ORAS OU Angels and more

-Introduction-
Hello guys,
a long time ago i built a new OU Team to play in the higher ladder. After some time I recognized that this team is pretty strong and because of that I want some feedback from the community about my team ^^

-Angels and more-

Harpy (Staraptor) (F) @ Choice Band
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Close Combat
- Quick Attack

Staraptor is my favourite Wallbreaker in the current metagame. His Brave Bird deals a lot of damage to even physically defensive Walls. With the U-turn I can get some switch-advantage, which helps a lot against some very defensive teams. The Close Combat helps against annoying Steel-Types like Heatran, Ferrothorn and Empoleons. In this team I need the Quick Attack for some priority. Furthermore it deals some good damage and revenge kills some weakened Pokemon.

Resetti (Excadrill) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

EARTHQUAKE EVERYTHING with Excadrill is incredible. His Power combined with his Speed, because of the Choice Scarf, is amazing. It deals very good damage to a lot of threats against my team. Excadrill is my Hazard Remover in my team. It´s just a common set with Rock Slide as Coverage-Move and EQ and Iron Head as STAB-Moves. While Staraptor struggles for example against a Rotom-W, Excadrill will kill it with Mold Breaker Earthquake.

3clean5me (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Pain Split

Thanks to Rotom-W´s great bulk, it can handle a lot of threads in the current metagame. With Will-O-Wisp I can weaken some physical Sweeper and get some better chances in a stall battle. I play Volt Switch to get switch-advantage in the moment, when my enemy switches his Pokemon to a Counter of Rotom-W. Furthermore I use Pain Split to get some recovery from defensive Pokemon.

Yin (Gengar) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dazzling Gleam
- Sludge Wave
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast

This is a common Set for Gengar. Sludge Wave and Shadow Ball as strong STAB-attacks and Dazzling Gleam and Focus Blast as Coverage-Moves. It deals a lot of damage with the Life Orb.

Yang (Clefable) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Aromatherapy
- Stealth Rock
- Wish
- Moonblast

Clefable is my special Wall and Set-Up-Stopper with his ability "Unaware". It´s a great supporter for my very offensive team as Wish-Healer, Hazard-Setter and Healer. Furthermore it can attack with his strong STAB-Attack "Moonblast".

sprite-mega-absol.png

Fallen Angel (Absol) (M) @ Absolite
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Flamethrower
- Play Rough

Mega-Absol is a strong Mega-Pokemon with his STAB Knock Off and Sucker Punch. It has a great pool of Coverage Moves and I chose Flamethrower against Steel-Types and Play Rough against strong Dragon-Types like Mega-Altaria, with which my team is struggeling. Play Rough hits a lot of Pokemon at least normal.

-Conclusion-
I´m content with this team, I won a lot of matches with this team.
(Excuse me, for my bad English ^^" )
Feedback is desired ^^

Hey klaklak, this was a pretty interesting team to look at!

Here's two things I first noticed when I saw your team:
1. Bisharp can be pretty annoying to play against, as it can easily damage/pick off a lot of your team at +2.
625.png

2. Keldeo is hard to switch into as Rotom-W and Clefable both take too much from Secret Sword and Hydro Pump respectively to be a check to it.
647.png

Because of this, I would recommend switching Mega Absol for a Mega Altaria with this spread:
Altaria @ Altarianite
Ability: Cloud Nine
EVs: 248 HP / 104 Def / 156 SpD
Bold Nature
- Roost
- Hyper Voice
- Heal Bell
- Flamethrower
This lets it switch into Keldeo's barring Icy Wind and kill/scare it out. However this still leaves u somewhat weak to Bisharp, as they outspeed and kill with Iron Head. Due to this, I would run Hippowdon instead of Gengar.
Hippowdon @ Smooth Stone
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Toxic
I don't like the role compression you have given to Clefable, so Hippowdon gives you a more reliable rocker. It also provides a Sand setter, which would allow Excadrill to run Sand Rush>Mold Breaker, Air Balloon>Choice Scarf and Swords Dance>Rapid Spin. Finally, now that you have a cleric in the form of Altaria, I would recommend running a Latios>Clefable for several reasons
Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- HP Fire
- Defog
This gives you a defogger which lets you use Swords Dance on Excadrill. This also gives you a pretty effective special wall-breaker that can lure in mons like Ferrothorn and Scizor with HP Fire.

Overall, pretty cool team. Staraptor's a fun mon to use n_n. Hope I helped~

Reactions: Sun
Threats:
I could speedcreep my Rotom-W to outspeed a jolly Bisharp so that I can burn it. Calc:
"+2 252 Atk Life Orb burned Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 248 HP / 40+ Def Rotom-W: 165-195 (54.4 - 64.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery"
A Choice Specs Keldeo will deal a lot of damage to my team but my specially defensive Wall Clefable can only get 2HKOd, but I still can react to the attacks, which he get locked. Calcs to Rotom-W:
"252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 248 HP / 40+ Def Rotom-W: 171-202 (56.4 - 66.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO"
"252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Hydro Pump vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-W: 126-149 (41.5 - 49.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO"
Calcs to Clefable:
"252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Clefable: 132-156 (33.5 - 39.6%) -- 27.9% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery"
"252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Hydro Pump vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Clefable: 207-244 (52.6 - 62%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery"
I can switch out, if he locks himself to Hydro Pump, to Rotom-W and if he switchs out, I can get switch-advantage per Volt Switch.
I can switch out, if he locks himself to Sacred Sword, to Clefable and support my teams with moves like Wish, Aromatherapy, Stealth Rock or attack with Moonblast, which 2HKO´s him and can lower his special attack.
Furthermore I think, if I play Sandstorm in my team, it wouldn´t be so good for my Staraptor because he will get some extra-damage.
You´re right, that it can destroy my team, but with my new Split/Strategy I just have to sac one Pokemon.
