I'm not very good at this, honestly. I have a bad habit of just using Pokémon I like. But anyways, this team is all about Zapdos. I write too much, so feel free to skim the team building process and the descriptions. I will play around with this team some more tomorrow (or later) to find my weaknesses and identify them, and maybe fill out a threat list as well.
Team Building Process
Well, this team revolves around Zapdos. The guy's got great coverage with awesome Special Attack and good Speed, and reliable recovery to boot. Decided to go with Life Orb here, since it's got Roost to any recoil. He was always my favourite legendary, and I'm happy to use him in my chosen tier, this generation.
---
Like any sweeper, hazards are vital to success. (Zapdos causes a few switches too, with proper prediction with Hidden Power Grass and Heat Wave. Sometimes they expect a bulky Zapdos too... no idea why.) I thought Omastar would be a good choice, as it's also a handy check/counter to most variations of Victini.
--
Now that I've got hazards, I could really use a spinner... Sadly, the offensive Pokémon that have Rapid Spin in UU are Armaldo and Kabutops, which don't add anything to the weaknesses or resistances of my team... Well, I guess that leaves Hitmontop or Donphan, and I like Hitmontop, who can revenge kill with Technician boosted priority as well, or defend with Intimidate and defensive investments.
--
So Zapdos has huge problems with Rotom-H, who is almost always Scarfed... I'm considering either Snorlax or Flygon. Snorlax seems to be more reliable for countering Rotom-H, but it's crippled by Trick, while Flygon giggles at trading Choice Scarfs with Rotom-H, but can't take repeated abuses (and Stone Edge's accuracy toys with me...). I've never used Snorlax in UU, but I guess I'll give it a try. He can also be a backup check to all those damned Fire-types when Omastar is scared of Hidden Power Grass.
--
Well, I've got pretty good synergy so far. However, I'm a bit worried about both Flygon and Heracross. I can't think of anything that walls them both... except for Gligar. Unfortunately, he's a little contrary to the offensive style of this team, so far, but I guess an awesome Toxic-staller is considerably offensive...
--
At this point, I need a wallbreaker. Ridiculous shit like Deoxys-D and Chansey can wall this team pretty decently, and spread poison, paralysis, or set up hazards in my face. Something tells me Mismagius would fit right in, while also blocking Rapid Spin.
the team ok.
Zapdos @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Roost
As stated, Zapdos is the star of my team. It's the typical Life Orb set that overpowers opponents through sheer coverage (and proper prediction). It destroys bulky waters like Suicune and Milotic, and can decently handle many Bug- and Grass-type enemies with a resistance and strong Heat Wave. Hidden Power Grass is for Rhyperior and Gastrodon, and other random Ground-type switch-ins. While both listed opponents are rather rare, Hidden Power Ice's main target if Flygon, who outspeeds me almost always with a Choice Scarf, anyhow. As stated, Roost is to heal off Life Orb recoil, but I've also used it as a pseudo-Protect, to consider what to switch to in tight situations.
--
Omastar @ Leftovers
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd / 4 Spe
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Scald
- Ice Beam
My hazards machine! Defensive EVs to give the guy maximum turns to spew out Spikes and Stealth Rock, while being capable of taking Victini's physical attacks with (a good amount of) aplomb. Scald is for burning (which has REALLY helped against Donphan and Hitmontop switch-ins, to set up more hazards), while Ice Beam is to hit Celebi and Shaymin decently as they come in. While the burn is extremely valuable to bide time, Omastar already has invested HP and Defense, so I've considered switching to Hydro Pump for a surprise power boost (as, regardless of the fact that it's not invested, Omastar has naturally great Special Attack). I'm too scared to make the switch, though.
