Alcremie is all the sugar you need during the holiday season! This sweet fella has recently carved a tiny niche in OU as a usable bulky setup sweeper thanks to Aroma Veil, letting it ignore the tier's plethora of otherwise-debilitating Encores and Taunts from common threats like Ogerpon-W, Dragonite, and Iron Valiant. While it faces stiff competition with Hatterene and its Magic Bounce in this regard, Alcremie seperates itself with it via Acid Armor, preventing physical attackers like Rillaboom and Heavy Slam Zamazenta from denting it and eventually cutting its sweep short; reliable recovery, especially as it can stay undisturbed by Psychic Noise from foes like Galarian Slowking, Primarina, and Hoopa-U; and a significantly better matchup against Dragapult. Tera Poison grants it a better matchup against defensive Pecharunt, Iron Moth, and Toxic users like Gliscor and Galarian Weezing while letting it still handle Zamazenta. Teammates that can overwhelm or straight up remove checks like Galarian Slowking, Gholdengo, and Iron Crown are necessary, with the likes of Zamazenta, Great Tusk, and Hisuian Samurott being great picks for the job.
