• Alolan Ninetales is the premier snow setter due to its Speed tier and utility. It enables offensive structures that flourish with Aurora Veil support, reducing damage from opposing Pokemon.
• Alolan Ninetales runs Freeze-Dry in order to force super effective damage on prominent water types like Ogerpon-W.
• Icy Wind is a strong speed control option that allows Alolan Ninetales to outpace Chien-Pao and Ogerpon formes. Blizzard can be brought over Icy Wind as a stronger STAB option, allowing it to guarantee a OHKO on Landorus.
• Encore allows Alolan Ninetales to deter setup from Pokemon like Calm Mind Raging Bolt or Swords Dance Ogerpon formes, which are normally threatening for Alolan Ninetales and its teammates. Moonblast or Protect can be brought over Encore as a secondary STAB option that allows it to hit Incineroar for neutral damage, and Chien Pao for super effective damage.