--
Hitmontop @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature (+Def, -SpA)
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic
- Close Combat
- Sucker Punch
I hate rocks. The whole idea of them. None of my team is resistant to Stealth Rock besides this guy, and (Toxic) Spikes really damper Snorelax's gigantic HP stat. Toxic is run over Foresight because Ghost-types often run Will-o-Wisp, and I would rather lure in a Ghost-type and cripple them rather than be crippled myself. (Unfortunately, my team as a whole is completely vulnerable to burn. I tend to end up sacking Omastar and rarely Zapdos to a Will-o-Wisp if I need to, and Omastar can set up on Dusclops anyways). Close Combat to KO Chansey, and Sucker Punch for coverage, unreliable priority, and something to hit Azelf with. I'm considering completely switching this guy to TechniTop with Bullet Punch and Rapid Spin (over Fake Out), to help threaten hail teams and Mismagius. Not sure though, so I'll play that by ear. Oh, and I might actually switch to Foresight since Gligar's already carrying Toxic too, but it saves him a vital turn of stalling, I guess.
--
Snorlax @ Choice Band
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 SpD
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Body Slam
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Pursuit
Snorlax eats hail for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Body Slam over Return to spread some paralysis if I'm lucky, since I don't have a Scarfer of my own on this team. Earthquake is a stronger hit than Fire Punch against Steel-types, and prevents me from being completely resisted by Rock-types. Fire Punch for hail abusing assholes, Grass-types, and Escavalier (who Snorlax... somehow... outspeeds...). Pursuit KOs a V-Create weakened Victini, while also hitting Ghost-types hard, as Snorlax is immune to their STAB, and hits their (usually) lower Defense stat. Not much else to say here... I copied the EVs from Delta's analysis since he says so and I suck at EVs. Also, Choice Band is used for power, punching holes for Zapdos, and reciprocate Rotom-H's crippling if it decides to Trick me.
--
Gligar @ Eviolite
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Impish Nature (+Def, -SpA)
- Taunt
- Roost
- Toxic
- Earthquake
This thing walls the hell out of Escavalier, Heracross, Snorlax, and Flygon, who would ram holes through my team otherwise. Taunt is mostly for switch-ins that are generally special set-up sweepers, and it scares away slow things like Chansey. Roost for recovery and stalling slow Hidden Power Ices. Toxic for a way to actually damage things, and Earthquake to hit Steel- and Poison-types immune to Toxic, and not be complete Taunt bait. With maximum HP investments, Gligar can also take neutral, weak special attacks and Toxic stall, which is super cool. It's essentially a physical version of Chansey, except it has resistances and Taunt at the price of Wish and poor typing against special attacks. He's also a rather hard counter to sandstorm teams, as Gligar is immune to Earthquake, physically a mammoth (much unlike Mamoswine...), and uses the weather against the opponent with Sand Veil.
--
Mismagius @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 160 HP / 96 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
My Chansey counter and spin blocker. Mismagius is really cool this generation. The ubiquity of Spiritomb last generation brought her down a lot, but with Spiritomb's disappearance, Mismagius is free to roam. I've always had better luck with the Calm Mind set, since it lets me set up on special, non-setup sweepers. Calm Mind Mismagius also works well with Gligar on the team, as Gligar can handle and stall out a large amount of physical sweepers and scarfers, which Mismagius doesn't care for very much. Substitute is used over Taunt to block status from things other than Chansey as well. Shadow Ball for STAB, Hidden Power Fighting for perfect coverage, and I've already got Zapdos for Electric-type offense (over Thunderbolt, I mean). Mismagius screws over opposing Hitmontops that are over-reliant on Sucker Punch, while Omastar can already lure and defeat Donphan. The EVs were copied again. :3333
Threat list...
Notes to self...
Any feedback is good feedback.
Also, I was (am?) extremely tired when I made this (right now?), but I'm trying to learn from my mistakes concerning my last Zapdos team.

Threat list...
Offensive
-Abomasnow - Hitmontop does alright to KO it. If Zapdos can get in safely on a predicted Wood Hammer, Grass Knot, or Leech Seed, it's an easy KO with Heat Wave. Snorlax can KO it easily with Body Slam and Thick Fat, but hates Leech Seed.
-Aerodactyl - I haven't actually encountered one at all. Taunt variations screw with Gligar though. Omastar's great defense lets it take an Earthquake easily and retort with a Scald. Hitmontop can switch in on Stone Edge and Intimidate it so it's much less threatening.
