* Air Balloon + Iron Defense + Body Press allows Metagross to lure in physical Ground-types like Ursaluna and Donphan to gain a surprise win.
* Heavy Slam + Bullet Punch allow Metagross to maintain good matchups against all common Fairy-types. Having two Steel-type moves secures the matchup into Fairy-type Encore + Disable users like Iron Valiant, Alolan Ninetales, and the rare Gardevoir. Meteor Mash allows Metagross to defeat Kyurem, at the cost of losing to Primarina and lower accuracy.
* This EV spread allows Metagross to always survive a Knock Off from Adamant Choice Band Meowscarada or a Focus Blast from Timid Choice Specs Valiant. The Speed EVs allow Metagross to always outspeed base 50 speed Pokemon without a Speed-boosting nature, such as Ursaluna, Iron Hands, and Donphan.
