Hey, guys new team here. It's a lovely one I just came up with for the current meta. It involves the use of and reflect leafeon for the current powerhouses of the meta like physical Coballion which I combat with my own special "haha, get it? Special?" set of coballion with CM to build on the compound building of the special side where leafeon builds in physical defense. This is a battle technique that a lot of players aren't familiar with that I learned from tutors and came up with as well when I first started playing years ago. Though the relation between the two moves on each pokemon doesn't build physical defenses of each, the use of the two moves on each pokemon does create offensive pressure for working against the current defensive meta. Leafeon takes care of defensive and offensive waters and in sun pressure t-tar after the set of sun with proper predicted switches of t-tar with switches in of char-y. The use of char-y also nullifies rain, and other weather for the sake of minimizing weather effect damage. Char-y also acts as a majorly powerful SpA wall breaker of SpD walls. Making room for sweeps by the rarely used special Coballion set. Poison jab exca is for wearing down grasses and surprising fairies. Get it? Surprising fairies. It's a favorite concept from one of my favorite Shakespearean paintings and books. I also use dragon pulse on char-y for dnite and the lati twins.
I use Hp fire on special coballion to roast ferro, especially for breaking it in on the switch.

I use Kommo-O as an eccentric lead attacker that bluffs stealth rocks even though it doesn't use them. I use the physical DD set or breaking down opposing dragons, which makes room for Leafeon, and Char-Y, and Tapu Bulu. And makes sweeps for Exca and Coballion easier, as well as Char-Y. I use Soft Sand on Kommo for catching Heatran off guard and and ohkoing it with earthquake without a boost, which then allows me to set up and sweep dragons.

Hope you guys enjoy the rmt, because it's the first one I've made in awhile.

Kindly, Deschutes

Hey there Deschutes ! Interesting team; I can definitely see where your mind is at when building the team, but this RMT lacks any real descriptions of things such as EVs or what one move does that another would not. I'll try my best to patch up any glaring flaws and weaknesses in this rate.

Firstly, there's no hazard removal despite there being a Charizard. Something such as Rapid Spin or Defog would heavily benefit the team. Hawlucha wins as soon as it activates Unburden. Tapu Lele can break past the team with relative ease, and other Pokemon such as Roost 3 Attacks Zapdos can give you a hard time—walling numerous Pokemon on this team. There's no real way to break past fat teams on this build, either, as it heavily relies on these unconventional sets and Pokemon. You don't have a solid physical wallbreaker to assist Charizard, so walls such as Toxapex and Chansey will always be able to switch-in without fearing a powerful STAB move or a Pursuit from a Pokemon like Tyranitar. Sand Rush on Excadrill without sand support makes no sense. Without sand on the team, you're better off running Mold Breaker to Toxic Pokemon like Mega Sableye. Flyinium Z Landorus shreds this team apart, as Leafeon is nowhere near bulky or strong enough to muscle past it, and all of these odd EVs that were never explained in the RMT hinder Pokemon like Charizard from having a shot at breaking past it. Overall, there are several weaknesses to this team, and I'll try my best to make it better suited for the meta.

Major Changes

Tyranitar > Kommo-o
tyranitar.gif

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Earthquake

(With the HP, you survive a +1 Bug Buzz from Volcarona 100% of the time.)
Kommo-o is pretty bad in OU no matter what set you give it right now. Its speed is far to middling to pose a huge threat with the plethora of strong revenge killers such as Tapu Lele, Scarf Greninja, or Landorus-T. You mention that you run Soft Sand to "catch Heatran off guard." What reason would Heatran ever have to stay in against Kommo-o, in which it'd be caught off guard, though? Anyways, Tyranitar acts as a solid physical breaker as aforementioned in the Overview. It assists Charizard in breaking and actually provides sand for Excadrill, too. The massive damage that it can deal to Pokemon like Landorus provides a better cleaning opportunity for Excadrill than a Kommo-o would. Tyranitar counters Zapdos effortlessly, and it can even survive a Moonblast from Choice Specs Tapu Lele about 87.5% of the time; OHKO'ing it back with Stone Edge or Crunch.

Zapdos > Cobalion
zapdos.gif

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Discharge
- Hidden Power Ice
- Heat Wave
- Roost
Cobalion isn't too great in USUM OU. There are just too many new checks to it such as Tapu Koko and new Pokemon to wall it like Celesteela and Toxapex. Physical Cobalion is not a powerhouse of the meta. It's gone unseen for a majority of the meta. No one really uses it on a real competitive team when other, more valuable Pokemon could be filling the same role. The moveset itself is also off. Why use Hidden Power Fire to "roast Ferro" when you have Focus Blast? What reason would a Ferrothorn even have to comfortably switch into Coba? The EVs would also need some explaining, as things such as 93 HP EVs make no sense. That aside, Zapdos performs as the probable best check to Hawlucha right now. Its ability to pressure and check Pokemon like Skarmory, Landorus, etc. helps Excadrill a ton. Kartana, which previously did a number to this team if Stealth Rock was up, is also walled by Zapdos.