-Alakazam - Again, haven't seen one, but now that Magic Guard Alakazam is released, I'm sure I'll see plenty... Snorlax can handle a Focus Blast and use Pursuit or Body Slam to KO.
-Ambipom - I lol at this guy. I switch to Mismagius for an obvious Fake Out/Return, and then Gligar for a free Toxic on the switch in.
-Arcanine - Gligar can handle a Flare Blitz and Toxic, or Earthquake if its weak enough to die. But I usually just use Omastar to KO with it's 4x resist to its STAB.
-Azelf - As stated, I'm a bit Azelf weak, but I don't see many of them for some odd reason, considering how strong they are with amazing coverage. Snorlax can hinder its sweep but a +2 Psyshock hurts like hell.
-Azumarill - Omastar can usually get the job done. Zapdos survives an Aqua Jet easily and KOs with Thunderbolt.
-Bisharp - Mismagius works perfectly fine if it switches in on an obvious Sucker Punch, but an unseen Taunt really screws with it. Gligar walls the hell out of it.
-Celebi - I'm Celebi weak. Zapdos can take a +2 Giga Drain and do about 60% or something with Heat Wave. Celebi often stupidly comes in on an Ice Beam from Omastar, which brings him into KO range for Zapdos. I think.
-Charizard - Stealth Rock lolololol. Snorlax does the job.
-Cobalion - Gligar shrugs off Taunt as its Earthquake is super effective, and can take any hit from this guy. Special variants are harder to deal with, but Zapdos resists its STABs and has Heat Wave for coverage.
-Crobat - Crobat is annoying as hell, but Zapdos can usually handle a Brave Bird and KO with Thunderbolt. Omastar can hit it with Scald for a burn or Ice Beam if it's not going to use Roost, while taking very little damage from it. Super Fang sucks though. Defensive variants can often stall out my team though...
-Donphan - Gligar LOVES the opportunity to get in, when Donphan thinks Ice Shard will do anything to it (it does about 20-25% or something... lol.) Free Toxic. Omastar beats it with Scald as well, hopefully getting a burn while at it. If Donphan is weakened, Mismagius can spinblock and KO with Shadow Ball.
-Dugtrio - Dugtrio doesn't have counters really, but Gligar is pretty much a stop to it. I think Omastar can take an Earthquake and KO with Scald, but I've only encountered a few of these,
-Durant - Gligar lol. Full stop.
-Eelektross - Haven't had problems with it. Snorlax KOs with Body Slam, easily.
-Electivire - Haven't seen an Electrivire at all. I think Gligar can take one Ice Punch and KO it with Earthquake if it has a little previous damage.
-Emboar - Haven't seen one, but Gligar should be able to handle it.
-Escavalier - Gligar walls it completely and whittles its HP with Earthquake, or stalling it out.
-Flygon - Gligar walls it. Even if it has Draco Meteor (lol?). It usually gets weakened by dumb switches to Hidden Power Grass and Scald, etc.
-Froslass - Annoying more than anything, but Snorlax can kill it, while not completely suffering from Thunder Wave due to its fail Speed stat, anyhow. Hitmontop can spin once it's gone.
-Gallade - Again, Gligar. It doesn't like Ice Punch, though, but Bulk Up variants hate Toxic, and Choice variants don't use Ice Punch often.
-Galvantula - Haven't seen one, since it's kind of RU. Snorlax should handle it.
-Golurk - Mismagius can switch in on an Earthquake and KO with Shadow Ball, but Gligar can break Substitutes with Earthquake and take very little damage from anything else but Ice Beam (lol?).
-Gorebyss - ... Has swept my team before. :c Snorlax should handle it, but it more often than not gets to pass a Shell Smash. It, itself, is not too threatening if Snorlax is healthy, but switching in Snorlax lets Gorebyss pass to something anyways. Can't do much to stop this bitch, admittedly. Hazards make repeated passing very difficult, though.
