*Annalysia's Team*

Hello everyone,
My name is Annalysia and I'm fairly new to Gen V.

I use Pokemon I enjoy using, which limits my ability to perform to the best of my ability, but it's what I enjoy. Please feel free to rate and make suggestions, I'm very open to criticism. (:

[/SIZE="2"]**Edits have been made; however, I have chosen to stick with a Paralysis-based strategy compared to Toxic Spikes or the like. So far, this team is coming together, and may not be optimal, but is extremely viable and fun.

Without further ado:
My team!

Whimsicott@Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Moveset:
~ U-turn
~ Leech Seed
~ Encore
~ Stun Spore

Whimsicott is very good glue for my team. Lacking a choice scarf user, many boosters can cause my team problems, and that's exactly what Whimsicott is best for. Priority Stun Spore, Encore and Leech Seed really help shut down the opposing team, while U-turn allows her to safely switch out after doing so. Overall, one of my favorite Pokemon to abuse.

Mienshao@Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
Nature: Naive
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpA
Moveset:
~ Fake out
~ U-turn
~ Hi Jump Kick
~ Hidden Power [Ice]

Mienshao is probably one of my favorite life orb users, able to shrug off its damage through Regenerator. Fake out helps pick off weakened foes, which again helps because of my lack of a choice scarf user. U-turn helps scout the team and activate her ability, while Hi Jump Kick is used for a super powerful STAB move. Hidden Power [Ice] is beautiful for nailing dragons and namely Gliscor.

468.gif

Togekiss@Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Def
Moveset:
~ Thunderwave
~ Roost
~ Air Slash
~ Flamethrower

Togekiss is great for abusing the paralysis that Whimsicott helps spread around the opposing team. Air Slash for flinchhax while Flamethrower helps round out her coverage. Roost keeps her nice and healthy. Her EV spread is slightly different, meant to compliment my team. The HP investment makes her especially bulky, saving her from a decent amount of OHKOs. The rest is poured into Special Attack to make her hit even harder.

59.gif

Arcanine@Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Moveset:
~ Flare Blitz
~ Close Combat
~ Wild Charge
~ Extremespeed

Arcanine is a real powerhouse, so throwing a Life Orb on him makes him that much more frightening. Flare Blitz after a Flash Fire boost really dents opponents, 2HKOing many things. Close Combat is mainly for Heatran, but helps take down other steels and such. When predicting a water switch-in, Volt Charge will nail them hard. Extremespeed is used to pick off weakened foes. Another standard EV spread, though still very effective. He does have a huge weakness to all of the recoil, but his ability to hit hard helps make up for that.

350.gif

Milotic@Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Moveset:
~ Scald
~ Ice Beam
~ Recover
~ Toxic

Milotic is a beautiful wall, and rounds out my WFG core. Scald is a very nifty STAB move, causing random burns while Ice Beam helps take out things that resist Scald. Recover makes her a wonderful staller, especially when used in tandem with Toxic. Milotic also doesn't mind grabbing burns and such, raising her Defense even further.

196.gif

Espeon@Leftovers
Ability: Magic Bounce
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Moveset:
~ Calm Mind
~ Psyshock
~ Shadow Ball
~ Hidden Power [Fighting]

And then there's Espeon. Magic Bounce really helps getting entry hazards onto the opponents field and keeping them off mine (especially with 2 members of my team holding a Stealth Rock weakness). Calm Mind helps beef up her already-high Special Attack. Psyshock is used as her STAB over Psychic mainly for things like Tentacruel, though I switch back and forth for testing. Shadow Ball helps slam ghosts, while Hidden Power [Fighting] helps nail dark-types or steels attempting to switch in, namely Tyranitar and Ferrothorn. With +1 Espeon is capable of OHKOing Tyranitar, which is no laughing matter.

And there ya go, my team. Hope you enjoyed, and please feel free to leave any questions, comments and concerns below.
Thank you for your time.

Milotic needs a phazing move in order to prevent getting set-up on. In addition, it will put an absolute stop to baton passing teams which are getting more common due to espeon.

I know whimsicott has its uses but honestly, it's not a very impressive pokemon as all it does is to annoy and good players know how to get by it. Why not try a roserade with toxic spikes instead? It helps milotic in toxic stalling opponents and give milotic either haze or dragon tail. The latter being able to phaze opponents and shuffle them around.

Roserade @ Black sludge/lefties
Calm, 252hp/120def/136 sp. def
- Toxic Spikes/Spikes
- Giga Drain
- Sleep Powder
- HP Fire/HP Ice/Rest

Milotic @ Lefties
Bold, 252hp/252 def/ 4 sp. atk
- Scald
- Ice beam/Toxic
- Recover
- Dragon Tail/ Haze

It's very easy to set-up on milotic or any bulky waters these days as without offensive evs, they don't hit that hard so it's crucial that they have a phazing move. Hope this helps!

I like this suggestion very much!
Toxic Spikes would be wonderful on my team, though it would require switching a few things around.
-- Espeon to Double Screen moveset.
-- Togekiss would most likely need to be replaced, as without paralysis she's rather underwhelming.
-- Perhaps even look over Arcanine's spread, making him focus more on bulk.

