Welcome to my first RMT. This is a team meant for WiFi battles, as I feel WiFi takes more skill than Shoddy. As you can see from the title, to me, synergy is very important when making a team. Each pokemon's weaknesses should be covered by another pokemon's resistance. Anyways, on to the team.
The Lead:
Naive/Blaze @ Focus Sash
30/31/30/31/31/31
64 Atk / 252 SAtk / 192 Spd
Moves: Fake Out, Close Combat, Overheat, Grass Knot (changed from HP Ice 70, to deal with Swampert Leads)
Explanation: Infernape is probally one of my favorite leads, Fake Out breaks other poke's sashes, Close Combat and Overheat for powerful STAB, and Hidden Power Ice 70 if I encounter a dragon. Infernape is weak to Water, Ground, Flying, and Psychic. Infernape has great synergy with the rest of the team, as Water and Ground type attacks are resisted by Starmie, Flygon and Bronzong. Flying is resisted by Bronzong. And Psychic is resisted by Starmie, Scizor, and Bronzong. The major problem with using Infernape as a lead is if your opponent has Swampert. What I'm forced to do usually is switch to Bronzong or Starmie, and Explode or Surf. If it's a Swampert that carries Roar, I'm in a bit of trouble.
The Iron Wall:
Sassy/Levitate @ Leftovers
31 | 31 | 31 | 31 | 31 | 0
252 HP/86 Atk/80 Def/92 SpD
Moves: Stealth Rock, Gyro Ball, Explosion, Hypnosis
Explanation: Stealth Rock is vital, as it sets up the way for my sweepers to wreck house. That, and it's pretty much staple on every team nowadays. Gyro Ball is there because it needs a way to hurt the opponent besides exploding. Explosion, is for the final boom when Bronzong is close to dying. Hypnosis is my only way to put an opponent to sleep, usually forcing them to switch, letting me set up Rocks for free. Bronzong is weak only to Fire, which is resisted by Infernape, Snorlax, and Flygon.
The Giant:
Sassy/Thick Fat @ Leftovers
31/31/31/26/31/9
168 HP, 120 Defense, 222 Special Defense
Moves: Body Slam, Selfdestruct, Curse, Earthquake
Snorlax is a beast. It's as simple as that. Switch it in on a fire or ice attack, use curse on the switch, and proceed wreckage. Snorlax is so hard to kill after just one curse. The only thing that really threatens this guy is Machamp. Or floating Ghosts. Gengar completely walls this guy unforunately, and I don't want to switch EQ for Crunch because EQ just has so much more coverage. Body Slam over Return for the 30% paralysis which can set up the way for my sweepers, Selfdestruct for a big boom, curse is obvious, and EQ for coverage against rocks, steels, and fires. Being weak to only Fighting and immune to Ghost which scares Starmie, this guy is essential to the team. He has great synergy with Starmie as they cover each other's weaknesses.
The Revenge Killer:
Adamant/Levitate @ Choice Scarf
31/31/31/x/31/31
255 Atk/255 Speed
Moves: Outrage, Earthquake, Stone Edge, U-turn
Firstly, yes I know it should be 6 Hp/252 Att/252 Speed. But I messed up when EV training, and I don't want to redo it all for 1 extra hp. Anyways, Flygon is a great revenge killer. Outrage and EQ give it great STAB attacks. Stone Edge is good coverage, and U-turn is to help when I predict a switch. Flygon is weak to Ice and Dragon; Ice is resisted by Infernape, Starmie, Snorlax, Bronzong, and Scizor which is a big plus :) and Dragon is resisted by Bronzong and Scizor.
The first sweeper:
Timid/Natural Cure @ Life Orb
31/31/31/31/31/31
6 Hp/252 Sp Att/252 Speed
Moves: Surf, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Recover
Starmie is such a monster. Stab Surf with LO is practially a guaranteed 2hko on anything that doesn't resist it. Thunderbolt and Ice Beam is for the famous boltbeam coverage. Recover is to gain back hp from LO recoil when I'm facing something that can't hurt Starmie. Starmie is weak to Grass, Electric, and Ghost. Grass is resisted by Infernape, Bronzong, and Scizor. Electric is resisted by Flygon. Ghost is resisted by Snorlax and Scizor.
The second sweeper:
Adamant/Technician @ Life Orb
31/31/31/x/31/31
22 Hp/252 Att/236 Speed
Moves: Swords Dance, Bullet Punch, Super Power, Bug Bite.
Swords Dance Scizor is a monster. It's a billion times better than CB Scizor. SD on the switch because they think it's a CB variant, than proceed to destroy everything with Bullet Punch or Bug Bite. Bullet Punch is a powerful 60 base attack STAB priority move. Bug Bite is a 90 base attack STAB move that can steal Salac Berries, and the rare Leichi berry if your opponent is running any. Super Power for extra coverage. It's one weakness is fire, resisted by Infernape, Flygon, Starmie and Snorlax.
And that's my team, thanks for reading all this. I hope you enjoy, it's open to any constructive criticism. Thanks guys.