-Heracross - Gligar, to hell and back. I actually end up Toxic stalling Heracross, regardless of Guts. That says a lot about Gligar.
-Honchkrow - Gligar outspeeds the Substitute variants, last time I checked, and can Taunt it into Brave Bird/Sucker Punch to be Toxic stalled. Looking at my team, I SHOULD be weak to Honchkrow, but I've never had a problem. If Omastar is still around (considering Honchkrow is more of a late-game sweeper), I can take a Brave Bird with aplomb and Ice Beam it.
-Houndoom - Again, Snorlax usually gets the job done. Omastar can handle it if it lacks Hidden Power Grass, but Hitmontop often scares it out for extra hazards damage.
-Huntail - Same as Gorebyss, I'd imagine...
-Jolteon - Gligar can handle one Hidden Power Ice and respond with Earthquake. Snorlax can handle it with Earthquake, easily, but they always seem to appear late-game, when Snorlax is weak, or when I'm in a pinch.
-Kingdra - Snorlax handles special variants. Omastar can weaken it with Ice Beams, but Kingdra always makes me wish I had a phazer on my team... (Maybe I should twist Snorlax around. He's an unexpectedly vital part to this team in conjunction with Gligar, but he tends to hate repeated beatings, and doesn't function as well of a pivot as I'd like... And Chansey is out of the question, as it's just asking for Mismagius to sweep me.
-Krookodile - Haven't seen one. Gligar can handle it though, I'm sure.
-Lilligant - Haven't seen this guy either. Snorlax should be able to handle it though, but I'm not sure. I'd imagine it'd take down my team if Zapdos is down... Wish I had a Fire-type.
-Mamoswine - Gives Gligar problems, unfortunately... Hitmontop can handle it somewhat, though.
-Medicham - Haven't seen one. Gligar can handle anything but Ice Punch, and Medicham is choiced almost always, and usually reliant on Hi Jump Kick.
-Mew - He's a pain in the ass. If Mismagius can get in, it can Substitute on a Will-o-Wisp and 2HKO with Shadow Ball (or just take a Will-o-Wisp and 2HKO if it's switching in). It's never threatened my team, really... Just irritated it.
-Mismagius - Snorlax got dis. But if Snorlax is down, I'm gonna have trouble.
-Moltres - Snorlax/Gligar core stops Moltres and its team mates usually.
-Nidoking - A pain in the ass if Snorlax is weakened... It dies to a Body Slam, but my team is rather weak to it. Thank god it's rather slow, and often gullible, since it switches in to an unexpected Heat Wave by Zapdos and gets weakened, all the time. If it switches in safely though, I may have problems.
-Ninjask - Haven't seen one, but usually Gligar can handle the physical sweepers it Baton Passes to. Stealth Rock wears it down easily.
-Porygon-Z - Snorlax can sometimes handle it, depending on the set, but it's often choiced, with Mismagius immune to its STAB and specially tough enough to handle an unboosted Dark Pulse.
-Raikou - Gives me hell if Snorlax is down. It's surprisingly bulky, and faster than my entire team. Same story as Jolteon though, regarding Gligar.
-Rhyperior - Gligar walls it for a free Toxic for fun times. I don't see many of these anymore, though.
-Rotom-C - Haven't encountered one, but I'm sure Snorlax can handle it.
-Rotom-H - Gligar can come in on a -2 Overheat and force it out. Snorlax handles it, though.
-Rotom-F - Again with the Snorlax.
-Sawsbuck - Haven't seen one. If it's on a sun team, though, and sun is out, I may have some problems though... Gligar can't handle too many +2 Wood Horns, but can Toxic it in the process, I think.
-Sceptile - lol Snorlax. Zapdos resists most of its moves, though.
-Scolipede - Can usually get up a layer or two, unfortunately. Gligar handles it easily, but the layers get up in the process, and I am forced to Toxic/damage Hitmontop later.
-Scyther - Stealth Rock, lol. Both Omastar and Gligar handle it.
-Sharpedo - A pain in the ass. Physical Water-type moves really damper my team. It's really defensively weak, though, so Zapdos or Snorlax should be able to revenge kill it easily.
