All about the synergy.

Welcome to my first RMT. This is a team meant for WiFi battles, as I feel WiFi takes more skill than Shoddy. As you can see from the title, to me, synergy is very important when making a team. Each pokemon's weaknesses should be covered by another pokemon's resistance. Anyways, on to the team.

The Lead:

Spr_4d_392_s.png

Naive/Blaze @ Focus Sash
30/31/30/31/31/31
64 Atk / 252 SAtk / 192 Spd
Moves: Fake Out, Close Combat, Overheat, Grass Knot (changed from HP Ice 70, to deal with Swampert Leads)

Explanation: Infernape is probally one of my favorite leads, Fake Out breaks other poke's sashes, Close Combat and Overheat for powerful STAB, and Hidden Power Ice 70 if I encounter a dragon. Infernape is weak to Water, Ground, Flying, and Psychic. Infernape has great synergy with the rest of the team, as Water and Ground type attacks are resisted by Starmie, Flygon and Bronzong. Flying is resisted by Bronzong. And Psychic is resisted by Starmie, Scizor, and Bronzong. The major problem with using Infernape as a lead is if your opponent has Swampert. What I'm forced to do usually is switch to Bronzong or Starmie, and Explode or Surf. If it's a Swampert that carries Roar, I'm in a bit of trouble.

The Iron Wall:

Sassy/Levitate @ Leftovers
31 | 31 | 31 | 31 | 31 | 0
252 HP/86 Atk/80 Def/92 SpD
Moves: Stealth Rock, Gyro Ball, Explosion, Hypnosis

Explanation: Stealth Rock is vital, as it sets up the way for my sweepers to wreck house. That, and it's pretty much staple on every team nowadays. Gyro Ball is there because it needs a way to hurt the opponent besides exploding. Explosion, is for the final boom when Bronzong is close to dying. Hypnosis is my only way to put an opponent to sleep, usually forcing them to switch, letting me set up Rocks for free. Bronzong is weak only to Fire, which is resisted by Infernape, Snorlax, and Flygon.

The Giant:

Sassy/Thick Fat @ Leftovers
31/31/31/26/31/9
168 HP, 120 Defense, 222 Special Defense
Moves: Body Slam, Selfdestruct, Curse, Earthquake

Snorlax is a beast. It's as simple as that. Switch it in on a fire or ice attack, use curse on the switch, and proceed wreckage. Snorlax is so hard to kill after just one curse. The only thing that really threatens this guy is Machamp. Or floating Ghosts. Gengar completely walls this guy unforunately, and I don't want to switch EQ for Crunch because EQ just has so much more coverage. Body Slam over Return for the 30% paralysis which can set up the way for my sweepers, Selfdestruct for a big boom, curse is obvious, and EQ for coverage against rocks, steels, and fires. Being weak to only Fighting and immune to Ghost which scares Starmie, this guy is essential to the team. He has great synergy with Starmie as they cover each other's weaknesses.

The Revenge Killer:

330.png

Adamant/Levitate @ Choice Scarf
31/31/31/x/31/31
255 Atk/255 Speed
Moves: Outrage, Earthquake, Stone Edge, U-turn

Firstly, yes I know it should be 6 Hp/252 Att/252 Speed. But I messed up when EV training, and I don't want to redo it all for 1 extra hp. Anyways, Flygon is a great revenge killer. Outrage and EQ give it great STAB attacks. Stone Edge is good coverage, and U-turn is to help when I predict a switch. Flygon is weak to Ice and Dragon; Ice is resisted by Infernape, Starmie, Snorlax, Bronzong, and Scizor which is a big plus :) and Dragon is resisted by Bronzong and Scizor.

The first sweeper:

dpmfsa121.png

Timid/Natural Cure @ Life Orb
31/31/31/31/31/31
6 Hp/252 Sp Att/252 Speed
Moves: Surf, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Recover

Starmie is such a monster. Stab Surf with LO is practially a guaranteed 2hko on anything that doesn't resist it. Thunderbolt and Ice Beam is for the famous boltbeam coverage. Recover is to gain back hp from LO recoil when I'm facing something that can't hurt Starmie. Starmie is weak to Grass, Electric, and Ghost. Grass is resisted by Infernape, Bronzong, and Scizor. Electric is resisted by Flygon. Ghost is resisted by Snorlax and Scizor.

The second sweeper:

dpmfsa212.png

Adamant/Technician @ Life Orb
31/31/31/x/31/31
22 Hp/252 Att/236 Speed
Moves: Swords Dance, Bullet Punch, Super Power, Bug Bite.

