Eneru (Thundurus) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Taunt
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Special attacker, Pseudo designated lead, and all around annoyance to my opponents. I'm sure that no explanation is truly needed for genie.
This is a real help with rain teams with its electric STAB and high speed. It's a good last ditch check to several sweepers with a Priority Twave, HP ground volcarona in particular. Though, it doesn't help much with anything else. Sand has loads of TTar's and ground types running around, sun has chlorophyl grass types.
I'm debating whether or not to replace this with starmie, which has higher speed, water STAB, and can actually kill TTArs. Though, this probably makes me weaker to stall (blissey) and more so to sun. Feedback is appreciated.

It doesn't matter where Lucario is; DPP, BW, or Brawl, he's going to kick ass.
Lucario this generation takes a lot more prediction due to the lack of choice users not named Latios and a handful of new checks. I first switch it in on a resisted move or after a pokemon dies, and close combat the switch in, or the pokemon predicting a switch. TTar, scizor, blissey are the usual suspects, and should they predict wrong and attack, will provide one less check to Latias. Most switch in's take heavy damage from CC or Ice punch, should gliscor or landorus be around. By late game, they will be wary of staying in, and provide me a oppurtunity to set up and destroy the rest of their team.
Most checks not covered by ice punch like reuniclus, jellicent, and gengar are usually taken care of by other team members.

Scizor is around to Soften up the opposing team for Lucario, and take care of threats such as TTar, reuniclus, and gengar. Fifth generation is practically ideal for scizor with Ttar and Ferrothorn being top usage. But really, no explanation is needed.
I have to be somewhat careful with Scizor as well, because Entry hazard damage really racks up with constant U-turns. I used the Ubers CB set from last generation as Scizor appreciates the special bulk. Though, if another spread comes to mind, again feedback is welcome.

Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 180 Def / 76 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Toxic
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Protect
My counter to all things named Exadrill. Honestly, that's the only reason I keep this thing around. But even then it has many uses, like checking conkeldur which would otherwise molest the rest of my team. Though, I usually have to wear it down with toxic, which gives it a guts boost. Added one extra ev into speed to outpace various pokemon on the speed tier.

Kokoro (Latias) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Dragon Pulse
Special sweeper and buffer against various special attackers. Once boosted high enough, even resisted attacks become hard to take. Substitute is key in blocking status and scouting for ttar, scizor, and jirachi, who would beat this one-on-one. Rotom with trick always seem to get their way with Latias however, and cripple it for the rest of the match.
First thing I do is Substitute, as one of the aformentioned counters switching in is inevitable. Depending on such I will switch out to whatever is appropriate at the time: Scizor, Lucario, Heatran or Gliscor.

"Who the hell do you think I am?"
Gurren (Heatran) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Lava Plume
- Roar
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
Another buffer against special attackers, particularly sun. I need the bulk and utility of the specially defensive set over the all out attack. Toxic is mainly to cripple common counters like rotom-W and lati@s. Roar is around to phaze volcarona, who would otherwise take out the rest of the team.

I'm sure that you already know what these pokemon are like. But the point of RMT is to address problems so...

Venusaur - Latias is probably my best answer.
494.png
Victini - Best answer is sacrfice a poke and revenge.

Volcarona - Heatran, though HP ground versions are bad.

This is a less common threat, but there are dragonites that run Lum Berry and Dragon Dance with waterfall on rain teams. I am not quite so sure how you stop it but thankfully your team has a lot of priority

Hey

This is a solid team. Scizor, Gliscor, Latias and Heatran form a very solid defense for your team. However, I feel like Thundurus sticks out on your team. You rely a lot on Latias to sponge rain teams. This could backfire quickly as most rain teams carry a few Ice Attacks, or even Tornadus who can put huge dents in your team with STAB Hurricane. To fix these problems, I reccomend switching Thundurs out for a Scarf Rotom-W. He causes Rain teams a lot of grief by volt switching around, giving you more momentum. He can also check Lando with Hydro Pump (although I dont think its a problem like you noted in your threat list).

Rock Polish Landorus, Bulk Up Conkeldurr, Life Orb Latios to an extent, Dragon Dance Scrafty, LO Starmie and Nasty Plot Thundurus look quite problematic for your team. Starmie and Latios can switch-in after a kill and KO everything with their superb coverage, with their recovery moves keeping them aloft. The set-up sweepers (Landorus, Conkeldurr, Scrafty, Thundurus) get their chances of set-up against Scizor choice-locked into the appropriate move for them. With a boost under their belt, they are capable of sweeping you outright as nothing on your team is capable of stopping them. Your best way to handle Thundurus, Starmie and Latios is apparently your Prankster Thunder Wave, which is not really a safe way to check these threats.