1523037394812.png

Landorus-Therian > Leafeon
Landorus-Therian @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Fly
- Smack Down
- Stealth Rock
Leafeon is also pretty much terrible in OU. I understand what your strategy was when it came to Leafeon and Cobalion, but it is no where near optimal when you have 5 turns to abuse it and the setter is slow, frail, and weak. As a Chlorophyll user, it's simply worse than Venusaur as well. Landorus provides a last minute answer to Hawlucha, and it's something you wouldn't want to resort to since it's not defensive. The loss of Cobalion constitutes a new Stealth Rock user, and Z Landorus fits the bill solidly. You form a bit of a Ground-spam core with Excadrill, with both Pokemon wearing down each others checks. You're able to lure in Pokemon such as Tangrowth or Tapu Bulu that'd naturally answer a defensive set or Scarf set.

Minor Changes

1523037327878.png

AV > Bulky Bulk Up (?)
tapubulu.gif

Tapu Bulu @ Assault Vest
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 56 Atk / 60 SpD / 144 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Horn Leech
- Wood Hammer
- Superpower
- Stone Edge

(The EVs allow you to outrun Choice Band Tyranitar and 2HKO Clefable with Nature's Madness into Wood Hammer. The rest goes into bulk to make Assault Vest actually worth it.)
I don't understand the EV spread for the set you have. The random 3 Speed EVs won't even give an extra stat. EVs need to be in multiples of 4 to provide a full stat. Anyways, a bulky Bulk Up set isn't that great in comparison to something like Sub Bulk Up, as it's a lot easier for faster Pokemon to revenge kill. That being said, I don't like SubBU on this team that much, and I'd prefer if you were to just opt for Assault Vest. It helps against Tapu Lele, Water-types, and Tapu Koko. AV Bulu's ability to comfortably switch into Tapu Koko can hinder a Hawlucha sweep, as Grassy Terrain will often be up more than Electric Terrain.

1523037385143.png

Focus Blast > Air Slash | Roost > Dragon Pulse | 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Charizard shouldn't run Air Slash, as it hits nothing that Fire Blast doesn't. Dragon Pulse is only useful for Zygarde and lesser relevant Garchomp, but you have Tapu Bulu and Roost is just overall better. Roost allows Charizard to shrug off chip or even massive Stealth Rock damage, which could easily turn the tide of the game. Your EVs still didn't make any sense, and you didn't explain what they were for. We'll just stick to a 252/252 spread to maximize its offensive capabilities and make it outspeed as much as it can (like Jolly Landorus or Timid Tapu Lele).

1523037406654.png

Life Orb > BrightPowder | Rapid Spin > Poison Jab

Life Orb allows Excadrill to have way more firepower with all of its attacks. BrightPowder is a bad item competitively, as it requires a lot of luck and takes an item slot over something way more valuable. Rapid Spin is used over Poison Jab to remove hazards. You say Poison Jab is for grasses and fairies, but Excadrill already has a STAB Iron Head for the latter.

Importable

You now have a solid dual-weather team that can break past walls and uses Excadrill as an actual win-condition. Most, if not all, of the flaws and weaknesses I mentioned in the Overview were hopefully patched up!

All I have to say in regards to the RMT is that you better explain items, moves, EVs, etc. and what they do for the team or for the Pokemon as a whole. You wouldn't want to have something like Hidden Power Fire on Z-Fly Landorus, and in the RMT say its to roast Mega Scizor. Instead, you'd want to explain what it hits that Z-Fly doesn't (which is nothing). Cool team, I hope my rate helped a bit. :swole:

Excellent team suggestion. I like your suggestion of Zapdos. Excellent suggestion of the current meta. Lando is impressive as well too. I really like T-tar as well, but what other suggestions do you have for current meta besides tar?

Unfortunately I can't suggest much that would replace Tyranitar nicely. It's practically the best partner for Charizard Y in most cases right now, and its sand makes Sand Rush Excadrill actually usable. You could go a route running Mold Breaker Excadrill and running something such as Banded Hoopa-Unbound to maintain that wallbreaking effect.

Awesome suggestion, friend. I love that core of hoopa and exca. Used it before when climbing the ladder and it got me pretty high. That hoopa with gunk shot is awesome for high meta.
