All Type Team

Yes, the title is lame, but it represents my goal with this: a team where no type (or role, for that matter) is shared among this team, while still covering as much ground as possible. As a result, they are all dual types. Here goes:

swampert.png

Retarduck (Swampert) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Def
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
Yes, stupid name, but a clever one eludes me. Drops Rocks, shuffles annoying Pokes out of the way, and does a fair amount of damage. Normally sees the least use, but the team would fall to pieces without him. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Grobyc (Scizor) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Brick Break
- Roost/ X-Scissor (shoddy has no Bug Bite)
- Swords Dance
The names of the Pokes were supposed to be references to the Chrono series of games, and this is one of the three that worked. Grobyc is the badass cyborg assassin with a passion for power from Chrono Chross, and Scizor fits that to a T: get in, set up, sweep. I don't have much trouble from Psychic and Grass types, and Bullet Punch hits neutral for a little less, so Roost is quite attractive to me over Bug type STAB for the ability to keep him in over extended periods of time.

breloom.png

LSD Factory (Breloom) (M) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 236 HP/248 Def/24 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Focus Punch
- Leech Seed
- Spore
- Substitute
Nothing is more pleasing than switching in on Toxic Spikes with this guy. In all the times I've used Brelooms, I've found myself wanting to siphon walls of HP instead of straight up killing something, and I have not encountered enough Rotoms to warrant Seed Bomb (as Gengar doesn't fear it when he has HP Ice/Fire). Focus Punch beats up damn near anything, and Leech Seed annoys anything it doesn't while healing me. Funguy is a character in Chrono Cross, but I don't like him and the name is a general (and stupid) pun anyway. My choice may not seem better, but it amuses me.

latias.png

Harle (Latias) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 Spd
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Dragon Pulse
- Wish
- Protect
- Reflect
In Chrono Cross (again), Harle is the jester chick who turns up being a disguised Dragon God that got attached to those who were to be her victims. While this Latias isn't destroying shit any time soon Wish and Reflect keep a lot of things alive that should've been dead. Invaluable in all my battles.

zapdos.png

Bad Feather Day (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP/226 Def/32 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Roost
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Heat Wave
- Thunderbolt
The original plan was to give this Life Orb, so that it killed things better while giving the illusion of being easier to take down by revenge killerrs. My last choice would make the residual damage unforgivable, especially since I have the very unfortunate predicament of being unable to find a well fitting enough spinner other than Forretress (and I already have Scizor: this is the biggest conflict for team slots I have faced thus far). May go back if I can manage the timing of Roosts.

tyranitar_sprite.png

Lavos (Tyranitar) (M) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Tail/ EQ
Lavos is the main villain of Chrono Trigger, a sentient meteor (covered in spikes for the extra badassery) that crashed in to earth billions of years ago, resting in it's core while absorbing energy, until he comes out and straight kills everything. While CaP's Collosoil fits the name much better visually, Tyranitar fits the spirit and purpose better. I originally had Rotom-W, then Tentacruel in this spot, despite them sharing a type with a previous Pokemon, the first as a status spreader and Light Screen layer, the second a TSpiker and needed Spinner. However, a few battles later I realized how easily Gengar tore me apart if Scizor was below 60% health. Why my baby was not on here from the start eludes me. Aqua Tail is nice over EQ in that, while I lose Metagross coverage (who is taken care of by Swampert bar surprise Grass Knots), I can laugh at (weakened) bulky ground types expecting to come in and pulverize me with the move I replaced. However, I worry about Heatran: the fucker has always caused me no end of trouble, no matter how well prepared I am.

Go.

hi. your team is pretty solid, but i have a few suggestions. first off, your two primary sweepers, scizor and tyranitar, have some similar counters. the first that comes to mind is skarmory. you have no real way of luring each other's counters, or just beating them without getting walled by another pokemon, ie zapdos gets sent out to beat skarmory only to be walled by blissey. as a result, stall is going to be a nightmare to face with your team. to help fix stall issues in general, i feel one of two options are viable. 1, taunt ddtar to shut down skarmory and WoW from rotom, and 2, run a CBTar or scarftar to beat rotom. cbtar can actually 2hko skarmory so it'd probably be better. this would greatly benefit scizor, allowing it to sweep when rotom cant WoW and tyranitar just sets up on it. taunt ddtar imo would be the preferable option. if you opt to go this route, leftovers is the superior option as an item, enabling you to still set up on rotom and skarmiory more reiably while taking thunderbolt, brave bird damage respectively. anyway hope this helps, good luck
