All Out Attack (Gen 4 OU)

I've just recently thought of a new team and it seems to have been working quite well despite one or two losses.

jolteon.png

Jolteon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
4hp/252SpA/252Spe
Timid
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-Pin Missle
-Hidden Power(Grass)

Jolteon makes an awesome anti-lead because of its great speed and above average special attack. Thunderbolt is its main STAB move and is used to deal with aerodactyl leads. Pin missle KOs Sashed Azelf while shadow ball deals with the rare Gengar leads. Hidden Power(Grass) 2HKO's leadperts. Thunderbolt can also deal massive damage to leadtrans, leadrachis and bronzong leads thats to choice specs. With the given evs and nature, it can outspeed almost any leads. It has problems with the occassional lead hippowdon as hidden power(grass) will usually 3HKO's which gives hippowdon enough time to set up rocks and slack off.

swampert.png

Swampert @ leftovers
Ability: Torrent
252hp/114Def/142Spd
Impish
-Surf
-Roar
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

As I said earlier, Jolteon has problems with Hippowdon which can be threatened by Swampert. Surf is its only attacking move, used to threathen pokemon that counter jolteon. Roar is used to delete any stat-boosting move such as ddance and such. Rest is its recovery move and sleep talk is used to hopefully get a surf or roar. The evs and impish nature lets it take a hit or two. It is also my both physical and special wall.

scizor.png

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
4hp/252Atk/252Spe
Adamant
-Bullet Punch
-Pursuit
-U-turn
-Superpower

The usual Choice Banded scizor set. He is the revenge killer in this team and with his ability, technician, he can easily take out or do some damage to most pokemon. U-turn is STAB and to scout. Superpower to take out snorlax and umbreon while pursuit is to take out ghost and psychic types. It also works well with swampert. It can take grass moves meant to take out swampert while swampert can take fire moves mean to take out scizor.

tyranitar.png

Tyranitar @ Life Orb
Ability: Sandstream
4hp/252Atk/252spe
Jolly
-Ddance
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
-Taunt

This set is mean to break most walls. I'll taunt walls like skarm and bliss, forcing them to switch while I set up a dragon dance. Stone edge is its main attacking move as its STAB while earthquake is to take out steel types and at times more reliable than stone edge due to its 100 accuracy. Unfortunately, this set cannot hurt levitate bronzong as earthquake has no effect and stone edge is resisted.

clefable.png

Clefable @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
252hp/128Def/128Spd
Adamant
-Softboiled
-Facade
-Belly Drum
-Cosmic Power

This set is used to wall most pokes, set up a few cosmic powers and belly drum. Softboiled is to heal itself and facade, with belly drum and toxic, sweeps everything but ghosts types. It is also used to absorb status attacks. The strategy is to wipe out all ghost types and then bringing in clefable and setting up.

infernape.png

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
4hp/252SpAtk/252Spe
Timid Nature
-Nasty Plot
-Vacuum Wave
-Fire Blast
-Grass Knot

Infernape is my special sweeper. i will bring it in on something that it can threathen and nasty plot on the switch. After one nasty plot, it can take out anything. The natures and evs allow it to outspeed anything and it is also my counter to bronzong and other steel pokemon.

Please rate this team. All comments are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, SkyHigh, you have a pretty cool team on your hands, here. I admire your use of creativity in the structure of your team, as you are using a couple of of quite unusual sets among your ranks. However, I see thisteam having problems with many common threats you are sure to encounter in battles, so I have a couple of changes to suggest. First of all, I see that you don't have stealth rock support, something that is necessary for offensive teams, like this one to work properly; taking that fact into account, my first suggestion would be to switch Jolteon and Swampert with each other and replace Swampert with the standard lead set, which gives your team stealth rock support while also starting the battle off with a decent amount of momentum.

Moving on; this team seems to be quite weak to your standard dragon dancers (Tyranitar, Dragonite, Gyarados) while also having problems with some other offensively orientated Pokemon like Infernape, Machamp, Lucario, as well as offensive Steel-types and bulky waters. To help remedy these problems, I suggest your replace your Clefable (which, in my opinion seems quite out of place on a team like this) with a choice scarf Flygon. Flygon can easily revenge kill a large portion (if not all) of the aforementioned threats, improving your team's structure and efficiency.

Lastly, I recommend removing your Electivire, which is probably the weakest link on your team, seeing as it doesn't really contribute in helping your other sweepers have an easier time doing their job. I recommend replacing said Pokemon with a calm mind Jirachi variant (the actual set and move set is up to you, although I would recommend the wish and calm mind variant), as it shares decent synergy with your other Pokemon (after my suggestions) and provides your team with a much needed special attacker seeing as the majority of the Pokemon on this team are physically based. I hope this rate has helped, and good luck!

Hey Aerrow thanks for the suggestions. I tried switching jolteon and swampert and it worked very nicely. As for switching clefable to flygon, i am not sure what moveset to give flygon. As for electivire, it isn't a member of my team. It is just a big threat I listed. Do you recommend switching something else to jirachi? Thanks in advance.

For threats, you don't need to list the set - that's a very common Electivire set and everybody already knows about it. Also, it's not a huge threat, at all. Infernape can revenge kill easily, as can Scizor. Also, Electivire needs to rely on 80 accuracy to have any chance at taking out Tyranitar and Clefable, so it's not like it can sweep your team. But regardless, Swampert would, as Aerrow suggested, fit hte lead role much better. Stealth Rock is crucial for your team.

For Flygon, use this set:

Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant / Jolly nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- U-Turn
- Thunderpunch / Toxic / Stone Edge

This will allow you to revenge kill boosted sweepers.

Good luck with the team.

your team has many ground weakness i suggest you should replace your clefable with offensive gyrados and electivire with standard choice scarf flygon

Hi, I think that you could change a poke or two to fix some synergy problems without losing key roles. As suggested, Swampert makes a better lead than Jolteon. I would reccomend using Zapdos over Jolteon for the fighting/grd resist. Zapdos works well with Swampert and can switch into threats much better than Jolteon which is needed for this team. You could try an offensive LO set with 3 attacks + roost, or the physically defensive set which is the same with more defensive EVs and lefties. Having Tyranitar and Clefable gives you two "specially defensive fighting weak walls" so I would suggest switching Clefable out for a Jirachi. Jirachi can use calm mind and wish to support the team and still have specially defensive capabilities. Try 252 Hp/80 SpD/176 Spe Bold. It also checks adamant luke. Lastly, I would remove the Evire sprite because it is confusing people....

First of all... WHY ARE YOU USING SURF ON AN IMPISH 'PERT?!?!?! If you're going to use Surf, use Bold, so you aren't reducing it's Sp. Attack.

Next, about your lead. The vast majority of Gengar leads hold a Focus Sash, which is just begging for a normal type like Snorlax to come in and set up while you're forced to switch.

With Ape, change Vacuum Wave to Close Combat and Timid to Naïve, as otherwise you are completley walled by Blissey, Snorlax, and the lot.

That's it for now, hope I helped.

Hey guys, thanks for all the comments. I've changed my lead to swampy and jolteon to zapdos with the moves roar/thunderbolt/hp grass/roost. I've also changed clefable to wish CM jirachi and ttar to choice scarfed flygon. I've yet to test the team out so i cannot claim it to be successful yet. But anyways, thanks for the rate guys

Edit your original post to incorporate new changes instead of just posting another thread. The easiest way to tell changes you've made is to bold the new changes, although this isn't necessary.
