[SET]
name: Fast Bulky Pivot
move 1: Knock Off
move 2: Parting Shot
move 3: Toxic
move 4: Foul Play
item: Leftovers
ability: Fur Coat
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 HP / 76 Def / 180 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]
Alolan Persian is a fast pivot that can switch into and take on many of the tier's physical attackers such as numerous Silvally formes, Unfezant, Liepard, and Gourgeist-S due to its excellent Speed tier and ability Fur Coat. Knock Off is used to remove Clefairy's Eviolite, as well as denying Leftovers recovery from Pokemon that may want to switch in, such as Alcremie and Sandaconda. Toxic puts common switch-ins such as Alcremie and Quagsire on timers. Foul Play lets Alolan Persian reliably revenge kill boosted Silvally formes. 180 Speed EVs paired with a Jolly nature allow Alolan Persian to outspeed Rapidash.
Due to Alolan Persian's weakness to Fighting-types, Pokemon such as Garbodor, Cofagrigus, and Rotom-S pair well with it. Garbodor in particular has amazing defensive synergy with Alolan Persian, as the former resists all three types that the latter is weak to. Pokemon that can switch into Fairy-types, such as Rapidash and Silvally-Steel, are also heavily appreciated. Strong attackers such as Toxicroak, Indeedee-F, and Flapple appreciate Alolan Persian's ability to bring them onto the battlefield via Parting Shot. Additionally, Pokemon that are typically weak to Silvally formes such as Clefairy appreciate Alolan Persian's ability to handle them; in return, Clefairy can take on the special attackers that threaten Alolan Persian.