-Shaymin - Again, I'm a bit grass weak... Zapdos can hurt it with Heat Wave, but it can't handle the Special Defense drop of Seed Flare...
-Sigilyph - Gligar Taunts it for me to switch to Zapdos, but I often get something burned in the process. It hasn't given me much trouble at all though, for some reason.
-Smeargle - I have to sack something (usually Snorlax) to Spore, but it's KO'd by anything after.
-Snorlax - Hitmontop can handle it to a degree, and it can't take repeated Thunderbolts from Zapdos. Mismagius can set up on variants with Earthquake over Crunch/Fire Punch, and can switch in on both Body Slam and Earthquake if it's choiced.
-Stoutland - Gligar stalls it out and abuses the sandstorm that comes with it... Last time I faced a sand team, though, it got a critical hit with Return on Gligar, and I was screwed, so Gligar's my only answer, really. Hitmontop can scare it out and weaken it with Intimidate, though. Omastar will deal, as well, if it's still around.
-Suicune - Zapdos can outdamage it, and I often Taunt it with Gligar since it expects me to switch.
-Togekiss - Annoying with the flinching, but Snorlax can usually answer it. If it's locked into Air Slash, Omastar can set up/KO it, but my whole team doesn't like the idea of Trickscarf (except Zapdos doesn't mind it too much).
-Venomoth - Similar to Smeargle, but I usually sacrifice something to sleep then switch to Snorlax. If Mismagius is out, I can sometimes Substitute on it and weaken it. But it still means I need to sacrifice something...
-Victini - A mix of Snorlax, Gligar, and Omastar all make Victini rather useless against my team. I never really worry about it, but the special variants often surprise me.
-Weavile - Kind of difficult for me, considering that my physical wall is 4x weak to it, but Snorlax can take a Night Slash and KO with Body Slam.
-Yanmega - Snorlax. Zapdos handles Tintspecs, I think, but takes a lot of damage in the process. Stealth Rock, lol.
-Zoroark - I don't know why but I'm always gullible for with Zoroark. x_x I'm good at predicting elsewise, but Zoroark really fucks me up. Snorlax handles special variants, while Gligar can deal with physical ones.

Defensive (will do later)

Notes to self...
-Snorlax/Gligar defensive core is phenomenal, but it opens up my team to Water- and Ice-type moves. Maybe a bulky (non-Omastar) Water-type of my own?
-A little Psychic weak... Crunch on Snorlax?
-Deoxys-D is a pain, and can Toxic Mismagius on the switch in, and break subs with Night Shade... Maybe a good Steel-, Poison-, or Normal-type with Taunt (Cobalion!) to replace something (maybe Balloon Cobalion in place of Gligar? Swords Dance?)...
-Lacking some resistances (Water-type especially). Calm Mind Mismagius helps remedy that a little, I guess...
-No good burn, sleep, or Toxic absorber. Sleep especially. A boosted Venomoth is rather overwhelming, with Snorlax as the only good answer if something is already asleep...
-A scarfer of my own, or a better paralyser than Snorlax? Or neither? Analyse necessity of speed, later...
-Maybe a phazer? With a good hazard setter like Omastar, it might help quite a bit; although, the offensive/defensive mixed pressure causes switches...
-extremely Azelf weak... again, Crunch on Snorlax?
-Raikou weak if Snorlax is down and it has a Calm Mind under its belt...
-Choice Band Snorlax is not as good of a pivot as I was expecting... Raikou and Zapdos can defeat it if another strong special sweeper is used in conjunction with it. Maybe Curselax would be better, but I don't know...
-Strong Grass-types can give me problems. (Celebi and Shaymin)
-Shellsmash is difficult for me, as Zapdos is outsped and KO'd by +2 Ice Beams.
-A little Psychic weak... Crunch on Snorlax?

Any feedback is good feedback.
Also, I was (am?) extremely tired when I made this (right now?), but I'm trying to learn from my mistakes concerning my last Zapdos team.
