Oh man. I'm at a loss for words right now. Quick bit of trivia for people who don't know. I won adv uu cup last year in 2024 and rob won adv uu cup in 2023, the prior year. I was so happy when rob and I both made finals this year in 2025. I'll have to check this later but I don't think the previous two cup winners have ever met in finals the next year for any old gen uu cup. Rob is also one of the people I respect the most in uu. People kept saying how he was one of the best old gen uu players on the site. After teaming with him this year for uupl, I can honestly say those people were telling the truth.
There is one person I need to give a massive s/o to and that's
BigFatMantis. I know he left earlier this year but this guy is one of my biggest supporters ever. I don't even know why, but he's been supporting me for as long as I can remember. We played r1 last year in adv cup and after I won he told me the most crazy thing ever. He told me I was gonna win adv uu cup in 2024 and said he would be shocked if I didn't win it. Before adv uu cup last year, I never kept up with adv uu. Didn't play it and didn't care about it. However, something about having someone believing in you is really motivating to me. He ended up being right too. 6-7 opponents later I would win that cup. Mantis really willed it into existence. There's also another random thing I remember too. Mantis was on a podcast and somebody said I wasn't very good and mantis immediately rebutted and said that I was good at ever single old gen uu tier. I honestly have no clue why he said that. I don't think I'm nearly as good as he says I am, but it feels really nice having someone cheer for you. I can't tell you why he supported and believed in me as much as he did. There's only one person who knows why and they aren't here to tell us anymore. Just know I appreciate all the nice stuff you said about me over the years.

ThatOneApple for hosting. People who volunteer to host tournaments never get enough credit. Sacrificing their free time so people like me can play are super nice of them. If players like me didn't sign up, it wouldn't change anything. Losing a volunteer would make a big difference. Thanks for hosting adv uu cup.
Feels great to win back to back cups in my favorite tier. Adv uu gets a lot of hate but nothing will ever get me to hate this tier.
