Hey all this is my team and my first one on smogon any help that you can give is appreciated for this team has done very well but not good enough to give me any hugely high rankings. I made this team a couple of months ago and since then I don’t know how the metagame has changed.
AT FIRST LOOK:
It would seem as though I just threw together some of the 6 most used pokemon in OU. So lets go to the team building processes:
So I started by wanting to start with a rock polish aggron abusing head smash for ridicules damage. But in OU I found that aggron really did not work so I put in a aglitygross instead.
With this I already had one of the least predicted sweepers and one that often catches people off guard. by looking at metagross’s counters I notice that most of them are strong physical walls. Because of this I wanted to add a wall breaker. Thus mixmence being the best current wallbreaker.
cool already have a dragon/steel core. So now I decided to add a pursuit user. Thus Tyranatar, being the best, at this was added.
So with the core still rather strong and stable so I wanted to powerful U-Turn. Such as a Scizor.
So now I jumped ahead to the lead. I wanted a lead who could effectively stop the majority of leads from setting up SR while having a good chance of setting up itself. I choose smeargle for its spore and SR together while being able to fill 4 move slots.
finally I noticed I was mixape weak and needed a revenge killer… so it seemed as though scarf latias would do the job well.
So that was my team. Take a good look for that is my current team.
IN DEPTH:

Smeargle (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 4 HP/252 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Taunt
Smeargle in general is just a great lead. Evs are self explanatory, while U-turn ,being the only questionable, move is just for fast taunt leads like areo.
How it fares against other leads:
Azelf: U-turn strait to Latias usually works.
Metagross: spore SR on the switch if he stays in just taunt to prevent him from setting up
Swampert: Spore SR taunt… all good and easy.
Aerodactly: U-turn to scizor on the predicted taunt.
Jirachi: Jirachi’s are annoying usually just go for the spore to try to get rid of it
Infernape: stay in and hope it isn’t a fake out lead.
Roserade: Stay in and spam spore seeing as I don’t care about toxic spikes.
Heatran: Spore SR taunt… why not?
Smeargle: Spam spore and hope I am faster
Hippowdon spore SR taunt

Latias (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 80 HP/176 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
Man I love this poke. Capable of revenge killing so many. The Evs make sure that I can outrun +1 jolly salamence. Aside from the EVs just add defense. With all of the pokes on my team who love to set up on bliss I am not worried about the fat blob and thus run T-Bolt for coverage.
---

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/52 Atk/32 Spd/174 SAtk
Brave nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Dark Pulse
- Flamethrower
EVs are ripped right off the smogon page why I went with this set instead of the CBset was because I loved how much more damage this could do to stall teams. And it could easily set up on bliss…
---

Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 240 HP/252 Atk/16 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Quick Attack
just the average CBscizor. But with 8 more speed EVs. Why? Because with these Evs, I can out speed those with those trying to out speed CBscizors. Useful but not great.
---

Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 16 Atk/252 Spd/240 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Draco Meteor
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
Wow the mixmence from the smog 2. I have been it since then and it always does well. Constantly outrunning salamences and so many non-timid latias’s. Overall very useful and probably my favorite type of mixmence. Working very well.
---

Metagross @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 60 HP/252 Atk/196 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Thunderpunch
The star of the team. One of the best late game sweepers out there. Evs to out run adamant scarf-gon. Max attack and then the rest in hp to try to become more bulky. Overall a great sweeper and life orb allows me many more kills than lefties and that I can not give up.

Here’s my team please give suggestions as you see fit. Pics from Bulbapedia.
