-Excellent base 115 Special Attack stat
-Can OHKO almost all of the metagame with one move or another
-Volt Switch sets it apart from other Specs sweepers
-Low Speed and solid bulk sets it apart from other Electric-types
-Focus Blast decimates the likes of Regirock and Lairon
-Hidden Power Grass Water-types and hits Pokemon such as Golem harder
-Hidden Power Ice offers more neutral coverage ("BoltBeam"), but doesnt hit Pokemon such as Golem harder
-Thunderbolt provides solid STAB that doesn't force Ampharos to switch out

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

-Choice Specs lets it hit very hard
-Life Orb causes recoil and doesn't let Ampharos hit as hard, but it lets it switch moves
-Modest nature with max Special Attack lets it hit as hard as possible
-208 HP provides solid bulk
-48 Speed let it outrun 4 Speed Clefable to decimate it with Focus Blast
-Static lets it cripple physical sweepers that try to revenge kill it
-Appreciates entry hazard support since it forces switches easily
-Prediction is key wit hthis set due to Pokemon such as Golem that can block Volt Switch
-Wish support is helpful to restore Ampharos's HP
-Rapid Spin support is very helpful since Ampharos will be switching out a lot
-Good teammates include other special sweepers since this Ampharos can destroy special walls

-Heal Bell lets it free itself and its teammates from status
-Toxic poisons walls
-Volt Switch lets Ampharos scout
-Focus Blast provides good coverage a
-Thunderbolt is the main STAB move, and hits hard off of ampharos's base 115 Special Attack stat but Discharge canbe use to paralyze threats

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

-Calm nature with max HP and Special Defense allows for maximum special bulk
-Static can paralyze sweepers that try to KO Ampharos with physical moves
-Leftovers restores HP
-Reflect lets it sponge physical hits and support its team
-Light Screen lets it take special attacks even better and support the team
-Wish support is very helpful since Ampharos lacks reliable recovery
-Pokemon that are weak to Electric will benefit from this Pokemon
-Slow, but powerful attackers such as Marowak can be good partners since Ampharos can paralyze quite easily with Discharge + Static
-Access to Heal Bell means that almost any Pokemon will benefit from having Ampharos as their teammate

-good bulk and only one weakness makes it a good dual screener
-Reflect and Light Screen support Ampharos and its team
-Volt Switch lets Ampharos switch out and give one of its teammates a safe switch in
-Heal Bell lets Ampharos act as a cleric
-Toxic cripples walls

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

-Max HP and Defense allow Ampharos to take hits from both sides since its Special Defense is solid as is.
-Bold helps physical bulk
-Static cripples sweepers
-Light Clay maximizes effects of dual screens
-Focus Blast, Hidden Power Grass, or Hidden Power Ice can be used in the last slot
-Set-up sweepers are very good partners, as they become much more deadly with screen support
-Pokemon such as Gorebyss and Linoone are good examples of this

-Substitute lets it block status and take weak hits thanks to its decent base 90 Special Defense and HP
-Hidden Power Grass decimates Quagsire and threats such as Golem
-Focus Blast's 120 base power makes Hidden Power Grass not as useful at times
-Excellent Special Attack stat
-Substitute lets it block status, which is very helpful in the NU metagame

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

-Timid lets Ampharos outrun Choice Scarf Sawk and Choice Scarf Rotom-F and Rotom-S
-Modest lets it hit harder
-Appreciates entry hazard support
-a Poison-type / rapid spinner is helpful to get rid of toxic spikes
-Signal Beam can be used to hit Grass-types harder, but its other coverage moves are better
-Leftovers is the preferred item since it restores HP, and should always be used with Substitute
-Life Orb lets it hit harder
-Static is helpful in certain situatios to cripple physical sweepers
-Many scarfers such as Choice Scarf Primeape still outrun this set, so they should be taken out first
-can take priority attacks


[Other Options]

-Not many other options
-A SubPunch set can be used, but Pokemon such as Golem will still beat Ampharos easily, and other Electric-types can also beat it easily
-Focus Blast hits basically all of the threats Focus Punch hits harder than it anyway
-Signal Beam hits Grass-types, but Focus Blast hits them hard enough anyway
-Hidden Power Ice is the same as Signal Beam
-Cotton Guard boosts Ampharos's Defense by 3 stages

[Checks and Counters]

-Quagsire must watch out for Focus Blast (2HKO), Hidden Power Grass, Toxic
-Entry hazards can hurt ampharos's life span
-Repeated attacks willfinish it off since it lacks recovery
-Common scarfers such as Primeape still outspeed the Agility set after a boost
-Toxic Spikes are a major problem for Ampharos
-Pokemon such as Altaria can outstall Ampharos, but must watch out for its coverage moves (in Altaria's case, Hidden Power Ice)
-Specially defensive Camperupt
-Grass-types such as Amoongus
 
amoongus+other less cool bulky Grass types in Checks/Counters? Hp Grass seems to have a fair amount of emphasis as the superior option (which is I agree upon btw, not that it matters :P), so they can usually wall him. also specially defensive camerupt is taking everything bar focus misses with relative ease, and stops ur moment party cold. i dont know what this thing is supposed to be btw ._. like a mouse or something?
 
Amphy is actually a really good screener since it has good bulk and only one weakness. I think a set should be added. Also Agility looks kind of iffy but meh.
 
k added Dual Screens. Any other QC members want to weigh in on Agility?
Also, I'll add other Grass-types and Camerupt in Checks and Counters.

Hey man, Choice Scarf Primeape is in RU!

It doesn't seem like Choice Scarf Pokemon are really such a problem for Agility Ampharos. The only common scarfer that actually threatens it is Choice Scarf Sawk, who can put a huge dent into Ampharos. Most other scarfers have trouble doing a lot of damage to it.