Taunt over Toxic and Swords Dance over Protect on Gliscor is important in helping you defeat BU Conkeldurr one on one, letting you SD up against it while taunting it from further set-up, in addition to helping you against stall and posing an offensive threat.

Against Rock Polish what you can do is minimize the opportunities you give it to set-up on you. Since he's only capable of setting up on Scizor locked into U-turn/Superpower, you can change Scizor to the Swords Dance variant. With this set, you no longer give RP Landorus any set-up opportunities. This Scizor variant will also give you a second check to Reuniclus and capable of sweeping stall, offense, and balanced alike. You really aren't missing anything from this change, as the power loss from the CB can be alleviated with a SD boost (and freedom to switch moves) which isn't hard to get, at all. Swords Dance | Bullet Punch | Superpower | Bug Bite / Roost | Adamant Nature | 236 HP | 252 Atk | 20 Spe with a Life Orb or 252 HP | 40 Atk | 216 SDef with Leftovers or Lum Berry.

With Scizor working as a SD variant, I find Lucario as the weak link. Scizor performs the role of a SD sweeper much better, because of the numerous opportunities it gets in this metagame and the ability to rip through fast and bulky foes alike. For your team to do better against DD Scarfty, NP Thundurus, Latios and Starmie, try a Life Orb Deoxys-S over Lucario. You might be thinking that Deoxys-S is a subpar offensive choice, thing is, for a team such as yours, it provides you with a reliable revenge killer to the aforementioned threats without locking itself into a move. Suggesting a bulky Pokemon instead will harm offensive momentum this team applies. Deoxys-S can clear the way for a potential Latias sweep as well by luring in and KOing Scizor with HP Fire, and Tyranitar with Superpower and being a great mid game attacker and being able to sweep late game with that sexy 180 base Speed.

Hey Kazuakikun, really nice team that you have here. I really don't like the idea of you having one water resist. Although you may not have problems with drizzle teams, the common combination of Rotom-W + Tyranitar, especially if Rotom-W is packing volt switch, will give you lots of trouble. I really do not think that your own Thundurus is doing much for this team at all. It seems more like the odd man out than anything. This team could also use another water resist as you are really putting quite a lot of pressure on Latias right now to help you check drizzle teams and against teams that spam u-turn or volt switch with scizor / rotom-w + tyranitar. I agree with YTP in that scarf Rotom-W would work perfectly over Thundurus. Modest, a moveset of volt switch / hydro pump / hidden power [fire] / trick, and a spread of 108 HP / 252 SpA / 148 Spe would work really well on this team. Rotom-W can provide you with an extra check to drizzle teams and helps you win against nasty plot Thundurus and various other threats.

Swords dance Lucario is a huge threat to this team. After it nets a boost on Scizor, your only way to have a chance of winning is by winning the speed tie with your own Lucario. A boosted extremspeed will do a lot of damage to Latias or Thundurus and close combat or ice punch can easily sweep through the rest of this team. I would recommend trying Gengar over your own Lucario to fix this problem. Gengar makes for an excellent Lucario check with the substitute / disable set along with helping a few other members on this team out quite a lot. With the substitute / disable combination, Gengar can lure in and muscle its way through threats such as Jirachi and Scizor both of which completely counter Latias, so you can sweep easier later in the match.

As for some smaller changes, I would run a spread of 248 HP / 44 Atk / 216 SpDef on your cb Scizor. This spread will allow you to avoid a 2HKO from specs Latios' draco meteor along with taking less stealth rock damage as you run 248 HP as opposed to the maximum investment. I agree with LK in that you should run a set of swords dance / earthquake / ice fang / taunt on Gliscor not only to beat Conkeldurr one on one, but to stop Ferrothorn and Skarmory from spiking on half of this team. Heatran should also run a calm nature as opposed to careful as calm nature lowers attack rather than special attack, which is much more beneficial.

gl.

Nice team and congratulations on your success!

For your Latias, putting 252 EV's into HP will give it 364 HP, creating 91 HP subs and only allowing you to switch seven times into Stealth Rocks without dying. Perhaps give it: 248 HP / 8 SAtk / 252 Spe
