[SET]
name: Choice Band
move 1: Stone Edge
move 2: Aqua Tail
move 3: Double-Edge
move 4: Earthquake / Superpower / Focus Punch
item: Choice Band
ability: Rock Head
nature: Adamant
EVs: 152 HP / 232 Atk / 124 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

With Choice Band and the specified EVs, Aggron reaches an astounding 517 Attack. Aggron is easily capable of switching into battle thanks to its numerous resistances. Stone Edge is Aggron's main form of attack due to its high base power, good offensive typing, and STAB. Aqua Tail pairs nicely with Stone Edge, hitting those Pokemon hoping to switch into a Rock attack (Claydol, Nidoqueen, etc.) for super effective damage. It also hits Probopass and Bastiodon for super effective damage without the negative side effect of being locked into a Ground attack. Double-Edge is Aggron's most reliable method of attack against Gastrodon and Quagsire. Due to Aggron's ability, Rock Head, Aggron does not suffer recoil damage from the attack. The last slot is used to hit Steel-types that might prove to be an obstacle. Earthquake quickly disposes of Probopass while also maiming Nidoqueen and Toxicroak. Superpower and Focus Punch deal with Steel-types, but they are resisted by common UU Pokemon such as Venusaur, Nidoqueen, and Toxicroak. Just be wary of the Defense lowering side-effect of Superpower.

124 Speed EVs allow Aggron to outspeed those Pokemon with 65 base Speed that do not invest EVs in the stat, the most notable being Clefable. With 152 HP, Aggron will never be OHKOed by unboosted 252 Attack Adamant Life Orb Altaria's Earthquake, even when factoring in Stealth Rock. This means that Aggron can switch in after a teammate has been KOed or on a turn when Altaria is using Roost, survive the incoming attack, and OHKO with Stone Edge. The remaining EVs are placed into Attack.

First sentence of the last paragraph you write "EVS" I think you meant "EVs." Other then that, looks great Stellar.

With Choice Band and the specified EVs, Aggron reaches an astounding 517 Attack. Aggron is easily capable of switching into battle thanks to its numerous resistances <would mention it's big Defense, also helps switch int>. Stone Edge is Aggron's <deleted unneeded verbiage> attack due to its high base power, good offensive typing, and the STAB bonus it receives. Focus Punch also deals with Steel-types, but is resisted by common UU Pokemon such as Venusaur, Nidoqueen, and Toxicroak. The use of Superpower on this set is highly warned against (This is somewhat awkward, you could just it's not recommended). Superpower reduces those aspects by cutting its Defense and therefore forcing Aggron to switch.

Minor nitpicks/awkward language. Is it OHKOed? I thought it was OHKO'd but I guess that's shorthand? Nice set. Aggron is so cool :)

I don't really agree with the first two. I will however change the third. And yes, OHKO'd is shorthand.

I don't think you should say "STAB bonus" as STAB = Same Type Attack Bonus, no need for repitition.

I don't understand why, by your metrics, that you consider Focus Punch a good choice while disparaging Superpower. Focus Punch almost ensures that Aggron will have to switch period, whereas Superpower can at least give Aggron an opportunity to stay in and attack again.

The switch part was leftover from a previous part of the last section. I'll edit that.

I've just never had any success with Superpower. If someone can give me reasoning as to why it is a good choice on this set, I'll add it.

Hm, well in the case of a faster foe when using Focus Punch, it is essentially the same case with the flinch / stat drop.

I guess its worth mentioning.

But, should it be slashed in place of Focus Punch or just mentioned?

I'd slash it next to Focus Punch to be honest. I can probably see it being useful allowing you to come in on that Clefable to talk about out-speeding and KOing with Superpower, but I'm not even sure if that's a OHKO.

It's definately as worth as Focus Punch IMO though.
