Gen 3 [ADV] Rest + Chesto Berry Quilava [DONE]

[SET]
Rest + Chesto Berry (Quilava) @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power Grass
- Quick Attack
- Rest

[SET COMMENTS]
Quilava is capable of breaking down special walls such as Gloom and Sunflora thanks to its Fire typing, powerful STAB option, and Speed. Hidden Power Grass provides useful coverage against Water- and Rock-types such as Corsola, Chinchou, and Onix. Quick Attack assists in picking off weaker, faster attackers such as Abra and Elekid. In combination with a Chesto Berry, Rest heals Quilava instantly, clearing all status conditions and providing greater longevity. If Quilava is in Blaze range, it threatens to OHKO Pokemon such as Flaaffy, Koffing, and stallbreaker Mightyena, making it a juggernaut at breaking down foes. Quilava frequently switches in against Gloom and Dustox, which can threaten to wear it down with status. With the combination of Rest and Chesto Berry, Quilava can switch in without the worry of being affected by paralysis or poison.

ChestoRest Quilava performs best on offensive teams that benefit from its ability to weaken special walls and ignore status conditions. Paralysis spreaders like Porygon and Drowzee give Quilava a difficult time when it tries to break them down, so paralysis absorbers like Cubone and Rhyhorn that are immune to Thunder Wave can help deal with Quilava's checks. Other physical wallbreakers such as Anorith and Doduo can thwart special walls Quilava is unable to break like Drowzee and Tentacool. Special attackers such as Clamperl and Wailmer soften up special walls, allowing Quilava to clean up. Bulky Water-types such as Seaking and Wartortle are difficult to break down, as Quilava's Hidden Power Grass inflicts insufficient damage against them. Grass-types such as Gloom and Sunflora tank special attacks from Chinchou and Wartortle and possess reliable recovery. Quilava benefits from paralysis spreaders such as Castform, Nosepass, and Porygon, allowing it to eliminate faster threats such as Aipom and Elekid. Clerics such as Delcatty and Mightyena are appreciated by Quilava, as they help awaken it after consuming its Chesto Berry. Fast offensive Pokemon, like Abra, Aipom, and Voltorb, can act as cleaners after Quilava has broken down their checks.

The more I think about it, the more this set feels somewhat redundant and should be slapped onto the Other Options especially as it doesn't really differentiate itself from other Quilava sets. Nonetheless, finally got around to sorting this out. Ready for QC1!

great work

Quilava is capable of breaking down special walls such as Gloom and Sunflora thanks to its powerful STAB option and Speed (can you mention a special wall that isnt weak to fire? makes it too obvious that quil can take them down, maybe something more impressive). If Quilava is in Blaze range, it threatens to OHKO Pokemon such as Flaaffy, Koffing, and Stallbreaker Mightyena, making it a juggernaut at breaking down weakened foes. Timid is preferred on Quilava to outspeed Anorith and Delibird, forcing them out with Fire Blast. there needs to be some explanation as to why quilava uses this set, like the reason it uses rest chesto. i get to absorb status but what is it normally switching into that can status it? etc

ChestoRest Quilava fits best on offense teams that benefit from it being able to absorb status conditions. Other paralysis spreaders like Nosepass and Drowzee give Quilava a difficult time to break them down, so physical attackers such as Cubone and Rhyhorn are immune to Thunder Wave and can help break through checks. Bulky Water-types such as Seaking and Wartortle are also difficult to break down as Hidden Power Grass won't do enough damage against them. Grass-types such as Gloom and Sunflora are capable of absorbing special hits while having reliable recovery to fend them off consistently. Quilava benefits from paralysis spreaders such as Castform, Nosepass, and Porygon, allowing it to eliminate faster threats such as Aipom and Elekid. Clerics such as Delcatty and Mightyena are appreciated by Quilava, as they help awaken it after consuming its Chesto Berry. mention special breakers that quilava can benefit off of

Quilava is capable of breaking down special walls such as Castform and Gloom thanks to its Fire typing, (AC) powerful STAB option, (AC) and Speed. If Quilava is in Blaze range, it threatens to OHKO Pokemon such as Flaaffy, Koffing, and Stallbreaker Mightyena, making it a juggernaut at breaking down weakened foes. Timid is preferred on (Since Modest isn't slashed on the set, you don't need to mention this) Quilava to outspeed Anorith and Delibird, forcing them out with Fire Blast. Quilava frequently switches in against Gloom and Dustox, which can threaten to wear it down with status. With the combination of Rest and Chesto Berry, Quilava can switch in without the worry of being affected by paralysis or poison.

ChestoRest Quilava fits best on offense teams that benefit from it being able to absorb status conditions (See if you can rephrase this to focus on Quilava's potency as a wallbreaker first and its fast-paced team appreciating its ability to absorb stray status second). Other paralysis spreaders like Nosepass Porygon and Drowzee give Quilava a difficult time to break them down, so physical attackers such as paralysis abosrbers like Cubone and Rhyhorn that are immune to Thunder Wave and can help break through deal with Quilava's checks. Other special attackers such as Clamperl and Wailmer can assist in breaking down opposing special walls, allowing Quilava to clean up. Bulky Water-types such as Seaking and Wartortle are also difficult to break down as Hidden Power Grass won't do enough damage against them. Grass-types such as Gloom and Sunflora are capable of absorbing special hits while having reliable recovery to fend them off consistently (combine this with the previous sentence so it's a little clearer that Quilava wants to pair with bulky Grass-types). (Mention somewhere in here that Quilava benefits from physical wallbreakers that can beat the special walls it can't, and mention some. Also, add a sentence for cleaners that can sweep once Quilava has broken down teams.)
