An attempt at a balanced rain team

Hi! this is my team! Honestly I made this team kind of randomly, simply removing pokemon that didn't help out. I would like some input and tips on how to improve. It has decently done

Politoed (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Protect
- Encore
- Perish Song

This is my rain inducer. It also handles offensive threats well, especially boosters.

Vaporeon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Hydration
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Rest

This is my kind of special tank. It was extremely useful at first, but lately it hasn't been.

Toxicroak (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Dry Skin
EVs: 204 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Drain Punch

This is my set-up tank. It's usually great and counters a lot of things. After a sub and a swords dance the only thing that somewhat reliably counterss him is (that I have encountered) is sub ghosts and Gliscor.

Jolteon (F) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunder
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Shadow Ball
- Volt Switch

My revenge killer/late game cleaner. It does massive damage with thunder and has a wide movepool.

Ferrothorn (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Protect
- Leech Seed
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball/power whip

This is my defense wall. It leeches things and sets up rocks when it can.

Dragonite (F) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- ExtremeSpeed
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage

My main set-up sweeper. Skarm and gliscor is pretty much the only thing that stops it.

My ideas on improvements that I need suggestions on:

*A sweeper that works better in the rain (dragonite is hampered by the rain since fire attacks are weaker in rain)

*move & EV changes since i probably overlooked something.

Thanks in advance,
MHC

I know that I'm brand new, I am no moderator/admin, and I am certainly in no place to point it out... but your explanations seem to be rather short, to put it bluntly.

Anyway, I think that this team has very good potential, so nice job!

Let's start off one by one shall we?

Politoed: I honestly suggest a Specially defensive Politoed, rather than a Physical set only due to the reliability it would give you as a Special wall, but I can see that if you are coming in a Tyranitar then Defense seems logical. However, your set leave something to be desired for. I really suggest Toxic over Encore mainly due to your lack of any reliable status inducing moves.

Vaporeon: Now this is where I may be a bit contradicting. If you really are not suited to Toxic on Poltoed, then definitely add it in place of HP Electric for Vaporeon. This allows easy Ko's of Water pokemon that normally tank most of your hits, other than that it looks good.

Toxicroak: It may be personal opinion, but I think this moveset on Toxicroak functions as the BEST under a Sub.
-Substitute
-Focus Punch
-Ice Punch
-Sucker Punch
With the inclusion of Dry Skin, Toxicroak will have the capability of a lot of Substitutes. Plus the sheer power of this set will leave many other weathers to the dust.

Jolteon: I like the originality of this set, so no complaints other than using a different move over Thunder (such as Signal beam?)

Ferrothorn: One thing is that you are missing 4 evs... on Ferrothorn, another is to have a SDefensive Ferro since you are already running a Physically bulky Toed. Go with 252 Sdef/ 252 Hp / 4 Def and a Sassy Nature. The moveset is fine, but I would run Gyro Ball AND Power whip.

Dragonite: Dragonite looks fine. If you need an alternative for the team, then you could fit a Landorus to counteract Sand teams, or in my honest opinion run Swords Dance Gliscor, it would really benefit the team.

Nice job!!

I think it's alright, I wrote pretty badly. Thank you for the large input.
I tried a special politoed.

What is Ice punch for on toxicroak? How much do you think it would do against Gliscor?

Have you checked the Dragonite Analysis page, the mixed rain set is a better suit for your dragonite. Skarmory for one will not want an 100% Thunder.

I tried this, with little success. It was probably at least part my fault, but I didn't find it very useful.

I'm trying out a mixed DD dragonite inspired by the set though with:

Dragon dance
Outrage
Thumder
Hurricane

With this I try to force a switch, DD up, and when Skarm/gliscor comes in hit it with blizzard or thunder. Then see what comes out and outrage the rest of the team.

Sub/TWave/Power Whip/Seed on Ferro is spectacular if you're into that kind of thing. Conduit got everything else spot on tho.

Maybe I should try ths, but generally I am not a giant fan of paralyze.

Thank you for all your input"

consider yourself lucky youve recieved rates already. when you read this message, be sure to lengthen your descriptions of each set and check the rmt rules.
