OK. So I have been making teams recently and mainly use them over WIFI.
I have managed to make the Following teams that all have their share of success
- OU Team
- UU Team
- Rain Dance 2v2 Team
- Sunny Day 2v2 Team
Now I would like to add to my plethora of teams with a 2v2 Hail Team and here are the contenders for my team. Most are pretty standard for Hail teams as Ive never really used one before so this is my very first attempt at making one.
So there are the contenders are here is what they are all packing to try and gain victory together.
Abomasnow - Quiet - Occa Berry
Snow Warning
252 HP - 252 SpA - 6 SpD
Ice Shard
Blizzard
Protect
Grass Knot
What did you expect, really? Its a Hail team, lol. So here is the obligatory Abomasnow for all Hail Teams. With Snow Warning its a free hail set up everytime it is sent out.
I am going to use an Occa Berry for the Fire Type moves that will inevatably be heading its way. But I might use a Focus Sash if I still faint too much.
Blizzard will the the spamming move of choice. Ice Shard is to combat its bad speed and a finish up move. Grass Knot will hit Heavy Pokemon like Snorlax and Swamperts hard. Its also another STAB move. Protect for scouting and protecting, duh.
FrossLass - Focus Sash - Timid
Snow Cloak
252 SpA - 252 Spe - 4 Def
Taunt
Destiny Bond
Blizzard
Thunder Wave
The Emo of the Team, the Kamikaze Ice Type.
Taunt is to stop Trick Room setting up and other set ups that might happen.
Blizzard is again there to abuse the 100% Hit affect of Hail.
Thunder Wave for Switched and to slow things down. The occasional Parahax would also be nice :)
Destiny Bond is for when things are just too much for the poor girl and wants to go down with a fight.
I might switch out Thunder Wave for Shadow Ball if need be.
MamoSwine - Choice Band - Jolly
Snow Cloak
252 Atk - 252 Spe - 252 HP
EarthQuake
Ice Shard
Rock Slide
SuperPower
The Powerhouse of the Team!
This can be a beast if it is let free to roam the battlefield.
Earthquake will hit everything on the field for a nice chuck of HP.
Hail Banded Ice Shards for Priorty if the opponent is quicker
Rock Slide is again another Double Hit Move. Ive gone with Rock Slide for the shared damage instead of the power of Stone Edge. Rock Slide will also help for the Fire Types that will come in to crash the party.
SuperPower is here for any steel types that will try and bully me.
Ive gone with Jolly so I can out speed things that might try and faint me, like Adamant Lucario.
Weavile - Jolly - Focus Sash
Pressure
252 Atk - 252 Spe - 4 Def
Fake Out
Night Slash
Ice Punch
Brick Break
The Edward Scissorhands of the Pokemon world. Weavile.
Fake Out is always a nice move as its a free hit as long of they dont have Inner Focus, Crobat is the most common I find.
Night Slash and Ice Punch are the two main ways of attacking.
Ive gone for Brick Break in the last slot for type coverage and for steel types and any of the opponents ice types trying to abuse my Hail.
Ive gone with Jolly purely for speed so I can go first against as many things as possible.
Walrien - Bold - LeftOvers
Ice Body
220 HP - 240 Def - 48 SpD
Protect
Substitute
Hail
Blizzard
STALL!!
That is all!
No I kid. But that is the basis around this set. With Leftovers and Ice Body I get back the health lost from the Sub back straight away. Protect is there for extra stall.
I Thought I better put Hail on here incase abomasnow dies and another weather effect is set up.
Blizzard is the move of spammage again. With the STAB it will hurt most things that are unlucky to get hit by it.
The stall will eventually wear out the opponent due to hail. This is also a nice moveset if you like to annoy your opponent while battling them.
Swampert - Impish - LeftOvers
Torrent
252 HP - 252 Def - 4 SpA
Stealth Rock
Blizzard
EarthQuake
Roar
So here is the end of the team, the last guy. Swampert.
The beauty about swampert is that he is bulky and resists most of what Abomasnow Doesnt.
Fire - Abomasnow 4x - Swampert 0.5x
Fighting - Abomasnow 2x - Swampert 1x
Poison - Abomasnow 2x - Swampert 0.5x
Flying - Abomasnow 2x - Swampert 1x
Bug - Abomasnow 2x - Swampert 1x
Rock - Abomasnow 2x - Swampert 0.5x
Steel - Abomasnow 2x - Swampert 0.5x
Abomasnow also covers Swamperts weakness
Grass - Swampert 4x - Abomasnow 0.5x
I thought I better have something that can set up Stealth Rocks as they are always helpful, even if they only break focus sashes that the opponent might have.
Roar is for Phazing and adding the the residual SR damage that can be caused.
Blizzard is for Spamming in the Hail that hurt anything that might try its luck,
Earthquake is for a STAB attack that will just plain HURT.
Ive gone 252 HP - 252 Def for the Bulk and Leftovers the conter the hail damage I will be recieving.
So what do you think. IMO I dont thing it is too bad for a first attempt. Might be a few things that are glaringly bad but we will see shall we.
Thanks for any RMT and help given
(If this is in the wrong Place im sorry)