My only argument for Whimsicott is that it can spread paralysis insanely well, and stop any boosters through encore (which is why I opted for Toxic over Dragon Tail / Haze, though I could definitely see the usefulness in the latter).

Overall, it'd just change the whole pace of my team, but it's something I'm going to look at for sure. Thank you. (:

Yup no problem. In addition, you have like nothing to deal with dragons at the moment. Yes this means you need a steel type. if you're looking to replace togekiss, you can try sp. def jirachi who can annoy even better.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Careful; 252hp/220 sp.def/36 speed
- Wish
- Body Slam
- Iron Head
- Stealth Rock/U-turn/Fire punch

Or a skarmory will always be good too :)

3rd post, lmfao, hope I don't mess this up.
I have 2 Whimsicott sets that I think outcalsses your current mixed set.

Pure stall
Calm
Lefties
Cotton guard
Leech seed
Giga drain
Taunt

Tactical support
Hasty?Naive?Jolly?
Focus sash
Tailwind
Taunt
Encore
U-turn
The first set is good for things like Skarmory(unless it has brave bird) and Foretress cause neither of them can hurt you that much whereas they'll do basically nothing against your boosted defences and leech seed and giga drain will slowy drain them down. This Whimsicott is diffulcult to beat without the use of special supereffective moves where you can just switch to something.
The second set despite being less reliable (hence the sash) can be a dangerous move because your Arcanine and Togekiss won't outrun the metagame and the tailwind will be helpful and also you can stop entry hazards with taunt, if they're using fire types you use u-turn straight after and pass to Arcanine which will get flash fire and mixed with tailwind should not only be able to utilize that large attack and the massive boosted speed and along with flash fire (which hopefully you can get, fire types are pretty common) you'll be OHKO-ing basically EVERYTHING.

I am using a Mienshao for the core of my attacking team right now, the hidden power ice can be swapped for stone edge/rock slide depending cause HP is special and to be honest Mienshao's special isn't THAT (91 or something?) good. Unlesss you're really scared of Gliscor which, with Milotic you shouldn't be that afraid of. Also you're correct in the life orb but if you just want a speedy revenge killer then wide lens should be the way to go.

Ah Togekiss, the one pokemon which I've really never been able to work out. So you want to flinch with that ridiculous air slash but you have 80 base speed? .__.
So you can tank with a nice 120 sp.def but you're flying? .__.
The only REAL option is to switch in to it with the tailwind I reccomended or you can also give it a scarf and spam flinchs, burns or paralysises.

Arcanine, mabye a swords dance and life orb. maxed attack, life orb +2 attack, apart from ghost, extremespeed WILL destroy everything. I mean come on, what can actually stop that. Also steel are slow and then fire will own them anyway. You can swap 255 attack for speed cause with all those boosts you're gonna be killing stuff anyway. But with that nice speed you can outrun lukes and stuff and give them a CC. This comes from the fact that. THERE ARE NO FAST WALLLS. Nuff said.

Milotic, rest, marvel scale will work well, give it rest talk or something then just scald and ice beam.
Or you can give it haze, dragon tail toxic and scald for tactical support though I don't like this set as much, but it still works.

Here we go again, Espeon, Yawn+Protect/Detect=Epic win. You want a sash for it though or it'll be just sheer slaughter. You can keep the attacking set cuz 130 sp.att isn't a cakewalk. T-wave wand such will be nice cause admittingly you have quite a few attackers anyway.

Now, replacements.
Whimsicott can be switched for the normal leads such as Skarmory, sturdy and stealth rock. Azelf for speed, Foretress if the same as Skarmory but just depends which typing you prefer.

Espeon, Tentacruel? 120 sp.def is no cakewalk and a rapid spin along with toxic spikes will do well. Also Cryogonal with 130 sp.def which is truly epic along with ICE and levitate and also 95 speed you'll be pwning quite a few things.

Arcanine, again its brilliant right now so really the only one you can replace is for Lucario which I hate anyway or Dragonite which isn't the best so you know what, just keep that. But actually if you can get your hands on marvel scale(or whatever its called) Dragonite, you can use that instead with the DD but in my opinion its still not as good. Because if you switch to Foretress then that'll be good fire bait for Flash fires.

Mienshao.... meh, as much as I love Mienshao there are replacements. For one theres the Lamo Gliscor >:( but you can use it. If you want to go for sheer speed, use a Azelf, Croibat or Jolteon, all three are power hitters but you gotta watch out cause they're common and people come up with counters for them.

Togekiss can be replaced by Joleteon for paralysis or Arcanine for will-o-wisp. But I like Togekiss, tell me how Togekiss works out cause I'm intrested in it.

Milotic... Rotom-W works just as well but without the nice ability. Weezing for a powerful physical wall or even Vaporeon, Registeel, again the king of UU walls. Uxie for fast bulk.

I like your team, the only thing I would say is you're counting on low base speed too much and you need some other fast pokemon or you'll get killed by Uxie and Gliscor. Arcanine is probaly the best chance you stand against walls and really Arcanine is the best godamn sweeper ever!
