive tool or a otherwise better utility tool (which tool would it normall drop? that would be good to mention for the reader). Voltorb can also drop some Speed for more Attack to beef up Explosion, but this will mean that Voltorb will always lose in the mirror matchup.

**Special Walls**: Special Walls such as Porygon and Delcatty force Voltorb to use Explosion to break through them. mention delcatty being able to protect to avoid too

**Ground-types**: Without Hidden Power Water or Ice, Ground-types like Rhyhorn and Cubone become very difficult for Voltorb to deal with. add onix, but i would also add how they can still favorably trade if it's hp ice

**Electric-types**: Due to Chinchou's ability Volt Absorb and other Electric-type's resistance to Thunderbolt, Voltorb has virtually no way of hitting them outside of Explosion. Magnemite leads to even more trouble, resisting Explosion. mention how it can only beat flaaffy by exploding