Swords Dance Scizor is a monster. It's a billion times better than CB Scizor. SD on the switch because they think it's a CB variant, than proceed to destroy everything with Bullet Punch or Bug Bite. Bullet Punch is a powerful 60 base attack STAB priority move. Bug Bite is a 90 base attack STAB move that can steal Salac Berries, and the rare Leichi berry if your opponent is running any. Super Power for extra coverage. It's one weakness is fire, resisted by Infernape, Flygon, Starmie and Snorlax.

And that's my team, thanks for reading all this. I hope you enjoy, it's open to any constructive criticism. Thanks guys.

Ill rate, I understand how you feel I just bumped my rmt up twice.

This is honestly a really hard team to improve, so ill probably just make a couple minor nitpicks. First, I would give scizor a bulkier spread of 184 HP, 252 atk, 72 spe. I dont know what the current spread is doing, and after looking at the speed tiers I thought this would be the best, outrunning skarmory, 68 speed vaporeon while the closest things relevant to outrun after that are crocune, agility empoleon and cresselia so the rest is dumped into hp. I made sure to not round up life orb recoil as this spread gives it 327 hp.

I gotta say I have put a lot of thought in and I still can't help much. The best thing I could think so far would be to slot weezing in over snorlax.

Weezing @ Leftovers/Black Sludge
Ability- Levitate
Nature- Bold
EVs- 252 HP, 252 def, 4 spA
-Fire Blast
-Thunderbolt
-Pain Split
-Will-o-wisp

Weezing serves as glue for this team and ill explain why its so important. Im gonna bet you have problems with machamp right? Between dynamicpunch/payback it hits this team pretty hard. Weezing takes very little from both of those and is a very reliable counter because it lacks a pursuit weakness. Weezing is also your only counter to swords dance lucario, it sweeps this entire team if it can manage a swords dance.

Gliscor can do all of those things, and at the same time fend off rotom-a with taunt+toxic. However, it would add another double ice weakness and you're still hopeless against gyarados. Breloom can be annoying for obvious reasons but not anymore with weezing. Plus, unless youre playing hg or ss rotom-a wont even be there and zong/starmie/scizor can lure it in and kill it eventually. Overall weezing will be incredibly important to this team as it stops some very common threats from running through the team.

Black Sludge can free up a slot for item clause, but leftovers would be better because if a trick user takes it they can trick it back on to another non-poison member of your team.

Overall I love your team and i think youll have a lot of success with it. One last thing, I have been looking FOREVER for someone who can get perfect pokemon somehow. If you could be that person it would change my life xD.

You have no real ghost counter that I can discern.
To deal with the ghosts that wall your Snorlax, you can replace Selfdestruct with Crunch or Pursuit.
Another interesting change you can make to remedy this is to give Scizor a Choice Scarf and give it Pursuit/U-Turn/Superpower/Iron Head or Bullet Punch and a Jolly Nature.
This set works wonders at destroying opposing ghosts and offers you a small chance at flinch haxing slower foes if you opt for Iron Head over Bullet Punch.
Also, if you want to base your team around a CurseLax sweep, Toxic Spikes would prove invaluable in that effort.
I have no idea how difficult these changes would be using a DPP cartridge seeing that I only use Shoddy anymore.
I may give additional commentary later, but it's three in the morning over here right now and I'm tired.
I hope I helped. Good luck!

Lucario has a field day against this team, which is probably something we should prevent. I'm not really going to do calcs, but I'm relatively certain he can one-hit kill every member of your team. Bronzong honestly isn't doing much, so I'd recommend a switch to StallBreaking Gliscor with SR because you also don't do well against stall at all. Don't worry about having two quad weaknesses to ice too much as the rest of your team resists it.

I'd run Rapid Spin on Starmie over Ice Beam because this team does not like stall (as mentioned).

That's all I can think of. Good luck.

If it makes u feel any better with flygon. Your ev spread actually means that super fang, when ur at full health, will do 1 damage less (this is negated by the fact u wud have 1 extra hp anyway but w/e its no loss) and also pain split will take less hp from you sometimes.

Ok I think I know the exact problem with your team. It's because you have focused on synergy. This is however just a sub section of team building and a team goal should be the main focus. For example if the team goal was to help scizor sweep, then you could give snorlax pursuit, as it allows him to trap Rotom and starmie and some zapdos etc. who can take a BP and hit back hard with w/e.

I've been thinking about switching something out for a CB Weavile, so that I could have a ghost counter, but as to beating stall, stall isn't that common on WiFi, as most people don't play intending to have an hour long match. To counter Lucario, I'm probally going to switch out Hypnosis on Bronzong for EQ. Hypnosis hasn't really done much for me lately.
